Secret Cherries #2: SM & JYP R Card Level Up

R cards cost a (cherry) bomb to upgrade so here are some info and tips to help you optimize your spendings!

How to use the table:

The cost to level up R cards can be segmented into bands (refer to the first row of the table). The cost of using a C card and B card can be found in the next two rows. While B cards will always cost more than C cards (around 16% more), the percentage cost increase for the two kinds of card shows you which is more “cost minimized”. The lower the percentage, the more optimized. (Refer to the green numbers)

Tip #01: Use C cards for R1-30. The success rate is decent (usually 1 in every 2 or 3 C cards).

Tip #02: Use B cards for R31 onwards as C cards are not worth the success rate nor cost anymore (more green numbers under B cards). Do note that R41-50 and R71-80 are the more expensive bands (red numbers) so you can consider using 30%/50%/70% success upgrade cards in these bands.

Tip #03: Spam upgrade your R31-90 cards during 50% weekend bonus!! 

Tip #04: Use 100% success cards obtained from big events (or spend 2500 Dalcom Coins to buy them) to upgrade your R cards in the R91-99. The 11,608RP is a hefty blow to your pocket. TT

TOP CHERRY JAMS SM Ver.

Have you ever wondered which songs will get you the highest scores in the league so you can trash out your other opponents? Well, we tried to do a compilation of the best songs per group that would clock in the highest number of SUPER PERFECTS and hence, the highest score. It’s not exhaustive because we haven’t tried out all the groups yet (our WayV is still at Grade A. We will work harder.) but we will try our best to update the rest as soon as possible! 

BoA - Only One & Atlantis Princess

Surprise, surprise! Yes, BoA was one of the original 5 fighters but too bad, she’s not my favourite. Anyways, Only One is easier than Atlantis Princess by miles and is one of the easiest songs in the game to hit ALL SUPER PERFECTS. In fact, Only One was the first song that Peace scored all super perfects! Atlantis Princess, on the other hand, is slightly faster in speed but can be conquered if you don’t panic and spam tap the long beats early. 

TVXQ! - Love Line & Mirotic 

Love Line is slower in pace and is more forgiving in beat accuracy due to the easier and slower rhythm than Mirotic. Mirotic, however, may be better for those who aren’t confident in their accuracy for individual/pair/rolling blue beats and prefer long yellow beats that are less stressful on the finger stamina. Mirotic is full of those because of Yunho’s adlibs or as Patience likes to say, then woah-oooo-woah-oh-ohhhhh beats. What the heck right. 

SHINee - Dream Girl & I Want You

Dream Girl is super super amazing if you want a disgustingly high score. The song is short, the beat is quite easy to catch and if you just follow the music, you’ll be able to hit all the super perfects. 

But here’s the catch... it’s extremely rotation-based. And when you have a team with a wide level spectrum like us (Jonghyun being 90 and Key being... well, 32), you will find yourself praying everytime you start the game so you can get a decent rotation. 

But if your team is very evenly distributed, then Dream Girl is really good! Though, tell me, which team can be evenly distributed right... AHEM all you bias people. 

Anyways, here’s the tip on the rotation to get the highest score:

Position 2 - Highest Card

Position 3 - 2nd highest card 

Position 1 - 3rd highest card 

Position 5 - 4th highest card

Position 4 - Lowest card 

So ya, if you get this rotation, PLAY PROPERLY!!! Chances are, today is your day to make a new high score!!!

I Want You won’t get you the same results as Dream Girl, but it is not so bad if you have decent accuracy. (and if you give up on the stupid rotation)

Secret Cherries #1: Pledis & Starship

Pledis & Starship Version cause it is different from JYP & SM!!

This is daylight robbery!! TT Sobs it is two to three times more expensive than the two older interfaces. We are broke just trying to level up our precious cherries. AND THE FAILURE RATE IS HIGHER TOO!

10/10 not worth, just quit. 

Just kidding! Don’t give up just yet! Here are some tips to make your journey less painful.

Unlike the other interface, it is honestly almost impossible to not spend more than you earn, since level up is slow -> low team cards -> little rp each song play -> cannot go into higher leagues -> need to level up -> expensive to level up -> level up is slow (and the vicious cycle repeats).

Adopt these instead:

Tip #1: Aim to make 5 teams of same theme full R. Use diamonds to get Premium packs to save RP costs. (You should consume diamonds to build a solid team in the early stage) This should get you to a stable place in Silver III or Gold I which has a 50-60% bonus each play. 

Tip #2: Complete daily missions diligently.

Tip #3: Try not to fall below 500,000 RP in the games. If you really need to get RP in a short time, consider using diamonds to buy RP.

Tip #4: Use huge events (like the festival or premium boxes) to get loads of RP and card packs daily (conserve them and spread out over the the 6days claim limit).

Tip #5: Upgrade A/S cards and Power Up R cards when there is the 50% off weekend bonus.

We wish you all the best in this game. Hopefully you won’t be too turned off by the 200% hyperinflation in Pledis and Starship’s economy. :)

Secret Cherries #0: SM & JYP

Well this isn’t really a secret but more of a compilation for easy reference. This chart is for C to S cards.

Tip #1: DO NOT SPEND MORE THAN YOU EARN! If there is only one rule to live by for this game, or in life, this is it.

Tip #2: Use only C cards as your feeder cards. It is not worth it to use any other kind of cards since the success rates for C-S cards are fairly high.

Tip #3: Sell your cards to gain RP. This is especially useful if you are in the lower tiers (the lower the tier the lesser the bonus, so each play earns you very little). If you are a relatively new player with low level R cards, you can sell away B-S cards that you don’t need. If you have been playing for ages and have seen multiple anniversary events like us, HEH, sell the A and S cards.

Tip #4: Upgrade is 100% success rate, so you should upgrade them when there is the 50% off upgrade weekend bonus. Alternatively, if you are in no rush to upgrade to R, you can wait for events that require getting R cards and upgrade it then to get good rewards.

Tip #5: If your power up fails for like 3 times in a row, just stop upgrading at that hour and try again at another time. Likely, the algorithm at that moment ain’t in your favour. PLEASE DON’T USE BRUTE FORCE AND ATTEMPT TO OUTSPEND THE SYSTEM. You can’t.

(Unless you’re spending it on Kai, then just try 1 card. It’s not worth it.) 

Some of you might be wondering why the cost for each card is 1000RP. Basically a 5-card pack is 5000RP (5000/5=1000), 10-card pack is 10000RP (10000/10=1000), 30-card pack is 30000RP (30000/30=1000).
