Thoughts of the beach, I’m thinking along the lines of that song that says,” I got my toes in water, ass in the sand.  Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand.  Life is good today.”

It makes me want to wish for the weekend to arrive faster, for the perfect evening at the beach.  That time of day when the sun has started to go down, the shade is making the sand feel so nice and cool between the toes, sitting comfy in a low chair with a nice ice-cold drink of your choice, the radio is playing your favorite tunes and you are in the company of a good friend, or your special someone and the mood is just perfect.  Laughing, joking around, remembering when and of course, people watching.

I have not had a good beach day in a very long time.  I guess it is  true what they say, we take for granted what is around us every day.  It is good to take a break, miss it, want to feel the cool salty breeze, hear the seagulls off in a  hopefully long distance. The more I think about it, the more I really want the weekend to come on and hurry!

Although I like people watching, there are times that I prefer the solace of the beach, when all you hear is the waves breaking and the force of the wind as it blows your hair this way and that. I like to think that I can leave my thoughts there, that they blow away as I release them and the energies that come with them.

Thankfully I am surrounded by beaches and parks and I do believe I have my next weekend plans, or the making of them.  Now to find a willing partner.
