Hi thank you again for writing another Ives x female virgin reader. I loved it! Can you please write more - like they’re good to go back to their “original home” and they’re in full honeymoon phase all the time 🔥 😈 💦 a funny idea is Neil comes to their apartment to check in on them and walks in on them sleeping after sex. The bedroom is a literal hurricane. That would be so funny.
So sorry for the wait, but here's a part three. Enjoy x
Safe With You (part 3)
Ives x f!reader
Theme: husband/wife act (explicit)
Warnings: making out, implied sex.
Word count: 643
Three weeks of hiding. Pretending to be husband and wife to not stir up any suspiscions. Ives finally felt safe enough to return back home. So you did. Together. Ever since the tension between you had snapped, neither of you had been able to go back to how things were before. Not with the way he looked at you now, like he couldn't help himself. His hands always found a place on your body. Always touching, puling you close. It was part of the cover at first. But nothing about his touches were pretense anymore.
Back in his apartment, his dufflebag lands beside the front door with a heavy thud. Warm hands roam your back, pulling you into a hungry kiss. Then his foot nudges his apartment door shut behind you. The lock clicks into place. He guides you backward with determined steps, never breaking contact as his lips slant over yours with a feverish desire. Greedy fingers slide underneath your shirt, pulling it over your head without hesitation. Before you can respond, he hoists you up by the backs of your thighs and struts toward his bedroom. The moment he reaches the edge of his bed, he drops you unceremoniously onto the fresh linnen sheets. "Got you all to m'self now." His voice came out rough and low, thick with affection and something far less innocent. Then he's on you again, kissing you like he's starved. Hands tug at clothes, fabric flies across the room, knocking over a lamp on the nightstand. He shimmies off his pants, now standing in front of the bed in nothing but his boxers with tented fabric. In a fluid motion, you get up too, cupping his face before crashing your lips back on his as if he's oxygen. He stumbles backward under the force of it, letting out a breathless chuckle. A chair knocks over somewhere behind him, neither of you caring about the unfolding chaos. One second, he's got you pinned against the wall, the next, the script is flipped when you pin him back just as hard. The lasts of your clothes are nearly torn off each others bodies. A framed photo on his dresser falls to the floor as you bump against it, forgotten for now.
He makes love to you like he did two weeks ago. It's passionate, a slight rough edge, but always with consideration. The only sounds in the room your mixed moans, rhythmic skin slapping and the occasional ruffle of bedsheets when you adjust positions. After what feels like half an hour, you're both collapsed against each other. The sheets pooling low around his waist. His face buried in your neck to catch his breath. You press a soft kiss to his temple, feeling a lopsided smile form against your skin. He rolls off you and adjusts the blanket, pulling you into his chest. "Sleep, love," he mumbles softly.
Within minutes you were asleep. Neither of you hear Neil letting himself in. He stopped by to return Ives' spare key after looking after his dog and plants while you were away. Neil spots Ives' dufflebag near the front door, assuming he returned home. He pads into he hallway and peeks through the slightly adjar bedroom door. Scattered clothes everywhere. The chair knocked over. The dresser nothing but a pile of chaos. Neil pauses. Then his gaze lands on the bed, where you and Ives are fast asleep, tangled limbs beneath the blanket. He raises a brow, then can't suppress a small chuckle. Surprised? Sure. But not entirely. Some part of him had seen this coming from miles away.

I Wanna Be Yours Part 5
Beatrix started crying as glass around them started shattering. Melinda rotated her body, shielding Beatrix from the falling glass. She could hear Kraven plunging his knives over and over again as he kept shouting at his father’s men to get her and Beatrix to safety. She could hear footsteps getting closer to them. Melinda looked over as one of Nikolai's men came around the bar to get them when he was gunned down. She turned her attention to Beatrix, seeing how frightened she was. She remembered looking that way when she was her age. Melinda started to shake, not from fear but from pure fucking rage.
She looked over, seeing Drimtri huddle up in the corner against the counter. “Drimtri,” Melinda said. “Take Bea.”
“No!” Beatrix yelled, she tightened her grip as she cried. “Don’t leave me!”
She took a hold of her face. “Sweetie, remember what I taught you?” Melinda said.
“Just survive somehow.” Beatrix said.
“Yeah,” Melinda said, smiling. “Just survive somehow.” She pressed forehead against hers. “Everything will be okay, I promise.” She kissed her forehead. “I love you Bea.” She handed her to Drimtri. “Keep her safe.”
“What are you going to do?” Drimtri said.
“What I always do,” Melinda said as a wicked smile appeared on her face. “Rage.”
She took off her high heels and tore her dress, making it shorter. Then she tore off her sleeves and used one of them to put her hair up into a bun. Melinda took the gun the men had, she checked the clip and placed it back. She reached him for more ammo and she found an extra clip. Melinda took a deep breath and made her way around the other side of the counter. She peeked out, seeing Kraven and the others using tables for cover as the other group of men did the same. Neither side was giving the other an inch, so she needed to create one.
Melinda looked over at the bar and she saw the fire extinguisher. She grabbed a hold of it and took off running towards the table they were sitting at when they started firing at her. Kraven turned and yelled for her to get back, but she ignored him. Nikolai turned as Melinda ducked under the table and kicked it over, creating a cover. She tossed the fire extinguisher over the table and towards the men, she took aim and fire once it was right above them. Some men dove out of the way as the fire extinguisher exploded, the others were too slow. The tables fell over and exposed the men, who were now injured and in a daze from the blast. Melinda started opening fire, along with Nikolai’s men, and the other men fired back. They kept firing until both sides ran out of bullets and they had to fight with their first and knives.
Kraven started fighting his way towards Melinda as she started throwing her knives, taking a couple of the men out. A man came towards her and she went to grab another knife when she realized she was out. She started doing what her brothers taught her to do, keep a distance and use her speed against her opponent. Melinda moved quickly, forcing him to use more energy to land a hit. Once he got tired out, she got closer and aimed for the areas to immobilize him. She brought her foot down, breaking his knee cap and causing him to yell out in pain. As he came down, she grabbed his head and brought it down as she brought her knee up. She connected with his nose and there was a loud cracking sound as blood started coming out of his nose.
She shoved him over as another guy came at her. He was too close to her when he swung, giving her no time to fully invade it. So she did another thing she was taught by her brothers, roll with the punches. She leaned back with the blow, lessening the impact to her face. When he threw another punch, she spun around and took a hold of his arm. She used his own momentum against him. Melinda flipped him over onto his back and quickly got him in the arm bar and applied pressure, breaking his arm. She let him go and took a hold of one of his legs, with a twist she snapped his leg.
Melinda looked over as the next guy that started coming at her. He was big, bigger than Kraven was. She got up but she wasn’t fast enough. The time she did he was already on top of her. He wrapped his arms around her, pinning her arms to her side. He lifted her up and started squeezing the life out of her. Melinda knew with more pressure, he was going to stop breaking bones. Either her ribs were going to break and pierce something valid or just break her back altogether. She started getting light headed when she heard Kraven yell her name. She started to remember what she did the last time a person had her like this, she was six and it was her foster father.
She opened her mouth wide and sunk her teeth in his neck, and he let out a scream causing them all to look over. She closed her jaw, ripping through flesh, veins and his artery as she pulled back. They saw her ripping his throat out and he let her go as blood began to pour out. She landed on her feet as the man grabbed his throat, trying to stop the bleeding. He started spitting out blood as he went to the floor, in seconds he was dead. The men looked at him and back at her. Melinda grinned and spit out the chuck of flesh at them, then let out a wicked giggle that sent chills down their spin. They looked at each other and took off running out the door.
“You guys are a bunch of fucking pussies!” Melinda yelled.
She wiped the blood off her face as Nikolai ordered his men to go after them. She grabbed a wine bottle off the ground that surprisingly didn’t shatter. She opened it up and drank a bit, and swirled it around in her mouth. Then she spit it up, getting the taste of blood out of her mouth. She turned around as Kraven grabbed the back of her head and crushed his lips against hers. The kiss was rough, aggressive, and demanding. He pulled back, leaving them both panting as he pressed his forehead against his gaze into her eyes.
“You don’t know how much I want to fucking ravish you right now moya lyubov.” Kraven said. “As soon as we get home, I’m going to take you until the sun comes up.”
She smiled. “I doubt Bea is going to sleep in her own bed tonight.” Melinda said. Their eyes widened. “Bea.” They took off running to the bar. “Bea!”
“Little one!” Kraven said.
He popped up holding Beatrix. “She’s okay.” Drimtri said. “Just scared.”
She cried softly. “Mommy,” Beatrix said, holding her hands out to Melinda. “Mommy.”
She gave her a small smile as she started to tear up. “Come here sweetie,” Melinda said, taking her in her arms. “It’s okay,” she held her tight. “Mommy’s got you. Mommy’s got you.”
“So she is like you,” Nikolai said and Kraven turned to him. “It seems like you made a wise decision, choosing her to be your wife,” he grinned. “She’s strong, unlike your pathetic weak mother.” Kraven clenched his fist as he glared at him.
“Mommy, I wanna go home.” Beatrix said.
“We will sweetie.” Melinda said. She placed her hand on Kraven’s arm and he turned to her. “We need to go.”
Beatrix turned to him and held her arms out to him. He smiled as he took her in his arms. “Let’s get you home little one.” Kraven said. He took Melinda’s hand in his and started heading to the door. “Come on Dima.” Drimtri hopped the bar and hurried to catch up.
“Sergei!” Nikolai said and Kraven turned around. “Let Drimtri take them back. I need you to search for the men that just attacked us.”
He glared at his father. “No,” Kraven said, in a firm tone.
Nikolai narrowed his eyes. Kraven started speaking Russian in a harsh and spiteful tone towards his father. Drimtri looked in disbelief at what Kraven was saying. When Kraven was finished talking Nikolai started to chuckle. Then Nikolia started speaking Russian and when he was done, he just grinned. Kraven shook his head and he turned back around and they continued walking in complete silence.
Couple Hours Later Penthouse:
He closed their bedroom door. “She’s finally asleep,” Kraven said as he came into the living room.
“Thank god.” Melinda said as she kept messing with her foot with the tweezers. “I thought we would have to get her Benadryl to help her sleep.”
“What are you doing moya lyubov?” Kraven said.
“I stepped on a few pieces of broken glass.” Melinda said.
“Moya lyubov, why didn’t you say anything?” Kraven said as he hurried and took a seat next to her.
“Bea was more important.” Melinda said.
He smiled. “Spoken like a true mother,” Kraven said and she smiled. “Give me your foot and tweezers,” she did what he asked and she laid back on the couch. “Do you have glass in your other foot as well?”
“I did but I took them out.” Melinda said. “But can you check to make sure I did get it all?”
“Of course moya lyubov,” Kraven said as he started taking that last couple of pieces of glass out. “Does your cheek hurt? You got slight bruising from when you were hit.”
“Nah,” Melinda said, shaking her head. “I got hit worse.”
“What about your stomach moya lyubov?” Kraven said, he placed his hand on her stomach and started caressing it. “That bastard was squeezing you and our little one pretty hard.”
She giggled. “Shut up,” Melinda said. She smacked his hand, making him chuckle. “My stomach and the baby you are convinced that’s in there is completely fine.” He smiled as removed his hand and went back to taking the glass out. “What were you telling your father back there?” Kraven paused. “You sounded really upset.”
He continued again. “I just told him off for what he said about my mother, that’s all moya lyubov, nothing more.” Kraven said.
“He brought her up when we finished dancing,” Melinda said.
“Of course he did.” Kraven said. He took the last piece of glass out and grabbed her other foot to check. “What did he say to you when you were dancing with him?”
She sighed. “Well,” Melinda said. “He asked when we were going to start having kids because he’s getting old and he wants to see a couple of his grandchildren grow up.” Kraven rolled his eyes as he shook his head. “I told him we had to get married first. He turned around and said he’ll hire a wedding planner and have a wedding for us by the end of the month.” Kraven scoffed. “I told him that’s something me and you should do since I wasn’t about to tell him that we weren’t technology engaged yet.”
“Yet?” Kraven said, he looked at her and smirked. “So you do want to get married to me? Is that why you took off all the other jewelry but left your ring on?”
She just looked at him. “Anyways," Melinda said, Kraven chuckled. "I said you haven’t met my brothers yet to get their approval to buy us time." He nodded his head. "I told him once you do, we can set something up. Of course he started asking when that would be. I told him next month I was planning to go visit my brothers in Detroit for the anniversary of my foster mother and brother’s death. Which I was before all this,” he nodded his head as finished taking care of her feet. “I told him that you can ask them then but if it was alright we were gone for a few days. He said okay but then made the comment, that we better get married and start having kids after that. If not,” he turned to her. “He was going to have you replace me with someone that will give you kids.”
“Did he now?” Kraven said and she nodded her head. “And what do you say to that moya lyubov?”
She grinned. “I told him that wasn’t going to happen because you love how I move my hips and how tight I was too much to trade me up.” Melinda said and Kraven chuckled as he shook his head. “He said I was vulgar and how he liked it. Then he said,”
“Said what?” Kraven said.
“He said my son says you’re like him. I hope so, I hate to see him married to a weak woman like his mother.” Melinda said. Kraven’s breathing got heavy as he looked away and clenched his fist. “He loves talking shit about your mother, doesn’t he?”
“He does.” Kraven said. “Every chance he gets to disrespect her he takes it. My mother was never weak, she was sick.” He unclenched his fist. “Very sick. My mother had arachnophobia. At first it was manageable but the older she got, the worse it got. And he used her illness to advantage. You see moya lyubov,” he turned to her. “My father is a duke and my mother was a duchess, but her family was much wealthier than his. And since my mother and I were the last of her family line, she had control of her family’s money until I came of age. But my father wanted her family’s money before that happened. But to take control of it, she had to be unable to care for herself. Once he could accomplish that, the money was all his.”
“So he used her arachnophobia against her.” Melinda said.
He let out a heavy sigh. “He did,” Kraven said. He looked away. “The things he did to her,” he clenched his fist. “She would cry for me, begging me to help her but there was nothing I could do. He broke her mind, moya lyubov. Then he had her locked away in an asylum and he took her family’s money to build this so-called empire of his. He left my mother there for years, rotting away until,” he sighed. “Until she took her own life to end her living nightmare.” He felt his eyes start to sting as he fought back tears. Melinda moved around and laid her head against his chest as she wrapped her arms around him. He laid his head on hers as he put his arm around her. “I didn’t even get to say goodbye to her or give her a proper burial. He said those that take their own lives don’t get one. The asylum just threw her in some old pine box and buried her in their cemetery. All I have left of her are a few letters and a photo of us when I was the little one’s age. Along with the land back in Russia that belonged to her family.”
“Why didn’t you ever just go?” Melinda said. “Get away from him.”
“I honestly don’t know moya lyubov,” Kraven said. “Despite being stronger and more ruthless than my father, I’m just… just powerless when it comes to fighting against him.”
“He abused you when you were little, didn’t he?” Melinda said.
“Yes,” Kraven said. “It started the same time yours did. The same thing would have happened to Dima, but he wasn’t rebellious like I was. He was a sweet and innocent child, I was the complete opposite. And if Dima ever did something that would upset our father, I took the blame so he wouldn’t get hurt. Though I’m older and have the means to leave, I can’t leave. I don’t know what I would do with my life with the way I am, maybe that’s another reason why I stay. I’m not made to do anything else but this. And if I ever did leave, my life would be spent looking over my shoulder and waiting for my father to be there. Though I hate my father and the life that I’m forced to leave, for once I’m grateful for it.”
“Why’s that?” Melinda said.
“Because it led me to you,” Kraven said. He kissed the top of her head. “You and the little one. Both of you brought happiness and love into my life. Two things I thought I would never have. That’s why I want to marry you so much, moya lyubov and adopt the little one as my daughter. I love you, the both of you.” He kissed the top of her head again. “I give you my word moya lyubov, before our little one is born I’ll get us out of this life and give you the life that all three of you deserve. You just have to bear with me moya lyubov.” They tightened their grip on each other.
“Kraven,” Melinda said, she pulled back to look at him. “Did your father send those men to kill me and Bea? Or to see if I was like you, like you said?” He looked at her. “I know that’s what you two were really talking about in Russian.”
He sighed. “He wanted to see if you were truly worthy of having the Kravinoff name and baring my children.” Kraven said. “That you were strong and as vicious as me, and,” he sighed again. “Not weak like my mother. He said you passed his test with flying colors. And he said he couldn’t wait for you to be his daughter in law and shower his grandchildren with love.”
“Did you know that consuming the wolfbane flower can cause someone to have a heart attack?” Melinda said and Kraven raised an eyebrow. “It also goes un-detective in a toxicology report. So if someone were to put some in your father’s drink, kinda like someone did with my third foster father smoothie. He would have a heart attack just like my foster father did on his way to work after he got handsy with me when I was doing yoga with my foster mother.”
He grinned. “Clever girl.” Kraven said.
“It happens when you're only allowed to read books instead of watching TV.” Melinda said and she smiled. “I ended up learning a lot of different plant life. I also know where the wolfbane grows if you are ever interested.”
“Thank you moya lyubov,” Kraven said and he put his hand on her face. “But I already have a plan in motion. Like I said, you just got to bear with me.” She sighed softly and then she nodded her head. He looked into her eyes and started to smile when she saw she was blushing. “I am glad you're safe moya lyubov, you and the little one. I know I may not have shown it at the time, but I was frightened for your guys’ safety. I was worried I wasn’t going to get to you in time when I saw you were unarmed. But then when you started to fight,” he smiled. “I found myself yet again memorized by the way you moved.” He pulled her closer to him. “You moved so flawlessly, moya lyubov.” He kissed her gently. “Then they way you ripped into his flesh,” he kissed her again. “The way you laugh,” he grabbed her leg and pulled her top onto his lap so she could straddle him. “You don’t know how hard you made me get.” He started kissing her neck, making her moan slightly. “But you're about to find out.” He unzipped his pants and pulled out his hard cock.
He took a hold of her panties but she quickly grabbed his hand. “Kraven we can’t, not right here,” Melinda said, he sighed as he pulled back. “Bea is in our room and Drimtri is passed out in hers. Any one of them can walk in and see us.”
“Turn around.” Kraven said. She looked at him confused. “Turn around moya lyubov.” She turned around in his lap and he grabbed the blanket off the couch, and placed it over their laps. He lifted her up and moved her panties to the side, before she could protest he brought her back down on him. She moaned softly as his cock slid inside of her until he was deep inside of her. “Lay against me moya lyubov.” She laid her back against his chest and he put his hand over her mouth, and the other he started rubbing her clit. She started moaning into his hand, muffled the sounds she made. “Now if anyone walks in,” he started moving her back and forth on him. “They are just going to see me holding my moya lyubov and comforting her after the night she had.” He started kissing her neck. “So just relax moya lyubov and enjoy me ravishing you until the sun comes up.”
One Month And A Half Later:
“Moya lyubov,” Kraven said walking into the bedroom. “The little one’s stuff is all packed and ready to go for tomorrow. Are you finished so I can place your bags by the door?”
“Yeah,” Melinda said, nodding her head.
He grabbed her suitcases and took them to the front door, placing them by his and Beatrix. Then he came back into the room. “Is there anything you think we’ll need?” Kraven said.
“Just the last minute stuff,” Melinda said. “Chargers and toiletries.”
“Alright then.” Kraven said. “I’m going to take a shower.” He smiled. “Care to join me moya lyubov?”
“Yeah but uh,” Melinda said. “Can we talk first?”
His smile faded. “Is something wrong?” Kraven said.
“Oh no,” Melinda said, smiling and putting him at ease. “It’s just I decided something.”
“What did you decide?” Kraven said.
“I decided that,” Melinda said and she sighed. “Man I suck at this stuff,’ he raised an eyebrow, looking confused. “I’m pretty sure you know me saying you're full of shit everytime you tell me I love you is just me deflecting.” He nodded his head. “And I do that because… because I try to deny how I feel about you. And I’m also pretty sure you already know exactly how I feel about you.” He smiled as he nodded his head. “To be honest, I really wanted to say yes when you first asked me to marry you.” He kept smiling as he started slowly walking towards her. “But I was afraid that the moment I did, everything would just, you know, fall apart.” He nodded his head as he stopped in front of you. “But I decided I didn’t want to keep denying my feelings for you. The truth is you are mi corazón, my heart,” they both smile. “And I love you.”
He placed his hand on her face and stroked her cheek with his thumb. “And I love you too, moya lyubov.” Kraven said
“And I also decided,” Melinda said, and she smiled. “I want to marry you.”
He smiled as he moved his hand behind her head and leaned down, kissing her lips gently. He sighed softly into the kiss and he whispered against her lips. “What changed your mind?” Kraven said. She pulled back and removed her hands from behind her back. He looked down, seeing what she had in her hands. He quickly looked up at her, to see a big smile on her face. “Oh moya lyubov.” He smiled. “You have no idea how happy I am right now.”
She looked at the bed and back to him. “Show me,” Melinda said, grinning. He picked her up and went over to the bed, then he placed her on it and got on top of her. She placed her hands on his face and smiled. “I love you mi corazón.”
He smiled. “And I love you moya lyubov,” Kraven said. “More than you can ever know.”

When they got back, Cyrus had the band stop playing and everyone to settle down. At the long table that was set up for the Northman and Kravinoff families, they all took a seat. Sergei and Melinda sat in the middle, his family on his side and her family on her side. Cyrus gave a speech about unity between two great families together with their union. How their marriage was a start of a new era and how everyone will remember the names Northman and Kravinoff for centuries to come. Nikolai speech was basically his way to suck up to Cyrus. How grateful and honored he was to Cyrus for allowing his son to marry his daughter. How he always wanted a daughter and now he had one. How he would treat her as his own flesh and blood. How he couldn’t wait to be a grandfather and how their child will truly unite their families forever.
During Cyrus' speech, Sergei and Melinda had smiled now and again, playing the part of a happy couple. Same for Nikolai’s speech. That was till he said he was going to treat Melinda like his own flesh and blood. Sergei’s face hardened as he clenched his fists and tensed up. For Nikolai to say those words anger him. If people knew exactly how he really treated his family, they would dredge Melinda’s fate. Then when Nikolai said the par about being a grandfather as if he was going to be a part of their lives. Sergei started clenching his fist so tight that his knuckles were turning white. He was already being forced to have children, but he’ll be damned if he was forced to have his children be around his father.
Melinda looked over at Sergei, seeing his reaction. She knew it was because of how Nikolai was behind closed doors. Even though she didn’t know exactly what he had done, when she was inside Sergei’s mind for a few moments she knew he wasn’t the lovely husband or father he claims to be. Nikolai had done something terrible to his wife and his sons. Whatever it was, he would do the same to their children. That’s why right there and then she made a vow to herself. If Nikolai were to ever come near their children she would kill him. Allies or not, she would break the truce and end Nikolai in order to protect them. She would not allow them to suffer like Sergei has, like she has.
She placed her hand on his and immediately he was put at ease. “It’s okay hunter,” Melinda whispered so low that only Sergei could hear. “Once we play our game tonight, you’ll feel better.”
He looked over at her and gave her crooked smile, and she smiled back at him. Their eyes travel down to their hands, seeing hers was still on his. Melinda started removing her hand from his when he moved his hand around quickly, taking a hold of her hand in his. His fingers entered lace with hers as he looked back at the crowd and she looked back up at him. She kept staring at him but he refused to look at her. She looked away as he started stroking her hand with his thumb with a grin on his face. Rather he was doing this for show, for grounding or to claim her, she did not know. But she allowed it, this time.
After Nikolai was done, it was time for Sergei to make his speech. A speech to make the others that weren’t a part of the inner circle believe him and Melinda have been in a relationship. Cyrus and Nikolai both didn’t want their legit business partners and investors to know this marriage was solely a power move for their illegal activities. Not to mention they didn’t want anyone to find out that Sergei and Melinda have been protesting the marriage since Nikolai first suggested it. So now they both have to play the role of a couple madly in love. And worse, express feelings of love and devotion for each other where there was none.
“Go on Sergei,” Nikolai whispered. “And don’t forget to kiss her at the end.”
Sergei let out a low growl. Though Sergei had no shame walking around naked in front of everyone. And didn’t give a shit if someone heard him having sex or even walked in the middle of it, he would just keep going. But when it came to public affection like hand holding and kissing, he was uncomfortable with it. He was surprised at himself that he was able to hold Melinda’s hand and not feel cringe about it. Kissing though, he never even kissed the women he took to bed with. Yes he had sex with them, went down on them and kissed their bodies all over, but not their lips. That was too intimate for him.
Now he was going to have to kiss Melinda in front of everyone. Not just a regular kiss, but a passionate one to sell their false love to everyone. He was going to have to be loving and romantic in a marriage he didn’t want. And he never felt more disgusted about physical contact than he did right now. Simply because he never does those things. It wasn’t him. It will never be him. Sergei gently tugged Melinda’s hand as they both stood up. All eyes were on them as they turned to face each other. And for the first time since he was a teen, Sergei felt nervous.
“Don’t worry,” Melinda whispered. “It’s just us.” She cast an illusion spell, removing everyone and every sound from the room, leaving only just them. “Better?” He nodded his head slightly. “Go head hunter.”
And in that moment, he forgot everything he wrote. He took a deep breath though his nose and took in her scent, he was at ease once more. Then when he looked into her beautiful hazel eyes. And the words he thought he would never say to someone came to him so naturally.
“Since the first time I met you, I knew you were different.” Sergei said. “It wasn’t just the way you dress or talk or the way you move. Every bit of you is different and that’s what drew me to you. Though at first I didn’t understand why I was, I soon found my answer when I looked into your eyes,” he smiled. “Your beautiful hazel eyes that captivated me the moment I looked into them.” She smiled. “I know now, it doesn’t matter if we are thousands miles apart, I’ll always find my way back to you. We could be jammed into an overloaded subway cart and I will only see you,” he put his other hand on her face. “Just you. And I knew now, you were what I have been searching for all my life. Because in you I found not only my kindred spirit and my soulmate, but a place I could truly call home.” He removed his hand from her face and took out the ring as she held her left hand out to him. “Melinda, will you do me the honors of becoming my wife?”
She smiled. ” Yes,” Melinda said and she slightly nodded her head.
He smiled as he slipped the ring onto her on her finger. “May I kiss you little witch?” Sergei whispered.
“You may, hunter.” Melinda whispered.
He put his hand back on her face and the other around her waist. Melinda placed her hands on his chest and the gilded to the back of his neck as he pulled her against his body. They leaned in towards each other as they closed their eyes. His lips gently pressed against hers, he let out a soft sigh against her lips. She tasted sweet, just like he thought she would. He breathed in through his nose taking in her sweet intoxicating scent and he let out a growl into her mouth. Their lips slowly started to move with one another as he slid his hand to the back of her neck, deepening the kiss. Slowly the kiss became intense as Sergei’s tongue brushed up against hers.
When it did, Melinda started to go into a daze and her illusion slowly started to wear off. His tongue touched hers again and the room was filled with clapping and cheering as the illusion faded away. They pulled apart slightly, they panted softly as they started into each other’s eyes, getting lost to one and another. Cyrus' voice snapped them out of it. Melinda was the first to look away and when she did Sergei smiled, seeing her cheeks were now rosy from blushing. As Cyrus started another speech, they pulled further apart and they let go of each other. He helped her in her seat and he sat back down, they held hands again until Cyrus was done talking.
Everyone started to mingle again as the music resumed. Nikolia left the table and stepped outside to the pool area with Shaw to smoke some cigars. Cyrus was speaking with O’Connor and Russo. Dimitri went to sing a few songs, leaving Melinda and Sergei at the table alone. They sat quietly, not even glancing at each other. After a while Melinda excused herself and went over to Kelly and a few of her father’s men. As for Sergei, he stayed at the table and Dimitri came over to drink and talk.
While they did, Sergei’s eyes were on Melinda the whole time. He watched as Kelly and the others stepped away to join Cyrus. Melinda went to the dessert table and started eating sweets. Is that why she smells and tastes so sweet? A crooked smile formed on his face when he thought back to their kiss. He enjoyed it way more than he thought he would. So much so, that he was actually turned on by it. He couldn’t wait for tonight to play their game and win. The moment he does, he was going to claim her as his prize, right there and then.
“Sergei,” Dimitri said. He nudged Sergei and got his attention. “Did you hear me?”
“No,” Sergei said.“What were you saying?”
“I said, what happened to the speech you rehearsed earlier?” Dimitri said. “Why did you change it up?”
“When I found Melinda we were talking about my speech and told her what I had written down,” Sergei said. “Afterwards she said I should change it around and to make it sound more like I was in love. So we sat down and worked on it, till we both agreed it was good.”
He smirked. “Okay lover boy, whatever you say.” Dimitri said.
Sergei scoffed and turned his attention back to Melinda. She started gathering up another plate of treats again. Was she going to take it to Mr Teddy Bones? And what the hell was up with that teddy bear? What was it? His thoughts were interrupted when a man came up to Melinda. He was in an all black 3-piece suit, black dress shirt, tie and shoes. His dark brownish hair was slicked back and he had sunglasses on. Strange to wear shades when it’s nearly ten o'clock at night and they were inside. Maybe he had a sensitivity to lights. Or he was just a douche bag.
He watched as the man placed his hand on Melinda’s lower back and smiled, causing Sergei to tense up. Melinda and the man started eating sweets off the plant she collected while they talked. He used his keen hearing to listen in, but he couldn’t. No doubt she was using a spell so he couldn’t hear what they were talking about. Was he a former lover? Current? When they were done she sat the plate down and the man took her hand. Sergei watched the man lead Melinda to the dance floor and they started dancing together. The man leaned in towards her ear and said something as he smiled, making her giggle. Suddenly felt rage in him as he clenched his fist. The first time in Sergei’s life, he felt jealousy.
“Looks like someone is trying to make a move on your future wife.” Dimitri said. “Are you going to go do something?”
He grabbed his drink. “Why would I?” Sergei said and he took a drink. “It’s not like we are actually together. If she wants to fuck around she can, just like I plan to.”
“Are you really going to do to her what papa did to our mom?” Dimitri said.
He turned to Dimitri. “How can you even ask me that Dima?” Sergei said in a harsh tone. “I would never do what that bastard has done.” His eyes turned gold. “Ever.” He saw Dimitri tense up as he looked down. He sighed softly and he put his hand on his shoulder. “I'm sorry Dima, I didn’t mean to get upset with you. I know papa has hurt you with what he has said and done as well. Do you forgive me, little brother?”
He looked up and smiled. “Of course I do Sergei, you're my brother.” Dimitri said and Sergei smiled. “But do you really plan to mess around, even after you guys get married?”
“It’s not like I plan to but,” Sergei said and he sighed. “I have never been the one woman type. So I think it’s best before the wedding I sit down with Melinda and talk about this. Let her know that I tend to… wonder off. That way we can perhaps come to an understanding and make our own arrangement. I can have my fun and she,” he looked over seeing she was still dancing and smiling with the man from before. “She can have hers.” He turned back to Dimitri. “I’m sure we can work something out and be civil about all this.”
“Too bad you can’t be a one woman man,” Dimitri said, looking over at Melinda. “I like her, I think she’ll be good for you.”
Sergei looked over, seeing they finished dancing as Cyrus came over. He saw Cyrus motioning his head to the doorway that led to the hallway him and her came through earlier. The man nodded his head and Cyrus walked off. The man then looked at Melinda and they gave each other a small smile. He gave her a hug before heading off and to the doorway, and down the hallway. Maybe this man wasn’t just a guest, but a man that worked for Cyrus. His eyes went back to Melinda as she headed to the buffet, that’s when she turned to him. She spoke and this time, he was able to hear her.
“Do you want any food hunter?” Melinda said. He shook his head. “You sure?” He nodded his head. “Alright then.” She turned around and gathered up some food and headed back towards him.
“Well,” Dimitri said as he got up. “I’m going to give you two some privacy.” He headed over to the band so he could sing a few songs.
She took a seat next to Sergei and she looked over at him, seeing he kept his eyes everywhere but hers. “You okay hunter?” Melinda said. “You look upset.”
“I’m fine.” Sergei said, in a cold tone.
“You don’t seem fine.” Melinda said he didn’t respond. “Was I that bad of a kisser?”
“What?” Sergei said and he turned to her. “You think you're a bad kisser?” He chuckled. “Oh no little witch, you are not.” Put his hand on the back of her chair as he leaned over to her, inches from her face. “The moment we started kissing, I had to contain myself because all I could think of,” he grinned. “Was lifting you up and putting you on this table, and ravishing you in front of everyone.”
“Then why are you upset with me?” Melinda said.
His face became serious as he leaned back. “I’m not upset with you,” Sergei said and he looked over at Dimitri as he started singing. Melinda sighed as she looked away. “Who was that man you were dancing with?" She looked back at him though he kept his eyes on Dimitri. "And why couldn’t I hear you two talking?”
“Same reason why camera footage gets distorted when he appears.” Melinda said. “If you are jealous,”
“I’m not,” Sergei said and he turned to her. “I don’t get jealous.”
She sighed and she turned her attention to her food. “Just know this hunter,” Melinda said, she started removing the veggies from her food. “There is no reason to be jealous or upset or whatever you are feeling right now about the man I was just with. He has never bed me.”
“Does he want to?” Sergei said.
“He’s never brought it up or hinted at it.” Melinda said.
"Do you want him to?" Sergei said.
"The thought never crossed my mind nor will it ever will." Melinda said. “There's nothing going on between us besides a deep connection of love and understanding between two best friends that has been established since I was a little girl. So like I said hunter,” she turned to him. "There is no reason for what you are feeling right now. We are not lovers nor we will ever be lovers." He nodded his head and she went back to her food, not wanting to press the matter further. “I hate that my father ordered them to make this with veggies. I hate wasting food, but I hate veggies.”
“Don’t worry little witch,” Sergei said, grabbing his fork. “I love veggies.”
He started eating her veggies and she looked over at him, he smiled at her. She smiled back and went back to eating the rest of her food. They sat there, talking about the cargo shipment that was coming in. Of course his mind went straight to the gutter and he started talking about all the things he was going to do to her when he won. She just rolled her eyes and scoffed at him, making him chuckle. Then they started talking about their favorite animals and animals as they kept throughout the years. Sergei told her about how he hated that his father took him and his brother on hunting trips when he was younger. How he wanted to kill the legendary lion Zar that roamed the plains of Africa so he could become a legend himself. Then his eyes turned gold as his anger rose up in him once more.
“You know what,” Melinda said, taking his hand in hers as she stood up. “Let’s dance.”
“Why?” Sergei said.
“Because,” Melinda said as she smiled. “We madly love,” she batted her eyelashes, making him chuckle as his eyes turned back to normal. “Come on hunter, dance with me.”
“Alright little witch,” Sergei said, getting up as he smiled. “I’ll dance with you.”
He allowed her to lead him over to the dance floor. An idea popped in Dimitri’s mind and he quickly asked for a guitar. They gave him one and he told him that he was going to do this one sole. He started playing a melody as Sergei put his arms around Melinda’s waist and she put her arms around his neck. Dimitri took a deep breath as he changed his voice to a singer named Chester See. He sang his cover version of Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison. But of course, he changed one part of the lyrics around.
“Hey, where did we go, days when the rains came? Down in the hallow, playing a new game. Laughing and a-running, hey, hey. Skipping and a-jumping in the misty morning fog with our hearts a-thumping. And you, my hazel-eyed girl. You, my hazel-eyed girl.”
Sergei looked over and glared at Dimitri, who just smiled back as he kept singing.
“Whatever happened to Tuesday and so slow. Going down the old mine with a transistor radio. Standing in the sunlight laughing, hide behind a rainbow’s wall. Slipping and a-sliding. All along the waterfall with you, my hazel-eyed girl. You, my hazel eyed girl.”
“Do you remember when we used to sing? Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah.
Just like that. Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah. La dee dah.”
Sergei looked back at Melinda, seeing her smiling up at him. He couldn’t help but smile back down at her as they continued to sway to the music. As they did, everyone expected the music to fade away.
“So hard to find my way. Now that I'm all on my own. I saw you just the other day. My, how you have grown. Cast my memory back there, Lord. Sometimes I'm overcome thinking about making love in the green grass. Behind the stadium with you, my hazel-eyed girl. You, my hazel-eyed girl.”
“Do you remember when we used to sing? Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah. Laying in the green grass. Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah. Dee dah dee dah dee dah dee dah dee dah dee. Sha la la la la la la la la la la la la. Dee dah la dee dah la dee dah la
D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d.”
The melody came to an end and so did their sway. They kept their arms around each other and their eyes locked on one and another. Slowly, Sergei leaned down as Melinda leaned up towards him. They closed their eyes and his watch beeped, and he let out a heavy sigh. They opened their eyes and leaned back as they removed their hands.
He turned off the alarm he had set. “Looks like it’s time for our moonlight stroll.” Sergei said.
“Why hunter,” Melinda said. “If I didn’t know any better I would say you seemed kinda disappointed in that.”
He scoffed. “The only one that should be disappointed is you, especially since you're about to lose,” Sergei said. She giggled and he smiled as he let out a soft sigh.
“Come along,” Melinda said. “I need to let my father know I need to step out for some air.” He offered his arm and she took it, then they headed over to Cyrus who was talking with a group of investors. “Father,” he turned to her. “Sorry to interrupt, but may I have a word with you real quick?”
“Of course, sweetie.” Cyrus said, he excused himself and they stepped aside a bit. “Let me guess, you're getting overwhelmed by everyone.”
“You know I don’t like having eyes on me. Plus,” Melinda said, she looked around. “I don’t like being around all these humans.” She looked back at him. “It’s uncomfortable.”
“I’m going to accompany her for a walk outside,” Sergei said. “If that’s alright with you Northman.”
“That’s fine,” Cyrus said and he smiled. “You guys can use that time to talk about the wedding and discuss what you two want to do.”
She smiled. “You mean like not getting married.” Melinda said and Sergei chuckled.
“Smartass,” Cyrus said, smiling. “Just try not to stay out there too long.”
“We won’t father.” Melinda said.
They headed through the doors to the pool area as they walked casually. As they walked around outside, they passed a few people and greeted them with a small head nod. They got over to the main garden area and she let go of his arm. Melinda started running with Sergei right behind her as she led them through the maze of flowers and trees until they made it to the dead end where the wall was at. Before she could jump over, Sergei scooped her up in his arms and launched them into the air. They landed on the other side, where one of Nikolia’s men had left a car for them. He sat her down on her feet and went over to the driver side, opening it up. He reached down and popped the trunk open.
Melinda looked inside seeing Kraven The Hunter’s famous hunting attire. Dark brown leather vest with matching arm guards. Dark brown pants and dark brown combat boots. Along with a dark blue long sleeve terminal shirt he was none to wear now and again. He also had his weapons, knives, poison darts, and a crossbow. He came over and he started removing his clothes right there. Sergei smirked when Melinda quickly went over to the passenger side and got in. Once he was all set, he closed up the trunk and got into the driver side. They drove down the dirty pathway but soon stopped when they saw someone in the middle of the road, Kelly.
“Shit.”

Two Families & One Bad Romance Part 3
Mansion: 11PM
Sergei’s eyes turned golden as he began seeing in the dark. He made his way through the thick forest that surrounded the mansion. Spacing all the traps they had laid out. He found the tallest tree and climbed up it until he was high enough. He crouched down on the branch as he looked over at the mansion. His vision zoomed in allowing him to see all the arm guards as if he was up close to them. He was looking around, counting how many there were as he figured out their pattern of movement. A raven flew in his sight and he zoomed back out as the bird perched on the branch just above him. The branch the raven sat went down slightly, catching Sergei’s attention. He breathed through his nose, smelling the sweet aroma that he found himself missing. He smirked as he looked over at the spot where the smell came from.
“Good evening little witch.” Sergei said. Red mist appeared up against the tree trunk on the brunch above him. It disappeared and Melinda was there, in the same outfit as before. “You're early.”
“So are you hunter,” Melinda said, the raven flew onto her shoulder.
“And why are you?” Sergei said.
“My father didn’t trust your father not to send you in before midnight.” Melinda said. “Seems he was right.”
“He was but I wasn’t going to go in.” Sergei said.
“Oh?” Melinda said as she raised an eyebrow. “And why not?”
“I have more honor than my father does.” Sergei said. “Why didn’t you just go in?” He smirked. “Scared?”
She scoffed. “Hardly.” Melinda said. “My father and I have honor as well. He told me to wait here till you show and only enter early if you do. I agreed.”
“Is that right?” Sergei said and turned back to the mansion. “How long have you been waiting for then?”
“Since nightfall.” Melinda said. “They shift around every 10 minutes. He has 50 men outside and another 50 inside. All armed with high power rifles except for those on the roof. They have,”
“Barrett M82,” Sergei said. “High caliber sniper rifles designed to hit their target up to 2,000 meters.”
“Which is why we’re 3,000 meters.” Melinda said.
“Can you mind control them this distance?” Sergei said.
“Maybe, maybe not.” Melinda said. “But what fun would it be for us if I did?” He chuckled. “Tell me hunter,” she leaned over closer to him. “Do you like playing games?”
“I prefer hunting.” Sergei said.
“Pity,” Melinda said as she leaned back. “I was hoping to play my favorite game with you.”
He turned to her. “And what game would that be little witch?” Sergei said.
“It’s called,” Melinda said and she leaned in again. “Who's the better killer?”
He grinned. “And how does one play this game of yours?” Sergei said.
“They’re very simple.” Melinda said. She got down the branch he was on and crouched down beside him. Her hand glowed, realizing an image of the mansion as the men moved around. “Like I said, there are 50 men outside and,” the image changes to the view from inside of the mansion. “50 men inside.”
“Where’s The Rhino?” Sergei said.
“He’s held up here,” Melinda said and the image changed to a large circle room. “As you can see, there is only one way in and out of that room. After we slaughter all his men, we will meet up in the hallway that leads to the room The Rhino is held up in. We will tell each other our total kills at the same time. Whoever kills the most men, wins.”
“And what does the winner get in this game?” Sergei said.
“Whatever they want from the loser,” Melinda said as the image faded from her hand
“Whatever they want?” Sergei said.
She leaned in towards him. “Whatever they want." Melinda said. “And the loser can’t say no to it, whatever it may be. And the winner can collect their prize whenever they wish.”
“In that case,” Sergei said, he grinned. “I’ll play this little game of yours and when I win,” he leaned in just an inch away. “You’ll not only remove your mask so I can see your face, but all your clothing so I can gaze upon your naked body, little witch.”
She raised an eyebrow. “That’s it?” Melinda said
“That’s it.” Sergei said.
“Very well,” Melinda said as she leaned back. “If I lose I’ll remove all my clothing for you so you may see me.”
“And what do you want if I lose?” Sergei said. “Perhaps for me to remove my clothing and satisfy you?” He winked at her.
“If you wanted satisfaction you should have said that was what you wanted if you won.” Melinda said and he lightly chuckled. “What I want is something simple and humble.”
He scoffed. “No woman wants something simple and humble,” Sergei said. “They want the highlife, money, diamonds and gold. That’s why I only fuck.”
“Well hunter, maybe the women you take to bed are but I am not like that.” Melinda said. “My mother was a simple and humble woman and she raised me to be one. That’s why I want you to take me to your mother’s homeland for a week.” He leaned back, taken by her request. “I heard her side of the family has an animal reserve in Russia. I wish to see it. Do we have a deal hunter?” She held out her hand to him.
“Yes little witch,” Sergei said, taking her hand in his. “We have a deal.” He shook her hand before letting it go. “Should we wait for midnight? Or go now?”
“I don’t know,” Melinda said. “When do you feel like losing?” He chuckled and he jumped down. “Now it is then.” She disappeared and reappeared on the ground beside him. “I think it’s only fair I don’t use my magic to teleport myself in since you can’t do that.”
“I was going to tell you to teleport in there and take out the snipers,” Sergei said, they looked at each other and he smirked. “That way you can get ahead start since you’ll need it.”
She rolled her eyes. “Such a gentleman.” Melinda said, he chuckled as they looked forward. “I already have a way in for the both of us.“ She had her raven climbed onto her finger. “I need you to get the others and give us cover.” Sergei smiled when he saw the raven pressed its forehead to hers. A sign the raven had a deep trust and a bond with her. “You be careful too my friend.” He pulled back and flew off into the tree for a moment. When he came back out, he went up into the air as hundreds upon hundred birds followed him up, blacking out the moonlight. “Shall we?”
He smiled. “Ladies first.” Sergei said. She took off running as fast as she could towards the gates. He waited for a couple of minutes before he took off running towards her, in seconds he caught up to her. There were two guards at the gate that took aim. He threw his knives, stabbing them both in the eyes and taking them down. “Seems like you're at a disadvantage already little witch.”
“Am I?” Melinda said.
The birds flew down at the snipers, causing them to drop their guns in order to shield themselves. They got to the gate and Sergei prepared to jump when Melinda used her magic to blast the ground behind her. He stumbled a bit as she launched herself in the air and over the gate. She started coming down in the middle of five arm guards and they turned their guns at her. When she landed, she sent a pulse of her magic out of her body that sliced the men in half.
She turned around as Sergei landed near her. “Oh look at that, 5 to 2.” Melinda said. “Seems like you're at a disadvantage hunter. ”
He chuckled. “For now, little witch,” Sergei said. “The night is still young.”
Melinda went one way and Sergei went the other way. They started slaughtering the men one by one as they kept track. Melinda would blast her men, getting them in half or lifting them off the crowd and snapping their bones. Or even having them shot one and another. Sergei would use brute strength, snapping their necks or crushing their skulls in. He would throw his knives at their throat or get up close and slice it open. Once the men on the outside were dead, they went through the windows to get inside. They took down more men as they started clearing each room on opposites of the mansion. As they continued on, Melinda heard Sergei growling and snarling like a wild animal. He even let out a thunderous roar that could rival a lion’s. Then finally they made it to the room where the Rhino was waiting for them in.
She looked Sergei up and down, seeing he was covered in blood. “I feel like your drying cleaning bill is extremely high.” Melinda said.
He chuckled. “It can be.” Sergei said
Though she had a mask on he could tell by her eyes she was smiling. And despite that mask, Sergei found her unbelievably attractive. From her fitted outfit, he could see she had a busty chest, hourglass figure, nice round ass, wide mother bearing hips and thick things. He stepped closer to her and he stopped just inches from her. He tower over her as he looked down into her red glowing eyes. Sergei reached out to brush back the strains of hair that was slightly covering her face but a barrier of red mist appeared around her, forcing him to stop.
“I don’t like being touched without being asked permission first.” Melidna said.
“May I?” Sergei said. The barrier disappeared. He gently pushed her hair back behind her ear as he kept his eyes on hers. “Tell me little witch,’ he leaned his face in closer to hers. “What color are your eyes when you're not using your magic?”
“I think you're forgetting why we are here hunter,” Melinda said. “And it’s not for us to get acquainted.” She moved her hand forward and Sergei slid back away from her. “Now on the count of three, we will say how many we killed out loud. Ready?” He nodded his head. “1,2, 3.”
“50,” They said together and they scoffed.
“Seems we have ourselves a tie,” Sergei said.
“So it seems.” Melinda said, she turned to the door and Sergei followed her gaze. “I guess not only will The Rhino’s death determine which of our fathers gains this territory. But also who will win this game of ours.”
“Looks like it,” Sergei said. He took a pair of hunting knives that also had brass knuckles on them. “Is it too late to switch what I want if I win?”
She summoned her magic in her hands. “Yes,” Melinda said.
He chuckled. “Too bad,” Sergei said. “Then whenever we get another chance to play this game again, I’ll go for satisfaction from you as my prize.”
“If The Rhino doesn’t kill you that is.” Melinda said. He chuckled again. “Let’s get this over with so I can start packing for our trip to your mother’s homeland.” She blasted the door open and The Rhino was standing there up across the room in full form.
“He really does turn into a rhino.” Sergei said as they walked into the room.
“In that case, your knives won’t be able to pierce his hide hunter. You might as well sit this one out and let me take care of this.” Melinda said. She raised her hand up to send a blast out to him but nothing happened. “What?” She tried again, nothing. She looked at her hand as her magic faded away. “What’s happening?” She raised up her other hand and looked down at her, same thing. “My magic it’s...”
“Gone.” The Rhino said. She looked up as he pulled down the tapestry, relieving a ruin that was carved into a concrete wall. They looked around the room as more tapestries fell down and relieved more ruins that surrounded them. They turned back to him as he started laughing. “As long as you're in this room, witch, you can’t use your magic.”
“In this room yes,” Melinda said. “But outside the room.” She ran for the door but before she could reach it a thick steele door came down and sealed the room off. She stopped right before she ran into the door. “Shit.” The sound of more metal coming down could be heard going down the hallway as they turned back to the door.
“There’s 10 steele doors going down that hallway, all 10 inches thick,” The Rhino said and she turned to him. “The walls in this room are made of 40 inches of concrete. Not even The Great Kraven The Hunter can use his strength to break through.” He laughed.
“We’ll see about that.” Sergei said. He let out a mighty roar as he charged at The Rhino who charged back at him and they launched themselves in the air. The Rhino speared Sergei in the air and Melinda dove out of the way as they came back down. He took a deep breath as The Rhino’s weight started crushing up. “Fuck, your really heavy.”
“Hunter!” Melinda yelled.
“Don’t worry little witch,” Sergei said, smirking. “I got this.”
“Do you?” The Rhino said.
The Rhino went to punch him and Sergei dodged it. Sergei quickly slipped out from under him and charged at The Rhino. He did a drop kick him and sent The Rhino flying to the wall, cracking it on the impact. The Rhino got up and they charged each other again, and Sergei docked under. He swung back around and threw a punch, connecting with the Rhino’s face. But he was unfazed by the punch. Sergei looked at the brace knuckles on the handle, seeing they were crushed. The Rhino swung and Sergei ducked under, and went around him. He brought down his knife on The Rhino’s back but the blade against his hide.
The Rhino spun back around and swung, and yet again Sergei dodged it. He started stabbing his chest and face, but each time, the blades broke off more. The Rhino swung again and this time he connected, and he sent Sergei flying across the room. Sergei slammed into the way and slid down. He groaned as sat up and looked up at the wall, seeing it was cracking. Melinda shouted for him to move as The Rhino came charging at him. He looked back and flipped over, then he kicked off the wall, and launched himself at The Rhino to take him down but The Rhino grabbed a hold of him. He flipped Sergei over, and slammed him hard into the ground. The Rhino brought his foot down on Sergei’s head but he rolled out of the way at the last second.
Sergei got up and started attacking The Rhino’s legs, hoping to break his knees to bring him down. But he couldn’t and The Rhino swung again, sending Sergei flying once more. He hit the wall, causing it to crack as came back down on the ground hard. Sergei refused to give up as he pushed himself to get back up. He spit the blood he had in his mouth on the floor and he charged The Rhino once more. They kept fighting on, breaking the furniture in the room. Sergei kept getting slammed up against the wall, making it crack more.
Eventually Sergei started to slow down from every blow and hit the wall. Every breath he took was hurting him but he wouldn’t let it show. The Rhino threw Sergei against the wall once more and Sergei spat up more blood when he hit the ground. He heard noise near him and he looked over, seeing Melinda yanking out a rebar from the wall that got broken off. Sergei got up and ran towards The Rhino. He jumped in the air and Melinda tossed him the rebar. He caught it as he came down towards The Rhino’s face and aimed for his eye. But The Rhino was too quick and he got Sergei by the throat.
“So this is all Kraven The Hunter has to offer?” The Rhino said. “How pathetic.” He started squeezing Sergei’s throat and he started gasping for air. “After I’m done with you Kraven, I’ll kill that witch.” Sergei looked at The Rhino’s side and he saw the opening. “I think after I’m done with you two. I’ll hang both of your lifeless bodies on display and show the world I am,” he jammed rebar into the opening and shoved in as far as he could. He threw Sergei and he hit the floor hard. He looked down as he pulled the rebar out and he looked over at Sergei. “You think that will stop me?” He started coughing up blood.
“Yeah.” Sergei said, grinning.
The bell toll from the grandfather clock that survived their fight. “Midnight.” Melinda said. They looked over at her, seeing she was standing on top of the clock and her eyes glowing red. “Also known as the witching hour.” She dropped the piece of concrete that was in her hand. The Rhino looked up at the ruin that was just above Melinda and he saw she had chipped away at it. He looked at the other ruins, seeing they were all cracked from the fight. “Tell me Rhino,” he coughed up more blood as he looked over at her. “Did you know during the witching hour a witch’s magic increases by ten fold?” The orbs and mist returned to her hands as she floated back down. “The power boost only lasts for a minute but that’s all I need to kill you.”
She charged at him and The Rhino charged at her, and she went down going into a slide right underneath him. She let out a war cry as she blasted The Rhino and sent him through the ceiling, and high above the mansion. He went over 300 feet before the last bell tolled, signaling the witching hour had ended. Her magic faded and she started panting from how much magic she used. Her eyes widened when she saw The Rhino started falling back towards the mansion.
“Oh shit.” Melinda said. Sergei got up and threw himself on top of her, and wrapped his arms around her. He sent them into the roll until they were in the clear. He tucked her under his body as The Rhino came crashing back into the mansion. After the debris and dust settling she looked up at him as he looked down at her. “Thank you hunter.” He smiled as his eyes turned back to normal. He slowly started leaning his head down towards hers. “But you know I could have easily used a barrier to shield us.”
“Now she tells me.” Sergei said. He chuckled and then he groaned in pain “Fuck, my ribs.” He pushed the debris off his back as he sat up. “I need a beer.”
“I need you to get off of me.” Melinda said.
“You're right little witch,” Sergei said, he rolled off of her and smirked. “After all, how else are you supposed to take off your clothes for me if I’m still on top of you?”
“What?” Melinda said, she sat up.
He stood up. “You said the winner gets whatever they want from the loser.” Sergei said. “Did you not?”
“Yes I did,” Melinda said.
“Then,” Sergei said he offered his hand to her and he helped her up. “You have to remove your clothes for me now.” He grinned. “Do it nice and slow for me little witch, so I can savor this moment.”
“The only thing I’ll be doing that involves my clothes is packing them.” Melinda said. “Because I’m the one that killed The Rhino.”
He scoffed. “You did not.” Sergei said.
“Clearly,” Melinda said. She motioned to The Rhino’s human lifeless body. “My magic killed him.”
“No,” Sergei said, shaking his head. “The rebar I shoved into his side caused internal damage. That’s why he was coughing up blood. If you didn’t interfere he would have died in a couple minutes.”
“You didn’t have a couple minutes, hunter,” Melinda said, getting into his face. “Or did you forget? I was the one that gave you the rebar in the first place. Otherwise you would have been dead by now.”
“Please,” Sergei said, rolling his eyes. “I was the one that figured out where to stab The Rhino without your help. Besides, all you did was just scuff around in the background while I did all the work.”
“All you did was keep using brute force even though it wasn’t working.” Melinda said. “I came up with a plan to save our asses.”
“Save our asses?” Sergei said and he chuckled. “It looked more like you were just saving your own ass.”
“Oh really now?” Melinda said. “Because it looked like you were being tossed around like a freaking rag doll.”
“Is that right?” Sergei said, he crossed his arms. “I think you mean how I allowed him to throw me against the wall so I can destroy the ruins so you could get us out after I killed The Rhino.”
“Allowed?” Melinda said. “Yeah right. You just don’t want to admit that you really didn’t got it and you needed help.” He scoffed. “I guess The Rhino was right,” She crossed her arms. “You are pathetic.”
His eyes glow golden. “Take care what you say little witch,” Sergei said as he glared at her. “Or I just might forget you're a woman.”
“And you take care what you say hunter,” Melinda said, as her eyes glow brighter. “Or I just might take over your mind and force you tell me what you fear the most. Then use it in order to kill you.” His eyes turned back to normal as he stepped away from her. “Are you actually afraid of something hunter?”
He ignored her question as he walked over to the opening in the ceiling. “Let’s go,” Sergei said. He jumped up and went through, and landed on the ground as she appeared beside him. “We’ll tell our fathers you killed The Rhino.” Suddenly he went into a daze and just as quickly he came out of that. He let out a growl. “Witch!” He turned to her with fury in his eyes as they turned gold. “You have no fucking right to,”
He froze when he saw her hazel eyes. “I know what it’s to lose a mother so cruelly.” Melinda said. “To sit there and watch them lose themselves because their minds become so broken.” His face softened as his eyes went back to normal. “We’ll say that you killed The Rhino.”
“No,” Sergei said, shaking his head. “You're right, little witch. I had no plan but you did. If you didn’t come up with one and get your magic back, most likely I would be dead right now.”
“To be honest hunter, I rely on my magic too much.” Melinda said. “If I knew how to fight I could have helped you instead of allowing you to get injured the way you did so you could land that death blow on him.”
He sighed as he crossed his arms. “It seems we are at another impasse.” Sergei said.
“Seems like we are.” Melinda said. The raven flew over and handed on her shoulder, and cawed. “My father is pulling up now, along with the others.”
“We should get going then.” Sergie said. They started walking towards the front. “When would you like me to take you to my mother’s homeland?”
“I’m surprised you didn’t ask when I would like to take my clothes off for you.” Melinda said and he chuckled. They got to the front as one of the SUVs came to a stop. The door flew open and the first person to jump out was Cyrus. “Father.” She went over to him as he ran towards her.
“Sweetie are you alright?” Cyrus said, pulled down her mask as he looked her over. “Are you hurt?” She shook her head. “Thank god.” He pulled her into a tight embrace. “When I saw your magic in the air all the way from home I feared the worst.” He kissed the top of her head. “Don’t ever scare me like that again. I can’t lose you too sweetie. I can’t.”
Sergei could see concern in Cyrus' eyes as he continued to hold Melinda. He couldn’t help but think of his mother and the way she used to be with him. She was sweet and kind, lovely and caring. She always knew how to comfort him and put him at ease. But his father, he was nothing like that. He was cruel and manipulative, abusive and heartless. He could care less what happened to Sergei as long as it didn’t interfere with him getting what he wanted.
Headlights came down the road and Sergei looked over, seeing his father’s SUV and the other from bosses were pulling up. When it came to a stop it was Dimitri, his half brother that was first to come out. He walked over to Sergei. They didn’t hug, they just nodded at each other. They knew better than to show affection in front of their father. Who would only see it as a weakness. Melinda pulled up her mask before they turned their attention as the others got out. Then finally Nikolai got out of the vehicle and walked over.
“So who finished off the Rhino?” Nikolai said. Melinda and Sergei looked at each other, then back to him. “Don’t tell me he got away.”
“He didn’t.” Melinda said. “The Rhino died by,”
“Both our hands.” Sergei said
“What?” Cyrus and Nikolai said.
“The Rhino was a lot stronger than we thought,” Sergei said. “So it took both of us to bring him down. I used my strength and she used her magic.”
He looked over at Melinda. “Is that true?” Cyrus said and she nodded her head.
“Seems like no one wins our bet.” Russo said.
“Aye.” O’Conner said. “Now how are you two going to solve who gets what before the White Death comes?”
“You two can always have the children fight it out.” Shaw said. “Winner takes all.”
“There is no need.” Nikolai said.
“I’m surprised you wouldn’t want them to fight.” Cyrus said. “Or you just worry your son would lose to my daughter Kravinoff.”
“Not at all Northman,” Nikolai said. “I have the utmost confidence in my son that he would beat your daughter. But I want to suggest something else to settle our little dilemma.”
“And that is?” Cyrus said.
“I get the drug trade and you get the weapon trade.” Nikolai said. “We will divide the money and manpower. Along with any assets. As for his other business, we go 50/50 as partners.”
He raised an eyebrow. “You want to be business partners?” Cyrus said
“Of course.” Nikolai said, smiling. “It would be good for both of us. No?” Cyrus just looked at him. “If we go into business together I don’t have to worry about you sending your daughter after me. And you don’t have to worry about me sending my son after you. Then when the White Death comes we will face him together.”
“And what reassurance do I have that you won’t betray me?” Cyrus said. “Because I would hate to have my daughter go into your mind and rip it apart.”
“That won’t be necessary.” Nikolai said. “I would never betray my family.”
“Family?” Cyrus said he scoffed. “We aren’t family Kravinoff.”
“We will be.” Nikolai said. “As soon as you married your daughter to my son.”
“What?!” Melinda and Sergei yelled.

Two Families & One Bad Romance Part 2
15 Years Later
“Sergei!” Nikolai yelled as he pushed the double doors to his bedroom open. “Get up already.” He walked over to the window and threw the curtains open. “It’s almost noon.”
He groaned. “I’m up.” Sergei said.
He sat up in bed and there were two soft sighs that came from two women, one on each side of him. They sat up and looked over, seeing Nikolia smiling at them. They got out of bed and picked their clothes off the ground. They quickly got dressed and took off out of the room. Sergei got out of bed and went over to his drink station, still completely naked.
“Sergei, put some clothes on.” Nikolai said.
“I’m not the one that came into someone’s bedroom uninvited.” Sergei said and he poured himself some vodka. “Why are you in here anyways?”
“I have a meeting to attend to.” Nikolai said. “And I need The Great Kraven The Hunter by my side.”
“Of course you do.” Sergei said, chugging down his vodka. “Who’s going to be there?”
“Shaw, Russo, and O’Connor.” Nikolai said. “Even Northman will be there.”
“Northman?” Sergei said, he turned to him. “The one they say that has a witch working for him?”
“So they say,” Nikolai said. “But that’s why we must go. If Northman does have this witch then we need him on our side.”
“Northman doesn’t take sides.” Sergei said. “His family stands alone, always has.”
“Times have changed." Nikolai said.
“Who called this meeting?” Sergei said.
“No one knows.” Nikolai said. “My invite came from Shaw. But Shaw says his invite came from O’Conner. No doubt the others invited came from someone else as well.”
“So it’s a trap then.” Sergei said, he rolled his eyes. “That’s great.”
“Nothing that Kraven The Hunter can’t get us out of.” Nikolai said as he headed back to the doorway. “Hurry and get dressed, and meet me downstairs.” He closed the doors behind him.
“At least I’ll get to kill some people today.” Sergei said. He poured himself another shot of vodka. “Hopefully this time they're worthy opponents."
Noon: Abandoned Warehouse At The Docks
There were four doors, one on each side of the warehouse. Each mob family took a door and entered inside. It was the head of the families, their second and third in command with them. No guns, no knives. Of course, Sergei didn’t need any. All his senses were sharper than the average man. He was stronger, faster and more agile. All because he wasn’t like the rest of them, not after that elixir he drank when he was a teenager. He was more animal like now, thanks to it. And because of that, no one was a match for him. Maybe the witch would be.
Sergei took a deep breath, taking everyone’s scent but no one smelled different, they were human. But there was a sweet aroma in the air. It smelled like a mix of flowers and sweets. A woman? He looked around, only men were here. Maybe a woman was in here before they showed up. Maybe she was the one that set up this meeting. But why would she? Or maybe this woman was the witch that he kept hearing about. But normally when he smelled a witch, man or woman, they smelled disgusting to him. So why would this one smell sweet? Why would she smell so… intoxicating?
They all finally reached the middle and stopped a few yards from each other. “So,” Nikolai said. “Who really called this meeting?”
“I take it you figure out none of us did and this is really a trap,” Cyrus said.
“Yes,” Nikolai said, smiling. “But yet, you still came.”
“And yet you came.” Cyrus said. “But of course you have your son here to protect you.” He looked at Sergei. “Kraven The Hunter, who is said to be the greatest hunter in all the world. What else do they say about you? Oh that’s right,” he smiled. “Faster than a cheetah. More cunning than a fox. More ferocious than a tiger. Stronger than a grizzly bear. Supposedly you can communicate with animals, like the fictional character in the old Beastmaster movies.” Sergei narrowed his eyes at him. “I heard you're supposed to be very brutal, animalistic even when you fight. Snarling and growling like a beast. They even say your eyes turn golden when you tap into these abilities of yours. Is that true, beastmaster?” He chuckled.
“Piss me off and find out.” Sergei said.
He grinned. “Down boy,” Cyrus said.
Sergei stepped forward but Nikolai put the back of his hand on Sergei’s chest, forcing him to stop and back up. “Rumor has it you have a witch on your side.” Nikolai said.
“Maybe.” Cyrus said, smiling.
“Also this witch,” Nikolai said and he smiled. “Is your daughter.” Cyrus' smile faded. “So it is true.” He chuckled. “I wonder which one of our children is stronger, mine or yours.” Sergei’s head turned as he started hearing movement from outside. “What is it?”
“We’re being surrounded.” Sergei said, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath through his nose. “At least 50 men, heavy armed.” He opened his eyes again and they were golden.
“So they do turn golden.” Cyrus said. “Tell me, how do you know they are heavily armed?”
He looked over at him. “I can smell the metal and the gunpowder.” Sergei said.
“I’mpressive.” Cyrus said, he smiled.
“How about we stop chit chat and do something.” Russo said.
“Aye,” O’Connor said. “We can’t keep standing around with our dicks in our hands.”
“Northman,” Shaw said. “If that bloody witch of yours is around here, have her slaughter those men before they come in here.”
“She will,” Cyrus said. “But she’s waiting.”
“For what?” Russo said. “A damn invite?”
“To see what this one does,” Cyrus said, motioning to Sergei. “She heard all about The Hunter and she wants to see what he’s made of. She wants to know if he’s worthy of fighting her or,” He grinned. “If he’ll be just another disappointment.” Sergei scoffed.
“Show them,” Nikolai said.
“Do make sure to at least keep one man alive,” Cyrus said. “We do need information after all.”
Sergei turned around and walked over to the nearest column. He jumped up almost 20 feet into the air and took a hold of the column, and quickly climbed up into the raptors. He started running across the beams and swinging around on them like a gorilla. He got to the skylight and he opened it up, then climbed up onto the roof. Sergei went across the roof without making a sound just like a cat. He was about to jump down when he smelled the sweet aroma from earlier again. Sergei looked over to another warehouse across from where he was at where the smell was coming from. Though no one was there he could sense he was being watched. An idea popped in his head to figure out if this witch was really Cyrus’ daughter. He had heard she knew multiple languages, including ASL just like him. So he decided to communicate with her to find out if it was her. He signed, “I know you are there little witch. I can smell you.” He smirked as the feeling of being watched disappeared along with the sweet aroma. Sergei jumped down and got to work.
A Few Minutes Later
“Good thing I didn’t wear my new shoes to this,” Cyrus said, looking at all the blood and flesh that were on the bottle of his shoe before putting it back down. “I guess for once the rumors weren’t just that, rumors.”
“Speaking of rumors.” Nikolai said. “Where is that witch of a daughter of yours?” He chuckled as Cyrus glared at him. “Didn’t you say she was out here?”
“She’s over there.” Sergei said, he motioned his head to the SUV. They looked over, seeing no one and then looked back at him. “I smelled her when we first came in here. And again on the rooftop.” He turned around to the SUV. “So there’s no point in using tricky, I have your scent little witch. I’ll be able to find you no matter where you are.”
Red mist appeared above the SUV, it swirled around before it went back down. Leaving a woman that was dressed black boots that went up to her knees and black slim tactical pants that were tucked into them. She had a black fitted tactical jacket that was zip up and hood over her head. Black gloves on and black masking covering up her face. The only thing they could see were her eyes that were glowing red that were fixated on Sergei. And his golden eyes were locked on hers.
“So she’s Houdini,” Nikolai said. “Not very impressive.”
“Just wait till you can see what she can do,” Cyrus said, motioning her to come over. She stepped off the SUV and floated down, then she walked over to him. “Shall we gentlemen?” Sergei kept his eyes on her as they made their way back into the warehouse. They went over to where one of the men that was spare was on the floor surrounded by the thirds in command. “Now,” he used his foot to roll the man over onto his back. “Who are you working for?”
“Go fuck yourself.” He said.
“Sweetie.” Cyrus said.
She tilted her head. “Stop breathing.” Melinda said.
The man let out a large gasp as he arched his back. He went back down as he started to claw at his neck like he was trying to remove an invisible hand from it. He thrash around as he continues to struggle to breath. He slowly started turning red, along with his eyes.
He rolled his eyes. “Melinda Northman,” Cyrus said, as he turned to her. “You know I meant take over his mind and make him talk.”
“Yes,” Melinda said as she turned to him. “But this way is much funnier.” He gave her a serious look and she scoffed. “You never let me have any fun anymore.” She turned back to the man. “Breath.” He let out another loud gasp and he took in some air before he started choking a bit. She put her hand out and a red glowing orb appeared, along with the red mist. She jerked her hand up and the man pulled up to his knees. She rotated her hand around and flicked her hand forward, sending the mist over to the man’s head. It entered his face and his eyes glowed red, and his body went slightly limp. “Who are you working for?”
“Some weird guy, a freak.” He said. “Calls himself the Rhino.”
“Never heard of the wanker.” Shaw said.
“Must be a new player in town.” Russo said.
“Who is this Rhino?” Nikolai said.
“Aleksei Sytsevich.” He said. “They call him the Rhino because he can turn into one.”
“What do you mean?” Cyrus said. “Is he a shapeshifter?”
“No,” He said, shaking his head. “He had some medical condition when he was growing up that no doctor seemed to know what it was. Then one day he met a biochemist who was a professor. Miles Warren from New York. He did some sort of procedure on Aleksei to make him stronger and it worked. But it changed him. His skin hardened, making him indestructible, like a rhino. He even has horns like one. But the transformation from man to beast is too painful for Aleksei. So he wears this medical backpack that holds these IV looking bags. They hook up to his side and pump out a mixture of medication into his system to keep him from transforming.”
“So if he unplugs it, he’ll transform.” Cyrus said.
“Yes,” He said.
“And if it’s plugged back in?” Russo said.
“The transformation stops and then reserves.” He said.
“Can he be killed when he’s in his human form?” Nikolai said.
“Yes,” He said.
“Does he have any territory here?” Cyrus said.
“Yes,” He said. “He took over Semyon Chorney territory after he heard The Hunter killed him. He’s staying in his mansion on the outskirts of the city.”
“What is his plan exactly?” Cyrus said.
“Hit the four strongest crime families at once.” He said. “Then take everything they have and take over the city. Some small crime families are already joining him. But rumor has it The White Death from Japan plans to come over and take Chorney territory if The Rhino fails.”
“There goes the bloody neighborhood.” Shaw said.
“Anything else he’s planning?” Cyrus said.
“No,” He said. “He’s making things up as he goes.”
“Then there’s no more need for you.” Cyrus said. “Kill him.” With a twist of Melinda’s wrist the man’s head snapped all the way around to where they saw the back of his head before he fell over. “Now, what to do about this Rhino.”
“He has to go,” O’Conner said.
“Obviously,” Russo said.
“Yes but if he goes we have to deal with that cunt White Death.” Shaw said. “That bollock is completely fucking mental.”
“My daughter can easily kill both of them.” Cyrus said. “Once she kill this Rhino, I’ll take over the territory and then,"
“You have no right to his territory," Nikolai said.
“And you think you do?” Cyrus said.
He grinned. “I do.” Nikolai said
“Let me guess,” Cyrus said as he grinned back. “It’s because you both are Russian.”
“His territory deals with drugs,” Nikolai said, as he stepped closer to him. “Which you, Northman, do not.”
“His territory also deals with weapons,” Cyrus said as he stepped closer, closing the gap between them. “Which you, Kravinoff, do not.”
Sergei and Melinda’s locked eyes again as their eyes glowed brighter. Sergei reached behind his back and pulled out his two large hunting knives. He gripped them tight and took a fighting stance. Melinda moved her hands around and red glowing orbs appeared in both of them. The red mist swirled around them as she took a fighting dance.
“Oi,” O’Connor said as he came over. “We have no time for this. The rest of us can give two shits which one of you gains the territory since the White Death will come for it after The Rhino is killed.”
“Yes and we aren’t daft enough to take on that fucking cunt.” Shaw said.
“And we don’t have the manpower to do it, even if we were.” Russo said.
“So if you two are so hell bent on gaining that territory, let the lass and laddie both go after the Rhino.” O’Connor said. Nikolai and Cyrus both turned to him. “Whichever one of them kills him first, their father gains the territory. Aye?"
They turned back to each other. “Fine.” They said together.
“Once my daughter kills The Rhino,” Cyrus said, with a grin. “I’ll gain the territory.”
“You would but it will be my son,” Nikolai said and he grinned. “That will kill him first.”
“We’ll see.” Cyrus said. “How about we make things more interesting for our children?”
“How so?” Nikolai said
“My daughter will send these bodies back to The Rhino to let him know we are coming for him.” Cyrus said. “He’ll post more men and they’ll have to fight to get to The Rhino.”
“My son does enjoy a good fight.” Nikolai said, smiling. “We will have them meet at midnight outside the gates of the mansion and they can go inside together. And whoever kills The Rhino, their father gains the territory.” He put his hand out. “Do we have a deal Northman?"
“We do, Kravinoff.” Cyrus said, shaking his hand.
“May the best man win.” Nikolai said
“More like the best woman.” Cyrus said, letting his hand go. “Sweetie, send the bodies back would you?”
She got out of her fighting stance and so did Sergei. She used her magic to make red mist appear around the man that was on ground. He disappeared and they started heading outside of the warehouse. One by one The Rhino’s men disappeared.
Rhino’s Mansion:
And one by one the men started to reappear in the air above the mansion. They started to fall right in front of the mansion, with a loud thud. The Rhino came out onto his balcony with some of his men and they looked over the side. They saw the dismembered bodies formed a message.
“Our turn,” The Rhino said, smiling. “Cute.” He turned to his men. “Call everyone, they're coming.”
Outside Of Warehouse:
The mist around her hands disappeared but her eyes stayed red. “Now that’s done.” Cyrus said and he turned to the others. “I don’t know about you gentlemen but we’re going to get some lunch.” He turned around and headed to his SUV. “Come along sweetie, let’s go get some cheeseburgers and fries.”
“No veggies.” Melinda said. She hurried to his side. “I hate veggies.
He chuckled. “Yes, I remember,” Cyrus said, smiling as they got into the SUV and drove off.
“Good luck laddie,” O’Connor said as the other headed to their car. “You're going to need it.”
“My money is on the witch.” Russo said.
“Aye.” O’Connor said and they drove off.
“Don’t listen to those twats,” Shaw said. “My money is on you bruv, so don’t muck up.” He drove off.
“So much for making Northman your alley,” Sergei said.
“What’s a little disagreement between friends?” Nikolai said. He chuckled and Sergei rolled his eyes. “Plus I have another way to make him my alley.”
“And what way would that be?” Sergei said.
“You’ll see soon enough.” Nikolai said as he headed to the car.
“Why do I have the feeling I’m not going to like his way?” Sergei said. He took a deep breath through his nose taking in the lurking sweet aroma. “Hmm, I wonder what you look like under that mask of yours little witch.” He grinned. “Bet you look as beautiful as you smell.” He started heading to the car. “I’ll find out soon enough."

One day he rescues her and they make passionate consensual love to one another after super tense moment from almost dying. Ives is super dom but loving in bed. Ty!
So sorry about the wait! I'm writing my thesis right now and it's kicking my ass ngl. I'm also not that familiar with Ives' tone of voice, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless <3
Safe With You (part 1)
Soft dom!Ives x (virgin) f!reader
Theme: tension, husband/wife act (explicit)
Warnings: protected sex, praise, swearing, hint of possession.
Word count: ~2K
Two weeks ago, if someone had told you that you’d be traveling back in time with Ives, you would’ve laughed in their face. If they’d gone on to say he’d be assigned to protect you? You would've laughed even harder. And yet here you are, having to pretend to be his wife. It’s the only way for you to stay off the radar. To stay safe. Ever since the science behind time travel had leaked, people needed someone to blame. Your work as a scientist cannot be mentioned. Many people are after the ones responsible, and your name sits uncomfortably high on that list. Your existence alone is reason enough for Ives to be glued to your side. So now you’re here, in the past with Ives, your so-called husband, keeping you hidden in plain sight.
You and Ives barely spoke before, but getting to know him has been rather unexpected. He’s not nearly as broody as you thought he'd be. But then again, it was difficult to spot the difference between his act as your husband and as himself. You still can’t decide if pretending to be his wife is the best or worst thing that’s happened to you. Every introduction as his wife sends a thrill through you, followed by the lingering disappointment that none of it is real.
A sharp gunshot rips you from your thoughts, sand kicking up where the bullet hits. Shouting erupts, followed by more shooting. You feel a pair of hands yank you backward by your waist, pulling you down and behind a shed. "Stay here. Don't move a muscle until I come back," Ives orders, already turning away with a rifle in hand. Your breathing stutters. This shouldn’t be happening. The leak, the fallout, none of it has happened yet. Something is wrong. It's then when you hear a set of footsteps come closer. You think it's Ives, leaning out just enough to check. A masked figure raises a rifle and fires. The shot barely misses you. You scramble back, heart hammering, your eyes searching for another place to hide. The footsteps come quicker, louder, until they come to an abrupt stop. A gunshot cracks through the air, followed by a heavy thud. You open your eyes and see Ives with an outstretched hand in front of you. "Come with me." You hesitate, then take his hand. He pulls you to your feet and doesn’t let go.
"Somebody talked," he mutters as you walk side by side. "Information got leaked. You're being targeted. I handled it, for now. But we should stay hidden until it's safe to return." His eyes scan the area, his hand firm at your waist, steady and protective. Maybe a little more than that. You feel the warmth of his hand through your shirt, something stirring in your chest. Adrenaline, you tell yourself. Ives drives you both to a small safehouse further down outside the city. Inside looks decent; tidy, clean for the most part, surprisingly comfortable. You finally find the nerve to look at him after everything. The air between you feels charged. Ives steps closer. "You alright? You look a little pale." His gaze locks on yours. He seems almost hesitant as he slowly lifts his hand to brush a strand of hair from your face. His expression on the verge of concerned. "I'm okay," you manage with a rough voice. He doesn’t buy it. The look he gives you says as much. "Who could've talked?" you ask, suddenly aware of close he is. "Not sure," he answers quietly. But I'll find out." There's something in his eyes. Determination, maybe. It's doing nothing to settle the restless feeling in your stomach. "Let me get you something." He clears his throat and steps away, heading into the kitchen. You follow. Ives pours you a glass of water and hands it to you, your fingers brushing his as you take it. The brief contact sending a shiver up both your spines. "Thanks," you mumble as you raise the glass to your lips. He watches you swallow, his gaze locked on the way your throat moves.
You set your glass down on the counter. "And… thank you. For saving me." Your eyes flick between his, searching. His breathing is a little uneven, his pupils blown just enough to betray his feelings. Before you can think too much about it, you’re backed against the counter, his hands braced on either side of you. He leans in, stopping just short of your lips. He waits, giving you the choice. Your eyes scan his features up close one last time before you make the decision, pressing your lips onto his. The kiss is soft at first, testing, but it deepens quickly. His hand comes up to cup your cheek, steadying you as his lips move against yours. His tongue brushes over your lower lip to seek entrance in your mouth. You part your lips, letting him in. Ives presses closer against you, his body now flush against yours. Your breath catches as the heat between you grows. “Ives…” you murmur, pulling back just enough to breathe. He doesn’t stop. His lips trail along your jaw, down to your neck, peppering kisses over the soft skin. A stark contrast to the roughness of his beard against it. “Mm?” he hums against you. "Ives, I…I-" you stammer, your words tangling. He hears the hesitation in your voice, feels the way your body tenses beneath his hands and pulls back to look at you. "We don't have to do anything if you don't want to." You can tell by the way he looks at you he means every word. You shake your head "I do. It's just that I don't really have a lot of experience," you finally manage to get out. "Or any, actually," you add softly. His gaze doesn’t waver, even when yours does. "Sweetheart," he starts, tilting your chin with his thumb to make you look at him. "Do you want this?" he scans your expression for a hint of doubt, but finds none. "We can go slow," he adds.
A soft smile appears on your face as he assures you. "Yeah." Ives leans in to kiss you, his hands moving to rest on your hips. The kiss start slow again, building gradually into something more heated. He doesn't rush you. Doesn't move anything along until he feels the desire rising in your body. Your hands grab at his clothes with feverish need. A soft sound leaves your lips as the kiss turns more desperate. That's when he scoops you effortlessly off the ground and strides to one of the bedrooms. He places you down gently and blankets you with himself. "Tell me you want this." He grabs your jaw between his fingers, his pupils blown dark with desire. He wants you, but needs your consent more. "I want this," you breathe. He gives a small grunt in contentment as he places one more rough kiss to your lips before slowly roaming his hands over the edges of your clothes. "Can I?" He places a kiss into your neck as he slides his hand under the hem of your shirt. He feels you nod against him, then pulls it over your head, tossing it somewhere behind him. Your pants are next. He helps you undress until you're in nothing but lingerie. Ives is quick to discard himself of his clothes until he's left in a pair of black snug boxer briefs. He crawls back over you. "Still with me, darling?" his voice comes rough, barely restraining himself. You impatiently tug on the hem of his boxers, not even sure what exactly you're asking for at this point. A dark chuckle leaves his lips before he pulls back to take them off. Your eyes widen slightly. He cups your face to shift your focus. "I'll be gentle, darling," he murmurs before pressing a soft kiss to the corner of your mouth. You hum and lean into his touch. Ives starts kissing down your body, his hands following suit. His fingers skillfully unclasp your bra, freeing you of the fabric. His mouth trails lower at the same time. "Lift your hips for me." His eyes meet yours. When you do, he slides your panties off. "Jesus christ you're stunning." A rough hand squeezes your thigh before he reaches in his jeanspocket on the floor, searching for a condom.
You watch him roll the protection on and settle back on top of you. "Ready, love?" He doesn't miss your little nervous swallow as he lines himself up with you. "Eyes on me," his voice dips an octave. "Just relax. Let me make you feel good." His hips press forward as he speaks, slowly stretching you inch by inch. You let out a soft groan, sucking in a breath, which he immediately corrects. "Breathe for me, breathe, darling. It's okay," he soothes as he finally bottoms out. He gives you time to adjust, peppering more sweet kisses along your jaw to relax you further. "That's it. You're doing so well," he praises, catching your lips with his. Only when he feels your hips start to shift beneath him for more, he slowly begins to rock into you. Your soft moans are swallowed by his mouth on yours. Both your sounds mingling together. "Oh f-fuck- god- you feel so good," he breathes out, his body taut above you. "Darling," he moans as his forehead rests on your shoulder. Your nails dig into his muscular back as he makes you feel everything at once. The full feeling overwhelming you in the best way possible. Your body clenches around him, pulling a rough grunt from him. You moan his name when he can't help but speed up a little. "You're gorgeous," he pants above you, meeting your lips again in another desperate, passionate kiss. You let out a soft moan into his mouth, clinging to him as he covers you almost completely. His arms braced beside your head, his hands resting on the top of your head to cage you in under him, almost as if he wants to keep you from going anywhere. "You're mine, aren't you?" he looks down at you, his body still rocking deliciously into yours. Your broken little whimper mixed with you nodding up at him is enough to tip him over the edge. He buries his face into your neck once more, snarling a rough curse before coming undone with a broken moan. He rides out his high with slow rolls of his hips before stilling completely. He pants when he finally lifts his head, checking you for any sign of discomfort. You press a kiss to his arm, almost as if you could read the concern in his mind. He shifts, still inside you, but making room to touch you where you oh-so desperately need it. "Let me help you, sweetheart." Ives absolutely relishes in the way you moan and gasp beneath his touch. Knowing it's him that makes you feel like this. That you're his. He reads your body like it's an open book. Finding a pace and rhythm that makes you twitch and moan. He can feel every muscle pull tight when you're about to tip over the edge. "Go on, go on. I've got you. You’re safe with me. Let go,” he coaxes, biting his lower lip as he watches you unravel. Your fingers dig into his bicep of the arm he's working you with as you come undone, letting out a final, shuddering moan. Your walls flutter around him as he helps you ride out your high. "That's it," he praises, dragging the words out. "Ives," you whimper softly, once again, not even sure what you're asking for.
He leans in to press a soft kiss to your lips. "You did so well," he smiles. "My girl." His forehead presses to yours, putting some more of his weight down on you to hold you close. "Feeling okay?" he asks softly. You close your eyes, your arms wrapped around the strong man on top of you. "More than okay," you smile softly. Everything seems to shrink down to the two of you. The noises in your head finally quiet for once. What mattered was your safety. And right now? You can't think of anyone other than Ives you feel safest with.
