Sounding like a mixture of Schoolboy Q and Jay Prince, this Washington DC rapper has collaborated with the likes of Astro Zu and Bearcubs - just to name a few. His rap flow paces between smooth cuts to sharp vocal stabs, complimenting each and every producer he's worked with and has just been featured on Annie Mac.

London's Astro Zu recently teamed up with Pin Tweaks on a soulful, captivating track named Ghost Town. The poignant song has the sparse atmosphere of The xx, the swirling electro R&B qualities of Movement, and the haunting minimalist quality of James Blake. Mesmerized by the vocals, I looked further into Pin Tweaks, to find they released a great song, Girl On The Wire, a few short months prior. Check out that trip hop imbued, dark, and heavy electronic treat below. Pin Tweaks has been recording at Mute Records studio with the hopes of releasing an EP next year.

As seemingly everybody that owns a computer is a producer these days, we understand that it can be a little daunting exploring new artists. Luckily, here at Data Transmission, we are on an endless mission to sort the wheat from the chaff and bring you the most exciting new acts that you really do need to hear. One such man, who has made rather a lot of noise in his debut year, is Astro Zu. This young Londoner popped out a handful EPs on Bad Life in 2014 to much critical acclaim; his blend of R&B, hip hop and soulful soundscapes standing out from the pack. Despite being locked away in the studio working on his debut LP (due out early 2015), Astro managed to put together an exclusive mix for us to show off his inventive and intriguing sound. A match made in musical heaven with brilliant beat maker from the future Astro Zu (listen to Space Wizard- its beautiful) gets a little help from dynamic duo Pin Tweaks (who had a class tune a few months back with Girl on A Wire) with transcendent track Ghost Town full of nuanced melodies and some deliriously awesome vocals.
