If you love photography, it's for sure that you know Galerie Le Château D’Eau It's located in Touluse, a four-hour drive from Barcelona (our home) and from the beginning of our career it has been one of the main references to discover and enjoy new and established photographers. We own more than 40 of their catalogues from different exhibitions they have organized during all these years. It's a huge honour to see our prints hanging there. We would like to thank to Galerie Le Château d’Eau and Atelier EXB for showing our work in such a mythical place in the current exhibition "Des oiseaux" If you have the opportunity please do not miss it, not because we are there but to enjoy the work of the other great photographers that are also in the show: #ByungHunMin #GracielaIturbide #LeilaJeffreys #RinkoKawauchi #MichaelKenna #ChristopheMaout #YoshinoriMizutani #PaoloPellegrin #BernardPlossu #PenttiSammallahti #TerriWeifenbach

“I consider my studio as a kitchen garden. Here, there are artichokes. There, potatoes. Leaves must be cut so that the fruit can grow. At the right moment, I must prune. I work like a gardener… Things come slowly… Things follow their natural course. They grow, they ripen. I must graft. I must water… Ripening goes on in my mind. So I’m always working at a great many things at the same time.” -Joan Miró . As photographers, we have been patienly working for a long time granting things the time they need, working slowly but surely, and steadily overcoming errors and failures. In spite of all this, the path has always been rewarding and lots of good things have happened to us. As we have already told Atelier EXB, we are honoured to read our names in connection to a publishing house that we have admired for such a long time. It's exciting to see our book “Des Oiseaux” in our photo-book library close to all the books that we have been collecting from them for years. . And of course, we would also like to thank Editorial RM for trusting the project this much and producing the Spanish edition of the book: "Pájaros". Muchas gracias! 😉🤗 . Looking forward to seeing in the flesh our first publication with Atelier EXB to be released this October! . Albarrán Cabrera, Des oiseaux . "In 1959, Joan Miró referred to his fascination with immobility as an expression of the idea of infinity. The painter was deeply interested in infinite space and how to represent endless movement with minimal and finite elements on the canvas. Following his lead, some of our bird images are merely dots, shadows or metaphors which represent the concept of a bird more vividly than the straightforward image of a genuine fowl would. In our work, the interpretation of our images is entrusted to the memories of the viewer. Each print encodes a set of personal experiences revolving around the depicted subject, but the final meaning will depend on the viewer’s experiences." -Albarrán Cabrera . "The Spanish duo Angel Albarrán and Anna Cabrera has worked on new photographs specially for this book combined with previous series taking us on a dreamlike journey in the land of birds. Between reality and illusion, the image interrogates our relationship to the tangible world and creates a delicate vibration through diverse color tones and photographic processes: cyanotypes, platinum, palladium, pigment and silver prints..." -Atelier EXB .
