these days I JUST DON'T EVER WANNA HEAR IT like I really like Stephanie but it got to the point that lol I had to blacklist her because I refuse to let her fandom ruin her for me? And this is not even just a CASS thing (though that's mostly it to be honest, because I can't deal with how Stephanie stans talk about Cass) but I honestly can't even escape her when I check my Helena Bertinelli and Kate Kane tags and I just. :| come onnnn.

and then I checked out their blog and they had listed Bette Kane as their least favourite character and they gave what I'm sure they thought was a very thorough explanation except that it all boiled down to disliking her because she had sex with Dick. And ofc they also laughed at her superhero name in the comics and eventually made it all about Dick/Babs because... I don't know why, really. :|

OMG YEAH I got so upset when Conner told Wendy that no one else told him Happy Birthday or anything!!! They could have just texted him. It would have only taken literally five seconds! I love these kids but dang they are the worst friends!!!!

I'd have expected for at least MAL to remember since they went to school together and it looks like they're pretty close friends, but nope. I'm really kind of stupidly pleased that it seems like he's going to college, though, and that he has something close to a FRIEND there, too.

Both Babs and Tim seem to be getting lost in the shuffle, which is really surprising considering that they’re two of the more popular Bat characters. ALSO OMG YES I feel the same way w/ the bridal shower thing.

I adored the moment and I loved to see all of the women being friends with each other (even though it was REALLY short) but it really felt more like a pat on the head than anything…

yup! IN A WAY I FIND IT SUPER REFRESHING because wow, for once a character like Jaime Reyes is getting more focus than Robin and Batgirl and honestly after his MY NAME IS TIM WAYNE episode lol I don't care much about Tim beyond laughing at his misfortunes or when he's with Cassandra Cain and Tam Fox, but at the same time I feel like they could've handled everything better. Season 1 had a pretty big cast, too, and even Captain Marvel, who wasn't even part of the team got a backstory and a few episodes of his own. Granted, this season isn't over and there are 12 episodes left to go, but I feel like at this point we already know the tone of this series so I find it a little hard to believe that things are going to change. I'd love to be proven wrong, though!

I ALSO HOPE FOR A CONNER/JAIME/BART/TIM/ORIGINAL ROY FRIENDSHIP BECAUSE WOW ALL HIS OTHER FRIENDS ARE PRETTY SHITTY.

Same! I saw the appeal of comics Dick/Babs but I’ve never been able to get invested?? And I REALLY don’t like how the fandom keeps reducing her to her ~relationship with Dick, although lbr, the show isn’t giving us a lot to work with regarding Babs.

here's the thing for meeee, Dick Grayson is such a polarizing character in the show (and in the comics, too, obv but that's not really the issue here) that having Barbara date him would reduce her to a love interest and nothing more? which is, I think, a disservice to her. I mean I can ship him with Artemis because Artemis has been a well-rounded character from season 1 who, ignoring the Wally mess, had a really good character arc of her own. But yeah, with characters that are already constantly ignored it's like, eh. 

I'm actually really surprised of how little we've seen of Barbara so far, given that a-) she's a Batman protegee and b-) how much DC loves her. I normally wouldn't complain because sigh Barbara Gordon exhaustion over here but it's uh a little bit WEIRD (to say the least) that she's probably the one member of the team who has had barely ANY LINES this season. I know she was part of that all girls team with M'gann, Karen and Cassie, but lbr other than flying that plane and sassing Dick, she didn't really get to do anything. 

Bart, on the other hand, already has had interactions with like at least 1/4 of the team, and had an entire episode dedicated to him. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I love Bart but like, Barbara has been around since season 1, technically, but we don't really know ANYTHING about her other than she's Batgirl, apparently friends with Dick, and that out of all the Batfam she's the only one who's revealed her secret ID to the team.

That’s actually one of my biggest problems with Invasion. We don’t really get to see much of the women outside of their relationships with men!

y e s. honestly I didn't mind the time skip as much as everyone else did, but the one thing I will never not be mad about how Greg Weisman has all but admitted that Rocket was little more than a plot device in season 1. It's really infuriating? Like I'm glad she's part of the JL now but :| now she's GETTING MARRIED and we're just supposed to take this, I GUESS. And I really loved that scene they had in today's episode of all the girls together but idk it just felt to me like they were just throwing us a bone and hoping for us to shut up.

I mean I never shipped it in the comics and I guess that I can understand why the people who DO ship it would like it to be canon in the show, too, but like--

wow, there is really no evidence in the show that there's anything beyond friendship between the two of them and I mean there's nothing wrong with shipping it even if there ISN'T because HEY to each their own? but way to make every single YJ!Barbara post about Dick and Barbara and Dick as a potential couple. It's like they don't think there's any value to Barbara's character other than dating Dick Grayson.
