I wish you all, my friends, that 2023 will be a year of resilience, full of achievements, Cacique Piratan kariri-Xocó. I am counting on you for this great action, for the collection of food, a battery to obtain sunlight through the plate, for the Kariri-Xocó village in Alagoas, Porto Real do Colégio, which will meet this month, on 01/20/2023, to realization of Ouricuri. The ritual that lasts 15 days inside the forest, which will impact the livelihood of some families. The Ouricuri is an important cultural manifestation of the original peoples. The ritual has a religious foundation and its main characteristic is the moment of prayer, the prayer for the well-being of all, this recollection, the exchange of knowledge between elders and with the new indigenous generations. Cacique Piratan is president of the Kariri-Xocó Association (MKX).
