I didn’t get the chance to show you the earrings I made with the scarab beetles I created from quick cure clay as they sold right away. Lucky me. I think my earrings are getting longer and longer. How long is too long? These have a drop of 13.5 cm. Yikes. I’ve used two of those Austrian Tinies buttons I posted about and some reclaimed ceramic beads with a lovely Raku blue glaze. I think I used all metal types in this piece too; there is sterling silver, copper, brass, bronze and gold (plate). My last raw quartz spinning top shape crystals have been made into earrings and one necklace to follow. I wish I had more of these. I love that they’re a bit wonky, as is the Roman glass I used at the top, so it kinda evens out. Finally got to use the hand carved antique Chinese Hedaio nut beads with their amazing detail plus hand carved bone bead with stars on the sides. Finally, on the last dangle are beads I made using my recipe of Apoxie sculpt clay and cement with @anvilartifacts faux Raku paint tutorial (you can find on their Etsy shop).
