Forgot to talk about this a while ago but I heard Avatar 3 will have another na’vi tribe as the main villain instead of humans. Nice to see some change. However I’m thinking about how they’ll portray a bad na’vi tribe. I hope they don’t make the message of the movie be atheophobic like “they are evil because they have no faith in Eywa” and “if you have no faith or spirituality you will become morally corrupt”

I cannot describe how much I hate “smug reddit atheist cringe” jokes.

People will literally say the shittiest things about a group of people you belong to, to your face, and then be like “oh I didn’t mean you, I was talking about the bad atheists,” and then be confused when you’re still mad at them.

It’s especially common in more liberal/progressive circles, which honestly just kind of feels like a betrayal sometimes.

People will act like they’re the most accepting and tolerant people on the planet, and then only bring up atheists in order to make fun of the extremist minority. I have literally had people respond to me telling them I was atheist by making one of these jokes. In real life.
