biography:
Alveraz was a name that had been cast down for generations. Angels could be stuck up like that. That angelic sweetness, and kindness was more of a stereotype. Catalina was born to a family that was considered fallen. Because of this—people decided they knew her before even taking the chance to learn more than her name. She grew up with, “It’s who we are.” Or “That’s just how it is.” She was held back because of something as miniscule as her name, for something her family had done centuries ago. She could barely remember the entire tale of her ancestor’s selfish behavior. She just knew he lost his wings for it, and since then their family had been living lives as second class citizens.
Well, screw that. Catalina was going to forge her own path, she spent too long being held back by her family. Once the new world was discovered Cat took to mortal world to make her own life. Her last name nothing but a reminder of what she came from. Where she started from and what she was now. Even living a subtle, casual life in Asteria was like a gold mine to her. And it made sense to be under the watchful eyes of hunters.

Yeong-Rae barely remembers his parents. The most his memories allow for him to recall are soft voices. His older brother Ki-Moon told him that they left them. That after they had Se-Ho, they decided feeding five mouths was too difficult. Yeong-Rae began mimicking his older brother. Soaked up every bit of advice that he gave him. Rule number one, was always look out for number one. Ki-Moon made sure they always had something to eat, made sure they didn’t stay in one building for too long. When the food ran short, they used magic. Nothing major, they would sit in the back alleys of restaurants. Wait for someone to come out with food. Yeong-Rae’s job was to remember the times that the restaurants would throw the leftovers out. Se-Ho’s job was to make sure nobody was coming. Their lives fell into this cycle. Moving to a new abandoned building every few days, sneaking into gyms to use the public showers, attending school, and if they were lucky a restaurant owner would put something extra out for the three stray kittens.
This cycle continued for a while, until their luck ran out. The three barely made it out of a building that the police had started to patrol. They could hear people behind them getting grabbed. The three spent the night moving from place to place trying to figure out what to do next. There was always a plan on the back of their mind, they never thought that they’d use it. There was a nice elderly woman that lived near the public school, she spent most of her time walking around the buildings and alleys handing food out. The three always hid when she came by. Ki-Moon thought the woman would report them. The next day the woman came she saw two small children huddled in a box with a cat. Instead of reporting the kids and bringing the cat to a shelter she took them home. Made a big meal and went out to buy them clothes. They lived with the woman, making sure to always put extra on their plates for Ki-Moon. This continued for years, until Ki-Moon saved up enough to get an apartment. When Yeong-Rae entered his senior year, the woman began to push him in the direction of colleges.
She didn’t take no for an answer, so Yeong-Rae went into college for art. Spending most of his free time learning how to bartend. When he wasn’t doing that he was dropping by Ki-Moon’s to spend the weekends. His older brother mentioned that he was going to a place called Asteria Falls, that they should follow him when they got the chance. And over the next few months Yeong-Rae kept bringing the town up, mentioned that it was supposed to be quite beautiful. It wasn’t until Se-Ho finished schooling that the woman decided to pick everything up and take them to the town. Gently joking that her husband would have loved them after years of trying and failing to have kids, the two fell into her lap seven years too late. She brought them to the grave site before the big move. It was a long plane ride, and instead of moving into one house like Yeong-Rae was expecting, the woman yet again surprised them. She bought two house units, one for herself and one for the boys. She told them, that if they wanted a wall could be knocked out to connect the two houses.
But that had been a long time ago. And now Yeong-Rae could barely remember the woman’s name. All he had left of her was a house, with her belongings. He’d moved into the house to give Se-Ho privacy and filled it with paintings. Went through her old recipes and tried to make them how she did, but there was always something missing. Something that he couldn’t remember. He traveled back to his hometown once, and spent the entire time trying to find the graves. It seemed strange to him that he couldn’t remember much about her. After all, she’d saved them. Brought them in and raised them, treated them how their parents should have. In all rights she was a mother to them. A part of him always knew that she would be gone one day, but another part. A darker part of him, always whispered to find a way to bring her back. Yeong-Rae never admit that to anyone, he thought if he never said it aloud it wouldn’t exist. He knew better, it was dangerous. Because magic always had a price. And he wasn’t sure if it was worth paying the price to bring back someone who’s time had long since expired.
personality:
+Clever, +Creative, +Protective
-Dependent, -Reserved, -Elusive
Yeong-Rae’s childhood was a game. Run, duck, stay quiet, remain out of sight, watch the figures move past. It was as if he had the missing piece of something that people searched for endlessly. And each time they didn’t find it the bigger Yeong-Rae felt. You always had to keep your wits about you. It was a never-ending test of how far you could go. How far you were willing to go, to protect yourself. Factor in siblings, and you have a test of how far you’d go to protect them as well. Maybe that’s why he works his memories into his paintings. Uses his recollections as paint and paves his life story on paintings that won’t become exposed.
Because if they became exposed, so was he. He remembers the countless times he ended things because he realized he’d been exposed just like the other person. He danced around his past, knowing that nobody would understand at all. How could they understand? They didn’t live through it. Something he’ll always hate is that he leans towards those that remind him of his family. He’ll open slightly, throwing pieces of information at them. But keeping the major parts to himself. Giving them just enough to figure things out, but never anything more. And… if you were lucky enough to get more then the scraps he threw out. He would try pushing you as far as he could. It’s all fun and games until you know too much about him.
little something extra: I made a playlist for him so if you’d like to listen to it you can find it here

biography:
Her story begins with a tragic car accident before she was even born. Her biological mother was still carrying her in her womb, when a drunken truck driver plummets into the car she was in with her husband. Her biological father was pronounced dead at the scene, while her mother received a medical procedure before she died, after she went through the emergency birth. The little girl was adopted at the tender age of two weeks by Noah and Ava Alderidge, a family friend who quickly took her in and raised her as their own daughter. They named her Luna, from the time that she was born. It was rather a beautiful night despite the tragedy, where the skies are clear and the full moon appeared at the window of her hospital room.
Luna Celeste Alderidge was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the oldest among three siblings– one same age brother and one youngest sister, the biological children of her adopted parents, the youngest was born in span two years later– Luna, was taking her role seriously. She always makes sure that they remember that they got her back, whenever they needed her the most. She wasn’t even hesitate to get in a fight with whoever start to look down her siblings. Some say, she was being overprotective – but she could really care less about that, since they are the ones that she ever had.
She cherished her family to the point where it was hard for her to part ways with them to pursue her passion in dancing. Her father even had to make sure for her to submit her scholarship application to the Juilliard School, despite her anguish and doubt. And they couldn’t be more proud when she got accepted. Of course, during her stay she makes quite an effort to call her parents and her siblings almost every day, whenever she can.
It was part of their tradition to go on a hiking trip during the spring break and this year, Luna was coming home to celebrate her youngest sister enrollment to the university and reward her with a surprise trip to Washington. It was from the money she earns from working a part time job, teaching dance to the group of children in her place, during her free time. It was all worth it, upon seeing the look on her sister’s face.
The trip went smoothly and they reached the camping spot she had booked for them safely. The area was.. unreasonable quiet and deserted, with the lack of presence of another person. As her sister fast asleep, Luna takes the seat in front of their tent while her eyes caught a person not far from where she stays, who was wobbling his way to deep into the forest from afar and she foolishly decides to come after him. After a couple of minutes strolling in the woods, it turns out to be a fruitless effort, as if she was convinced what was happening earlier was the fragment of her imagination. On her way back, she listens to rustles coming from her side. As she turned around, her gaze found a creature standing not far from her. A wolf, staring deep into her eyes. She blinked, too bewildered to move, as if she knew it might trigger the creature to launch itself at her. The moment she turned around, the wolf start to leap towards her and she feel a sharp sinking feeling against her abdomen. She turned around and found the wolf was running away from her.
Luna makes her way toward the camp, with her hand pressed on her wound, trying to get a hold on herself. But, the excruciating pain that comes from her wound becomes unbearable followed by her bone that began to ache. She clenched her fingers, digging her nails into her palm to try to ease the pain that began to reach her chest. Her heart was racing, undeniably fast. She was convinced that she was dying. Her body seems to fight back as she slowly loses control. A loud cry emits from her lips as she collapsed on the ground. Her eyes vaguely caught a sight of a couple of people get inside her tent and took her seemingly unconscious sister. Her hand was desperately reaching for her sister, but instead of hand, she was seeing something furry, almost like a paw, and dark patches appear on the edge of her vision, claiming her consciousness.
The moment her eyes flew open, she can tell that she’s no longer anywhere near her initial place. It was.. different – colder. And ahead of her, stood someone she can’t recognize, staring with his captivating eyes,

BIOGRAPHY “Have you ever heard of selective mutism?” At the time, no, he hadn’t. But now, selective mutism was a term Emile was very familiar with. Imagine spending the majority of your life adrift. No, not really adrift. He was very much anchored to Asteria Falls, but less figuratively he and his family literally lived in one of Asteria Falls’ lakes, as one would expect from merfolk. Being on land was different for him. Emile was anxious there; off balance and awkward. He was very much always the kid to hide behind his parents’ legs or the collars of his own sweaters. Where his brothers were eager to get out there and explore another world where their fins were replaced with feet, Emile wanted nothing more than to retreat to his watery bed. This anxiety he harbored has carried with him to adulthood. His parents wanted the best for their children, all three of them. They sent them off to school, despite living in a lake, and even rented an apartment so their children had somewhere to invite friends over and do their homework. It wasn’t exactly functional, but it was their variety of dysfunction that proved they were so loving to one another. Emile’s parents adored their children. When two of three boys came out as gay, they didn’t so much as bat an eye. They were accepting through and through. But Emile couldn’t shake his anxieties as most with anxiety cannot. It sculpted him into a taciturn individual. Now, despite years of therapy that he still attends, he’s still a man of few words and many anxieties. His brothers have moved from Asteria Falls, but he still resides, living in the water and his own apartment now, where he carries out the tradition of keeping his things while he lives his live elsewhere.
PERSONALITY He’s an immeasurably loving individual, but you have to open up to him before he’ll open up to you. Once you get him talking, it’s almost hard to make him stop though. It takes a lot to get him riled up. Emile is a patient man and not much really sets him off except disrespect, be that direct at him or others. He lives with anxiety (and his bio was largely about that) but that’s not all of who he is, it’s just a leading factor that he’s learning to manage. He’s a really happy guy under the anxiety, he’s just trying to show it. He wouldn’t say it, but he’s lonely. He wants to have friends and lovers, but he doesn’t know how to when he can barely talk to anyone as it is.

Some are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but Kasim? Kasim was born to a mother and father who couldn’t have loved each other less. He came out fighting and only learned from the best from there on out. His parents would fight constantly. Sometimes their screaming matches would go on for hours. He couldn’t understand why they stuck together. He figured it was too much paperwork, because it certainly wasn’t for love. The tension in that household bred a son who sought attention by the worst means possible. Kasim started scraping on the playground as early as third grade. He smoked at age eleven and started drinking by fifteen. He was always a “problem” in the eyes of his father at very least. His father seemed to despise him, pushing him to his absolute limit, and then some. As he grew, his mother wasn’t the only target of his father’s rage. His mother saw past his actions and loved him despite them. She was his saving grace in the darker periods of his youth.
When he was sixteen, however, enough was enough and Kasim’s mother walked out on he and his father without a word. Kasim decided then it was best he did the same. Old enough to be legally emancipated, he petitioned the court and was granted his freedom from his father. That same day, he left much in the same fashion as his mother, without a word. He had no money and no plan and nowhere to go. So he packed what he could in the trunk of his car and vanished as far as anyone else was concerned. He’s lived just about anywhere you can think of, constantly chasing new horizons. Or at least he was.
Never making quite enough to scrape by, he clung by the skin of his teeth to finding a reason to keep going. He’s quite the impulse spender, never having had a parent really there to tell him “no” from time to time. He’s got a long running hobby of dabbling with drugs and drink, so he’s never been great at getting or keeping jobs or getting or keeping money. He’s managed to find a job here and there, however.
Working odd jobs has become his specialty, and he never sticks with one for too long. He’s always restless and never wants to stay in one spot for too long. When he did have a job for a brief time in northern California, he was a barista at the local dive bar. Walking home one night from work, he was exhausted, focused only on getting back to his car and going the fuck to sleep. He needed to move his car from a loading zone before he got another ticket. Half asleep and focused on his phone, he never saw the massive dog that ran out in front of his car until the very last second.
Slamming on the brakes, Kasim silently prayed to whoever was listening that he not hit the thing and ruin his car, but fate wasn’t on his side. Or maybe this was what was in the cards for him all along. After colliding with the animal, he dashed out to see if it survived, cursing under his breath. The dog was massive and, to him, looked like some kind of wolfy-husky thing. Its breathing laboured, he reached out to stroke it, thinking it was taking its last breaths. In return, the beast lashed out and bit Kasim’s arm, shaking it to and fro. He had to kick the dog to get his arm free, and the dog rose to its feet and dashed off, limping. Knowing he didn’t have health insurance, Kasim crawled back into his car and did his best to bandage it up. It didn’t heal quite right, leaving him with a wicked scar some weeks later.
Kasim thought it was just bad luck and a run in with the wrong dog until the next full moon. It was as cliche as it could get, but it was the unknown to Kasim. That first shift was nearly five years before the winds of fortune brought him into Asteria Falls. While somewhere in between northern California and southern Oregon, he’d heard of some place he could find sanctuary and others like him if he so chose to seek it out. Slowly, he trekked north, looking to find somewhere he fit in. He rolled in and has been there for a few days at most at this point, still living out of his car and still doing his absolute best to scrape by. For now, he’s here to stay. Finally, those horizons he’s been chasing seem to have led him here.
PERSONALITY:
• He isn’t necessarily combative, but for sure an instigator. If he smells a fight coming, even if he thinks he’ll lose, he likes to provoke to get his adrenaline up.
• Kasim is a truly loving and caring person somewhere under all the vague aggression and standoffishness. He’s jaded from his parents treatment and not exactly keen on making friends or lovers, but he’s loyal once he’s made them.
• He has a definite drive for pleasure, always seeking out another lay or another high. He’s self indulgent in that way, and definitely impulsive. He likes to get things sent to his P.O. box that he’ll never use, like ladybug farms and books on how to craft with cat hair. His trunk has become half a wardrobe, and half a random storage unit because of that.
• Kasim for sure puts off that bad boy vibe and he likes to keep it that way. He’s never truly learned to regulate his emotions and enjoys putting up a facade that he’s a loose cannon type.

Just before Lillian was born a terrible storm had passed into the town of Bangor, Maine. Lighting struck the town like it was the fourth of July firework show. The power had been out four hours now and the last thing Lillian’s mother wanted to was give birth during this wicked storm, however Lillian had other ideas. The moment she had entered the world on August 20th the storm had stopped and the sun had come out. In honor of her Grandmothers favorite flower she was gifted the name Lillian. Five months later and the two new parents continued to dote on their lovely daughter. Liam, Lily’s dad and also the Alpha of the Lycan pack, stepped away from his family to take a quick meeting with Ardan Coldwell. She used her last remaining energy to get her daughter to the study. The pack was caught off guard and the outcome were not in there favor especially against guns with sliver bullets. The Alpha needed his baby girl to be safe so he made the hardest decision he ever had to make. Her plans for the summer have changed and now she’s looking for answers about her past. biography:
TW death mention, insanity mentions, hexing mentions, drug mentions
at five she is misunderstood, resilient, excitable, and creative,
asteria falls, while cozy, doesn’t feel like a well-suited home for ravana. as a child there'a no physical landmarks of the area that she has a lot of value connected to. nothing that gives her something to want to stay. instead, she just remembers her family. they don’t make a lot of money. her mother staya at home with her, while her father does something she can’t honestly recall. it’s simple- really just basic, but it was all she knows, and she does love her life.
at the age of five, it doesn’t mean anything, but her family’s line of magic goes back very far. as far back as the first people who settled in asteria falls, actually. this doesn’t mean anything other than some words that seem to have been stolen from a fairy tale. she doesn’t know that that kind of lineage would actually give her incredible power.
at eleven she is distraught, confused, quiet, and shy.
it’s storming when her aunt quietly knocks on her door. her parents are out for date and are leaving her in charge for the night. it’s not something that’s ever happened before, so she’s taking the responsibility of not burning the house down seriously. ravana isn’t expecting her aunt though. especially because her parents aren’t close to her.
the young witch falls to her knees as she’s told the sad news that her parents were killed in a car accident.
there’s hope for comfort though. there’s a woman that ravana grew up with. ravana loves her just as she would another parent, but just after her parents car accident, she is told that viola will never come back. viola leaves the coven all together, something that’s never been done before.
at fifteen ravana is wide-eyed, ready to learn, loved, and expressive.
ravana has found love. it’s a love so strong it makes her feel weightless and inspired. he is a warlock in the coven, adrian. he is kind, charismatic, adventurous, and, most important to her, ambitious. they knew each other since they were children, but in their adolescence they’ve grown closer. high school sweethearts is one way to put it, but they are more than that. they’re a power couple. they make their coven proud. the coven hopes that their fairy tale of a love story would draw the coven members closer. it does, but it’s driving the the duo away.
at eighteen ravana is curious, anxious, greedy, and ravenous.
viola’s a strong woman, and displays rebellion; acts independently. viola had been an inspiration to ravana and adrian. if she had left the coven, so could they. they will run away and start their own coven. just ravana, adrian and his best friend, jax. they have their plan.
everything is put into motion, but as they’re leaving. jax starts to have cold feet. he is scared about how the coven would react. they didn’t respond well when viola had left. there’s no telling what they could do to the young trio.
and he is right.
adrian and ravana are confronted by ravana’s aunt and the leader of the coven while trying to get to jax. they are infuriated at the idea of losing not only one more, but three coven members. they decide to make a lesson out of them. ravana’s aunt casts a hex on her lover. cursing him to an unsound mind. he falls immediately into insanity, but she has run to avoid a hex of her own.
at nineteen she is scared, lost, desperate, and alone.
she leaves town for nearly a year as she tries to work out a protection spell to shield her from the coven. adrian has been moved to a full time facility in Seattle, so she is able to visit him continuously before she finds it necessary to go back to asteria falls. she has a bone to pick, as well as wanting to be there for jax. he has been left alone for nearly a year.
at twenty-four ravana is callous, paranoid, faithless, and cruel.
adrian’s mental state continually deteriorates. the witch has keeps working diligently to try and come up with a counter hex, or some kind of spell to help him, but nothing is working. through this struggle she’s picked up the dirty habit of taking vampire’s blood along with other drugs because of it’s hallucinogenic effects it allows her to imagine and see adrian again.
for money ravana does palm readings, sells potions, and does spells for people in need. thankfully she inherited her family’s old house. she was never good at holding down a job so money comes in sporadically. she’s been doing most of her business out of her house, which had brought on another set of troubles.
she’s still working diligently to try and free her love. but all leads and ideas shes had to break the hex are failing. she’s clinging on to the idea of saving him even though she has no idea how to even do that.

tw: Suicide Mention
There wasn’t much to do growing up in the mortal realm in the 1500’s. But Reyna’s father loved mortal culture. It was the reason he’d made the decision to take his family to hide among them. The Levine family adapted as the years slowly passed by. Constantly moving locations and changing jobs to ensure nobody would find out. And with this type of life you couldn’t grow too attached to those around you. There was an emptiness growing inside of her that she couldn’t undo. The empty connections she made, stories she spun to the people she met. None of it mattered. Why would it? She could know everything about them, but they knew nothing about her. They knew that she was the ‘strange’ girl from a ‘far off land’. Each time she heard the words she had to repress the urge to roll her eyes. She didn’t care about… Any of it.
Reyna’s life had been a vicious cycle of boredom, moving, and lies for years. It wasn’t until they stopped in a small village that Reyna found something… Fun. Something that made her life have meaning. This entertainment came in the form of a native to the village named Gail. She was a simply the daughter of a baker. But Reyna thought she was so much more. She knew she shouldn’t get close, but she couldn’t help it… There was just something so special about the girl. Something that made her feel emotions so deep she was afraid of what they meant. All that seemed to cross her mind was the brunette girl. So, she kept visiting. She got closer, and closer to the girl. Each time she heard the girl say her name, she felt her heart soar. Reyna in return ensured the blood would race through Gail’s body. So, she convinced her to leap from cliffs, and investigate caves. And do so much more.
Eventually her parents decided they’d spent too much time in the small village. Everything was packed, and they left in the middle of the night. The only thing Reyna had left of her was the memories. It wasn’t until a fortnight had passed that she found the reason they left. A group of hunters had been approaching the area. There would be nothing left but rubble. She remembers, this is the first time she muses her mother is a coward. Aleja knew battles, they could have intervened. Her mother knew how to stand her ground. She had to know, or she would have been dead long ago. She didn’t speak to the woman for months, lashing out in anger when she suggests that the girl was nothing more than someone Reyna was using to pass the time with.
A century had passed before she tried to make friends again. She relished in the fact that the other people around them loved her. It made her feel special again. She loved that when walking in a room everyone seemed to notice her. The lingering eyes and whispers were something she grew to love. The secrets shared between them made her heart soar. She’d only ever had a handful of friends. But everywhere she went in the town people ‘her age’ seemed to recognize her. It wasn’t until one day she realized that she was the one knowing everything about them, and they knew nothing of her. She quickly learned that her friends didn’t care. They only enjoyed the idea of her, not the person she was. Everybody loved her, but nobody liked her…and realizing that only made her feel more alone.
That all changed when she met another person that provided meaning to her life. One of her own kind. A crestfallen girl by the name of Stacia. The two quickly became friends, spending all their time together. They quickly grew close as the months progressed. How Stacia treated her was different than the others, she wanted to know about her. She never noticed that the smile was always plastered on. She always heard it would be easy, all you had to do was sit there and pray you were wrong. But there was a distinct difference between humans and fae. There was still something in front of you to pray to be wrong about, but all that was left of the girl was cascading dust. And all the prayers in the world would never change that.
A few decades later her family moved to America, and Reyna vowed never to set foot in the only place that reminded her of their home again. Her brother found his way into a medical program eventually working through the ranks. Her mother flocked to joining whatever fight was happening, and her father settled on teaching history. Who better than someone who lived through it? Of course, his students would never know that. But Reyna had her mind set on a promise. She wore Stacia’s memory close to her heart, and eventually found her way to Asteria Falls. Something Aleja was never happy about.
personality:
+Headstrong +Spontaneous +Well-intentioned
-Sarcastic -Reckless -Volatile
Reyna was as untamed as fire and as cold as ice. The fae is wild and free, showing little regard for the emotions of those around her. Her touch can sting and burn, even if her intentions are pure of heart. She was a stick of dynamite lit from both ends. Her hearts on fire and she’s got a thirst for adventure that seems to run through her veins. She’s got her sights set on the wild roller coaster that her life always seems to be. Her walls are raised around difficult memories, but her head is higher. Something she takes extraordinary pride in. Life’s a game after all, and everyone is holding cards, waiting for leverage against you. Times are changing and people with it.
