Hey! Can you do a kuroo x reader with the keyword "hoodie" for the mini game? Btw I just found your blog and your writing!! is so good!!
thank you for sending this in! and thank you so much for enjoying my works anon! i hope this doesn’t disappoint :)
kuroo tetsurou is attracted to you. very.
not that you would know, since you could practically count your interactions with him on your fingers.
first, in the first semester, sometime in may, when a volleyball came so close to smacking your face off.
second, during summer break, when you were at the pool with your friends and he was at the pool with his friends and he picked up your friend’s goggles and handed them over to you.
third, in the second semester, when he saw you struggling with five melona popsicles in hand, and asked what you were doing.
fourth, on his birthday, when you saw him walking out with cake frosting all over his face, and wished him a happy birthday.
this would make your fifth interaction with the rooster-haired, six-foot tall, third year volleyball captain, on a strikingly cold february lunchtime, as he catches you outside buying drinks from the vending machine without a blazer or a sweater.
“y/n? you trying to freeze out here?”
you look to the left from where he’s coming, bending down to get the drinks at the same time. the cans of coffee are warm enough to act like heating pads in your hands. you stay where you are, feet doing mini jogging motions to keep yourself warm and moving.
“mizuki-chan’s borrowing my blazer right now, so,” you inhale through your teeth, fogs of air coming out of your mouth as you speak.
“you don’t even wear a sweater underneath your blazer?” he comes beside you, cocking his head to the right, telling you to come with him. you come along, swiftly, watching his hands shove themselves into his blazer pockets as he breathes sharply, his jaw tightening and relaxing.
“i didn’t bring a sweater today.” you reply briefly, trying to keep up with the boy’s faster walking pace.
“i’ll get you my hoodie, then.”
your eyes perk up at his statement, wondering what stroke of luck had made him feel so generous today.
“you sure?”
“if i wasn’t sure, then why would i offer you my hoodie?”
he begins to walk even faster as you two approach building b, where the third year classrooms are.
“how do you walk so fast?” you breathe, feeling the cold stiffen up your limbs, “kuroo-san, wait-”
he stops in his tracks right before the door of the building.
he tells you, “c’mon, i’ll wait.”
kuroo leads you to his classroom, where you’d encounter many ‘hey!’s ‘yo!’s and ‘was good!’s followed by sneaky looks at you and kuroo coupled with a giggle or a smirk.
he goes to his bag, with you following close by. you stir and he reaches into the seemingly endless duffle bag, searching solely by touch through what you presume was one hell of a mess of papers and other miscellaneous things inside, before stopping his arm at a certain corner of the duffle bag. bingo.
he pulls it out carefully, a slight embarrassment on his face once he realises his hoodie’s not folded the way he might have wanted it to be when giving it to you, but he wouldn’t want you to wait any longer.
he hands you the bundle of fabric, large and thick and a mild grey.
“it doesn’t smell. i hope.”
you narrow your eyes at him playfully, taking the hoodie in your arms. he nods, and you give him the coffee cans to hold as you slip the hoodie on, watching as it falls towards your thighs and bunches up around your wrists.
“it doesn’t smell, don’t worry.” you smile, “it’s really comfortable, actually.”
as friendly chatter fills the space between you and kuroo, you realise that this is the first real conversation you’ve had with him that’s lasted over thirty seconds. he’s handsome, you think, even with that inherently messy hair of his. you begin to wonder if he’s really as good at volleyball as everyone says he is.
he tells you he’ll hold onto the coffee cans as he walks you to your classroom on the other side of the hall, and you slip the sleeves of his hoodie past your arms, unknowingly giving him the hardest time trying not to coo at how cute you look.
he hopes he can ask you out one day.
so he tries to act ‘cool’ or whatever everyone says ‘cool’ is, like holding your things for you (the coffee cans work really well as heating pads, now that he thinks about it) and lending things for you (for both pure and impure reasons). what else is he supposed to do? sweet talk you into oblivion? trap you in between his arms? latch onto you every time you’re in his line of sight? he’s sure all three fall into harassment.
and how come an ass like daishou gets a girlfriend? kuroo tries not to fall into that train of thought.
“kuroo-san?” you call. he’s fallen silent.
“oh, do you need- coff- yeah, the-”
you nod, holding out your hands through his hoodie. he can’t help the look of endearment on his face as your fingers, peeking out through the sleeves of his very own hoodie, brush against his, though the lack of warmth in his hands feels a bit odd already.
you’re about to open your mouth when the bell for sixth period rings, prompting kuroo to go back into his class. you glance down, “um, i’ll return this to-”
“you can keep it overnight - if you want, of course,” kuroo cringes at his words, but smiles anyways, “you can ask for it anytime.”
you frown, “you sure?”
“yeah. it looks good on you.” he cringes once more, taking in the subtle surprise on your face, “it also saves space in my bag anyways.”
you chuckle, “i’ll bring it back to you tomorrow morning, then?”
“that would be good.”
he hesitates before dashing down to his class, stealing a few glances at you that you were glad you didn’t miss.
fifth interaction. first real conversation. first time he made your heart flutter.
you find that you might be attracted to kuroo tetsuroo. very.
