Day 7: If your chart was a character in a novel how would you describe them?

Round almond shaped eyes with a murmur of emotion- ocean waves lapping against the seashore of her lids, glistening like tears under a full moon. Silver, shoulder length hair with a natural perm. Slim shoulders, long arms and fingers. Fast legs, weak lungs. Dexterous, nervous and fidgety. A bit shy. Interested in natural crafts: gardening, potion making, the ancient occult. An empath who can speak with animals. Can sense energies in meats and avoids eating them. Highly sensitive. Cares for trees and garden plants. Loves flowers. Gifted with writing, music and languages. Enjoys learning about other cultures and distant lands. Longs for travel but fears to venture far alone. Writes poems and speaks to ancestors through journaling, automatic writing. Pangs of loneliness strike during thunderstorm nights. Emotionally guarded, apprehensive of partnership, but longs deeply for love. Searching for a forgotten home. Lost in a dream world.

Day 6: List off the placements you see most evidently in the charts of people close to you and how

Family and friends-

Pisces moon- Empathetic, emotional individuals who can understand my feelings, or are considerate enough to try and understand when they don’t automatically. 

Moon trine Pluto- Seen hard times and can console those who have been through hard times. Doesn’t judge or when I open up, very strong, emotionally speaking. Highly intuitive, and instinctual, creative in expression of empathy. 

Leo Venus- Can be selfish, overbearing, and domineering but are protective, generous and loyal. Burying my Cancer venus face in their chest is the most comforting feeling in this world.

Day 5: How do the people close to you feel about your interest in astrology?

Most people don’t know my interest in astrology. I avoid talking about it, a lot of people find it taboo or laughable given the weight science holds to myself and those around me.  Astrology is a lot more complex than people give credit, and unfortunately the people who dislike it don’t know enough to make a final judgment. I find it sad that science minded people who look up to brilliant minds, refuse to use an open mind to creatively achieve in the field and reject something like astrology so strongly. Black and white thinking has never gone well with my airy personality. 

Close friends find it interesting and let me talk about it freely :) I try not to trouble them too much with my musings though as it can get confusing and I worry about boring them. Sometimes I daydream about a group of astrologer friends that gather to discuss findings and study together.

Day 4: If you could give your chart themes, what would they be? do you have a quote that you think matches those themes?

Desire to escape // 12th house Sun - “She never felt like she belonged anywhere, except for when she was lying on her bed, pretending to be somewhere else.” Rainbow Rowell, Eleanor & Park Lesson: The heart will become bitter, spirit tortured, and motivations wilted when feeding on fantasies and avoiding life.

Partnership, True love // North Node in the 7th house - “There is no shame in being hungry for another person. There is no shame in wanting very much to share your life with somebody.” Augusten Burroughs, Dry Lesson: Through partnership and cooperation with others, we can attain the inner balance necessary to achieve our goals.

Embracing vulnerability, Letting go // Saturn in the 8th house -  “It’s easy to take off your clothes and have sex. People do it all the time. But opening up your soul to someone, letting them into your spirit, thoughts, fears, future, hopes, dreams… that is being naked.” Rob Bell Lesson: Emotional and sexual vulnerability is liberating; enlightenment is achieved through release, and merging with others.

Day 3: What placements do you feel are your 'silver-lining'?

Moon in Aquarius in the 8th house -- Psychic-like intuition; It may be the 12th/8th house points in my chart but if astrology is related, my claircognizance is likely rooted here. Empathetic toward the needs of humanity, epiphanic moments of pre-natural knowledge, intense psychic abilities, harboring the collective consciousness of ancestors and feeling intense karmic bonds in relationships with others. Clear visions of life death and all things hidden are amplified by 8th house/pluto aspects in my chart.  

Pisces Midheaven - Creativity, living in a dreamworld, a need to help others, spiritual connection to the universe and groups of people. Combined with my Aquarius moon and aspects to Neptune/Jupiter I feel like spiritual or social leadership (numerology- but also Life path 1) is a path I will end up creating for myself in this life. With Mercury in the 11th using creativity or my voice to spread humanitarian views to a collective and fighting for justice is something I can clearly vision myself pursuing.

Mercury sextile Venus - Alludes to talent in writing, singing, communications. Poetic expression or voice- I think mercury in Taurus makes this aspect rich with creativity and gives me a hearty appreciation for beauty in expression. Many famous writers have this placement: Emily Dickinson, T.S. Elliot, Scott Fitzgerald, Sylvia Plath, etc. I feel lucky to be gifted with this one. :)

Day 1: What do you feel you gain most from astrology?

When first understanding the general concepts in astrology I learned a lot about my strengths, things about my personality I was proud of, talents that shined and the quirky parts of myself that others found charming. 

Learning more I began to grasp my weaknesses, things lacking, areas I was over abundant in. As I read more I grasped these concepts and learned to own it and work on them slowly; strengthen my weaknesses and fill in the missing holes. I found the things I was missing (confidence, a care free attitude) and adopted them in order to make room for letting go of the things I had too much of (jealousy, stress). 

As I learn more about astrology, aspects, positions, synastry, and analyze my own chart, my past experiences, my friendships and the experiences we’ve shared and how they affected me- I learn things about myself that never took the light. Like talking to a friend with knowledge of universal truths, they teach and guide me with wisdom unobtainable from the eye of the storm. Astrology has opened windows and doors for finding myself and guiding me through this life.
