The Mosquito Gang: Choose Your Side in Battle
The Mosquito Gang asymmetric multiplayer game aims at Steam Deck and Linux with Windows PC. Thanks to the creative minds at Space Raccoon Game Studio for bringing this wild idea to life. Due to make its way onto Steam Early Access soon. Alright, it’s time to pick a side in the ultimate backyard war: human vs mosquito. Indie devs Space Raccoon Game Studio are releasing their wild new asymmetric multiplayer title, The Mosquito Gang, on May 20th, 2025. Due to be a bloody good time (literally). And a native port is already in the plan.
In fact, we will 100% publish the game with native Linux support. Right now we are already actively testing the game on Steam Deck.
Just got a reply from Space Raccoon — they’re building The Mosquito Gang using Unreal Engine 5. Even better, they’re fully committed to creating a native Linux build, and testing is already underway for Steam Deck support. Things are looking epic. The Mosquito Gang throws 2 to 5 players into a chaotic showdown where one poor human has to protect their precious blood while up to four sneaky mosquitoes try to drain it dry. It’s tense, it’s ridiculous, and it’s a total blast. Here’s the deal: If you’re playing as the human, your job is to survive. Run around completing tasks to earn cash and upgrade your defenses — think bug zappers, fly swatters, even flamethrowers. You might be helping a scientist create the ultimate mosquito repellent in one level or just trying to take the trash out without getting drained in another. Either way, it’s gonna be intense.

Now, if you’re one of the bloodsuckers? Oh man, get ready to live your best mosquito life. You’ll dive into a mosquito brain and play quick-time events to slurp up that sweet red nectar. Then use what you collect to unlock wild roguelite powers or save up for access to the legendary blood bank — the last stronghold keeping your species alive. One wrong move, and it’s game over. Get swatted, sprayed, or zapped into oblivion. So yeah, it gets personal. The Mosquito Gang is already pulling hype with over 100,000 wishlists and a bunch of successful playtests.
