ASTER- "I think I may have found something. There is an E.D. Smith, female that I found in the city directory for Willow Creek. Who knows, maybe she was married or is using the name Smith as an alias."

ALEXIS- "We should check it out."

ASTER- "We need to do it before Mom and Dad get back with our new brother. I don't want to have to answer questions as to where we are going and what we are doing."

ALEXIS- "Maybe Joel and Finn know something, I will give them a call."

ASTER- "Lexi, thank you. I know I've become obsessed with this, and it may all be a farce in Edith's mind, but I need to know."

ALEXIS- "That's what you do when you care about someone. Sometime I think with us being so smart, that it is part of who we are to find the truth. I in this with you, until we can find the real truth."

For the next few days, Aster and Alexis both scoured the internet for anything on Ellen Dennison.

ASTER- "This is beginning to get so frustrating. It's like she doesn't exist.

ALEXIS- "Remember, maybe she doesn't, but we need to not leave any possibility uncovered."

They stay up talking until they both are overcome by exhaustion and fall asleep, still clothed...

Alexis stands up to go to her side of the room. Aster stands up with her and takes her into her arms...

ASTER- "I do you love you, there is just so much going on right now, my head is all turned upside down. But one thing is certain, my love for you."

With that she kisses her again, and they fall onto the bed.

Alexis comes into the room they share. She wants to discuss them, but she knows right now is not the time. Instead she tries to offer support.

ALEXIS- "You really don't have to do anything right now. Think it through. Edith is not going anywhere, and as far as we know, this Ellen doesn't even really exists. Your mother never has said anything about having a sister, right?"

ASTER- "Never. She has never said she had a sister. She has always said she was an only child, like dad."

ALEXIS- "Okay then. Try and see if we can find an Ellen Dennison.  If she is real there has to be some kind of trail to her."

ASTER- "True, I mean I found Edith and she is in a mental hospital."

ALEXIS- "Exactly my point. Edith could have made this all up in her mind."

ASTER- "But Joel and Finn said themselves that her daughter visits her every week ...that's it!!  We could go there next Monday and wait to see who it is that visits her."

After returning home from meeting Edith, Aster sat in her room, looking at herself in the mirror.

ASTER- "What do I do with this??  Do I tell my mother, and maybe bring up something she has tried to forget her whole life? Tell her the man she THOUGHT was her father isn't? Do I go to the authorities and tell them that Edith is innocent of poisoning her husband, and her daughter Ellen is actually the killer??  Or do I just accept that this woman is mad and everything she told me is all just her own reality and none of it is true?"

Aster got up to leave and Edith came over to her and gave her a hug.

EDITH- "You look beautiful sweetie. I hope you remember to tell Erin. I don't want her to think I was a horrible mother."

ASTER- "I will tell her. I really have to go now."

With that Aster turned and ran from the room and out to the car where Alexis was waiting for her. She was silent all the way home.

Aster sat there for a moment and let it all soak in. She looked at the woman across from her, realizing that this entire story could be all a lie, but she wanted to give her peace...

ASTER- "Yes, Edith. I will tell Erin. So where does your daughter Ellen live now?"

EDITH- "She has the old house. She lives there in Willow Creek. With her cat. She comes and sees me every week. I am glad you came to see me. You will come back again, right?

ASTER- "Sure Edith. I will come and see you.
