Birthday of watchmaker and astromechanic Jens Olsen (July 27, 1872 - 1945) who is famous for constructing an amazing world clock that can be viewed inside the Copenhagen City Hall. Olsen died before the clock could be finished, but it was completed in 1955, and has shown accurate time ever since - at least in the periods where the clock was wound on a weekly basis.

The clock shows time, moon phases, meridian passages, planetary distances, and a full Gregorian calendar (including future holidays), and many many other features. The fastest cog in the mechanism which was all built by hand has a ten second revolution; the slowest cog revolves once every 25.753 years.

The clock is well-known in Danish culture and at least two pop songs make reference to it.

A thing you like about their character: i like how you capture raven's softness without taking away from how fierce she is. you are able to bring out her other sides but still keep to the tortured and strong willed girl too.

     there was so much fog it was nearly impossible             to see && the faint moonlight wasn't helping at             all. fluttering birds rustling the trees only             heightened the unease of the entire situation.

                       they were LOST to say the least &&                        separated from the others because of                        the unavailability of easy sight.
