Ferris on the Field
Hello fans of SWFC.
Because of the disgusting wind, we are not going to be showing Ferris Bueller's Day Off on Johnson Field BUT we will still be showing the film FOR FREE at the theater here in the SUB!
We'll have free popcorn as well.

To all those who didn't, I hope you also got sleep! I'm sure after hearing about the tear you suddenly weren't so sad you didn't get involved.
This week we are showing Wadjda. Directed by Haifaa al-Mansour, this is the first film to be shot completely in Saudi Arabia; and by a woman no less! Such an amazing accomplishment and we're so glad to have the opportunity to show this film.

Oscars
Can you believe the Oscars are almost here? (I can. It feels pretty late...) I'll certainly be tuning in to see what incredible film takes Best Picture! I'm also excited for the Best Actress category after seeing Cate Blanchett's terrifyingly realistic performance in Blue Jasmine or Sandra Bullock's actually terrifying performance in Gravity.
Here at the SWFC we're happy to bring some of these Oscar nominees to campus! Up for Best Documentary Feature is Cutie and the Boxer and we'll be showing it in just two weekends. Then we'll be showing 12 Years on the actual Oscar weekend and Nebraska in April. We're so excited for this semester and all of the fun (and thought-provoking) films we will be playing!
Happening tonight until Sunday. It's going to be a film to think about...
