The Orion and Running Man Nebulae !
Integrated photo of M42 (The Orion Nebula) and Sh 2-279 (The Running Man Nebula).
Approximately 1300 light years away, the Orion Nebula is the closest major star forming region to our solar system, with the stellar nursery being seen within the turbulent gas formations.
The Running Man Nebula, approximately 1500 light years away, is a bright reflection nebula, with the dark and dense surrounding nebulosity reflecting the light from the bright young central star.
It is well known due to its resemblance to an individual running (or dancing/fencing; it truly is up for debate).
