Dappletail and Rosetail were young warriors together under Sunstar, and very close friends. Despite both being interested in the other, the two stayed friends for a very long time, mostly due to them both busy dealing with their own interpersonal issues. Eventually, when things settled down, the two finally settled into mateship, which absolutely everyone saw coming. The mates were surprised at how soon they had kits, as Featherwhisker had told them it was unlikely this late. They had Redkit and Spottedkit, who both inherited Rosetail's full red tail gene mutation, as well as a deaf white kit who died before they were ever named. The twins quickly became Dappletail and Rosetail's pride, as the accheived high status as the clan's healer and deputy. Unfortunately, Dappletail lost her mate and both kits because of Brokenstar and Tigerstar, although her only grandkit Sandstorm did survive. Now, Dappletail is happily settled in the elder's den, happy to entertain her great grandkits, as Leafpaw reminds her of Spottedleaf, and Squirrelpaw looks a lot like Redtail.
