Prevention and Diversion Toolkit Available
Resources for Improving Service for
Homeless and At-Risk Households
The National Alliance to End Homelessness has released a new Prevention and Shelter Diversion Toolkit. This toolkit provides:
More specific guidance on best practices when it comes to shelter diversion and prevention,
Materials on assessment for prevention/diversion eligibility and targeting strategies, and
Specific community examples of implementation.
Communities can use this information to help continue to develop and refine their coordinated assessment processes and improve the way they serve at-risk and homeless households.
This toolkit is the companion piece to the Coordinated Assessment Toolkit. If you have feedback, questions, or suggested additions for the toolkit, please should contact Kim Walker, Capacity Building Associate, National Alliance to End Homelessness.
