What the TLK characters eat for breakfast (modern AU):
Alfred: gruel we know this. But probably unsweetened muesli or plain overnight oats
Aethelflaed: overnight oats with honey, berries and seeds. Oat milk latte too
Mildrith: cornflakes with cow’s milk (no sugar)
Uhtred: the pussy of a doomed woman. Bacon sandwich also
Aethelwold: hair of the dog and leftovers from a takeaway kebab
Aldhelm: porridge with a pinch of salt
Sihtric: 3 raw eggs straight down the gullet (sorry he seems like the type)
Finan: whatever is going, and if he has to make it himself, he’ll skip and have a big lunch to compensate
Steapa: biiig bowl of shreddies. Just a huge bowl of shreddies. Every day no change
Hild: the tears of a misogynist on toast. Or honey on there for a treat and she says a little prayer of thanks
Haesten: fry up with black pudding and he eats it a la that tomato scene in Lord of the Rings
Aelswith: gruel in solidarity with Alfred, but she sometimes treats herself to an almond pastry in secret
Iseult: honestly who knows. She’s always away doing weird shit with foraged animal bones before late morning
Aethelred: anything as long as he gets to demand it and then complain about it once it’s made
Aelfwynn: deffo never seen in the morning without one of those iced matcha lattes and also a Stanley cup (she’s late for her presentation)
