it's  nice  to  be  at  one  table  with  his  brothers.  yes,  they  all  lived  in  the  same  city,  but  they  were  all  ADULTS  now.  well,  most  of  them  had  been  adults  for  awhile,  it  was  just  atlas  who  had  to  catch  up.  although,  his  schedule  wasn't  what  he'd  consider  ' adult  busy '.  perhaps  he  was  just  falling  behind,  in  classic atlas fashion.  marco's  gotten  up  to  go  to  the  bathroom,  and  atlas  waits  until  he's  fully  out  of  view  before  playing  the  role  of  LITTLE  BROTHER.  “so…”  he  takes  a  napkin,  wiping  the  grease  off  of  his  fingers.  “are  you  ever  planning  on  telling  us  about  this  secret  wife  of  yours  ?  or  am  i  just  the  last  person  you  tell  –  AS  ALWAYS  ?”

Life was different now. It had been six months since they'd moved and Edgar was still trying to find his footing. It was different here in Palmview than it had been in Denver, different than it had been in New Haven, and even more so than it had been in Avignon, but if there was one constant in Edgar's life it was change. Change had taken him from a scared child living in a broken family, to a confident business, to a man on the verge of losing his family. But that was behind him now. Edgar would do whatever it took to ensure that his family remained intact, even if that meant selling his business, moving to another state, and starting over. As long as he had Marco and the children with him, Edgar would sacrifice everything.

"How was your day," he asked as he entered the kitchen area. The space was a bit smaller than their last home, but Edgar didn't much mind it. It wasn't the space that counted; it was all of the things that made this place a home, like the framed family photos they'd begun to hang just a few days before. "If it was nearly as long as mine, I'd say let's skip home cooked dinner tonight and just order in." As he came to a stop near Marco, Edgar brushed his lips against his husband's temple, taking a moment to simply enjoy the simple pleasure of being able to touch Marco in the most casual of ways again. "We could put the kids down early and maybe read a book together. Have a glass of wine. Just talk?"

she's  got  a  tote  hanging  from  the  crook  of  one  elbow,  her  other  elbow  entwined  with  veronica's.  navigating  the  busy  walkway  with  a  bit  difficult,  seeing  how  they  were  linked  together,  but  she  was  happy  to  follow  veronica's  lead.  “see  any  stalls  that  are  calling  your  name  ?”

atlas  is  following  marco  around  the  kitchen,  which  isn't  anything  new  for  the  pair.  his  brother  is  taking  a  second  to  think,  so  he's  not  exactly  sure  what  he's  walking  around  searching  for  (  was  he  even  searching  for  anything  ?  ).  “do  you  want  me  to,  like,  do  something  ?”

major  claps  his  hands  before  rubbing  them  together,  looking  to  his  left  (  at  julian  )  and  to  his  right  (  at  kendrick  ).  “alright  FUCKERS,”  he  begins,  eyeing  the  table  in  front  of  them.  “who's  ready  to  make  some  candy  ?”  he'd  be  lying  if  he  said  he  hadn't  been  looking  forward  to  this  class.  mostly  because  it  was  the  opportunity  to  make  (  and  eat  )  a  bunch  of  candy.  “although,  there's  not  as  much  chocolate  on  the  table  as  i  thought  there'd  be…  what's  that  all  about  ?”

reuniting  with  veronica  had  eased  winona  in  a  way  she  hadn't  thought  possible.  while  they  were  still  in  the  baby  steps  of  rekindling  their  friendship,  they  were  definitely  in  a  better  place  than  they  were  when  they  first  spotted  each  other  at  the  beach.  well,  maybe  BETTER  wasn't  the  correct  word,  seeing  how  they  were  both  barely  getting  by  on  their  ice  skates.  it  was  like  clockwork,  almost.  they'd  both  have  a  good  rhythm  going,  and  then  one  would  start  to  slip  and  need  assistance.  winnie  felt  good  about  the  fact  that  she  wasn't  the  only  one  struggling.  “should  we  have  chosen  something  easier  ?”
