I wonder when will come the day that it’ll be the last time I ever fire this game up just to play dress-up, run around the open world, and take pictures. Surely doing this won’t bring me joy forever... But is sure as hell does for now.
There’s only been a handful of other games that I’d turn on over and over again after winning - or without caring if I ever won - just to run around without making any progress, doing any side quests, working toward any trophies, or really doing anything to be productive to move the plot along - Tomb Raider 2 and 3 - fucking around in Lara’s house, doing the obstacle courses, and locking Winston in the freezer... and Grand Theft Auto - enabling cheats and just being destructive... Well, and The Sims, but the whole point of that game is to kinda just waste your time... And my goal there is usually to kill as many of the neighbors as I can and collect their tomb stones, so I am working toward a goal... just not a goal set for me by the game itself. They didn’t realize what sorts of chaos they were encouraging by making “accidental” deaths a part of their games...
