Thanks for the ask, I was very busy these days, so it took longer than expected, but it’s finally here :)
1. What made you first get into simarkus?
My friends. Back when we had a dbh cosplay/roleplay group, one of them was looking for someone who would play Simon to her Markus. The ship seemed cute and wholesome to me, so I thought why not. We played a lot then and I started getting fonder of the ship and of both Markus and Simon. We don’t roleplay anymore and I put my cosplay plans on hold, but I still love creating other content for my favorite boys. That’s basically the whole story of how I went down the Simarkus rabbit hole XD
However, if I had to choose one in-game moment when I noticed the potential, though, it would be the church scene, where Simon tells Markus: “Wherever you need to go, we’ll follow you.” and then watches as he leaves, as if he wants to tell him something more, but talks himself out of it. The subtle tragedy of it, the yearning and the stolen looks were what made me realize that this is the ship for me.
2. Do you think Cyberlife eventually makes thirium in different colours like Gatorade?
I’m not sure they would change the color, but I believe that a lot of androids after the revolution would be interested to have more “food” options like other people have, so CyberLife would eventually start selling thirium products to them like thirium cookies, pancakes, “alcoholic” beverages and so on. And if they did, there is a chance that they would make some have different colors (mixed drinks, etc.).
3. What do deviant androids do at night when humans sleep? They probably don’t need more than a few hours of stasis.
I think that depends on their personality and what hobbies they start developing after they deviate. Markus would definitively use the spare hours to work or to paint pictures, Simon would probably try something relaxing, like yoga or baking, Josh would catch up with his reading and North would take interest in things like boxing (which would probably cost her a lot of noise complaints from her neighbors), learning more self-defense tricks, and so on. Other deviants, like Connor or Rupert, would use the hours before dawn to take care of their pets or to learn more about them. And last but not least, androids like Ralph would have a lot of flowers in their flats or houses to take care of. Basically anything that catches their interest and keeps them occupied.
