It’s a fucking beautiful outside. I’m done with work. I’m off tomorrow. We’re gonna grill out. I sometimes associate the clothes I have on with work. I’m trying out Some skirts and tops I’ve bought in the last few months but maybe never worked into my wardrobe. I don’t know if the skirt is a winner, it’s a little more snug than I like. 278/365 - Woke up feeling #wolfy. Found out our car had been broken into. I don’t think anything was taken. Felt grumpy and sad about it. Went for tacos after work with Corey and decided on a lark to hit the Southside @goodwillswpa store. Found something AMAZING and knew I had to just buy it and try it on once I got home. 160/365 - Yinz get to see the full force of my #thrifting prowess & #AssholeStyle wardrobe. While a whole lot of what I do is truly just grabbing a top, a skirt/sweater/scarf & putting on my Tevas or black wedge heels... I have a folder on my phone of my Signature (read; frequently worn) Pieces so that I can contrast/compare while out thrifting. This is mostly for work, tbh, but helps all around when you want to know if the colors are even sort of close between that pencil skirt you love and the pattern on a shirt. My suggestions: - Use natural/diffused lighting (AKA sunlight through sheer white curtains.) - Take close up pics of the fabric & photos of you in it. - When going to the thrift store: Take cash & your card. Wear a skirt over bike shorts & tight tank under your tshirt. A few of my favorite thrifts here in #PGH don't have dressing rooms. - Some thrifts (i.e. The GOOD ones) sort by color & type of clothing, some by size & sort of by type (Looking at YOU @goodwillswpa, up your game!) so LOOK THROUGH EVERYTHING. I can't stress this enough. Pull things out of the rack & hold it up. - Try on things where the tag doesn't always say the "size you think you are." Women's clothing sizing is a damned joke. No 2 companies do anything alike & some companies alter their sizing over time or styles of clothes. Take it to the dressing room & try it on if it even looks sort of manageable! - If something doesn't fit, try not to let it get you down. I've had entire days where every single shirt I've tried didn't fit no matter what the tag said. IT ISN'T YOU, IT'S THEM! - See something AMAZING that doesn't fit, have a friend you know would fit/love it? Grab it for them. Text them & tell them. Can't think of someone specific? 125/365 - Best compliment in ages came from a guy at the bus stop in the Southside today. He hadn't ever seen a girl as cute as me look as tough. Pigtails? CHECK! Hot pink vest with a velvet vulva? CHECK! Pink tank top and pink and turquoise plaid shirt? CHECK! Satin giant strawberry handbag? CHECK! Seeming like I could pick you up and throw you into the street if you mess with me? FUCKING YOU KNOW IT!
