I have two slightly unrelated questions. My blades squeak sometimes on the ice, what does that mean? And how do I know what hollow to get on my blades when I get them sharpened? (I just started synchronized skating if that helps)

From asyn, my on-call synchro skater: Your blades could be loose or not mounted correctly. You might want to have them checked out at the skate shop when you get them sharpened. For synchro, the hollow shouldn’t be too deep, but if you let the shop know what your level is and they look at your blades, they should be able to determine the best hollow for you.

IMO the wiki article on fs jumps should be changed from "men in world-class competition usually attempt a full set of triples and sometimes one or two quadruple jumps" to "men in world-class competition usually attempt a full set of quadruple jumps and sometimes one or two triple jumps" with a footnote to Nathan Chen

Well, he was already wearing these purple velvet pants for his short program (bc ‘Ladies in LAVENDER’)but WHY TF DID HE EVEN DECIDE TO CHANGE HIS FS COSTUME??? I’m still screaming about this but I’m more worried about 4Lo (!!!!!!). I talked about it since post Rostelecom Cup/pre GPF and when I saw the gala live for Nats, I knew I was doomed.
