Mason had bought a bag of chips and sat down in one of the empty booths at the pub where he was cooped inside of for the raging storm. “This is a pretty bad storm, but things can be a lot worse than they are,” he said, leaning back in the booth and opening up the bag of chips. “Also, these chips look good. Want one?”

Senja was singing softly, rocking her sobbing daughter as the storm raged outside. The little girl had one arm wrapped around her mother and another wrapped around her favorite teddy bear. She’d never experienced a storm like this. Senja didn’t blame her for being scared, but she was starting to feel helpless. She saw someone cast a glance their way and she mouthed an apology to them as she continued to attempt to calm down her daughter.

Valentina was curing herself right now, why did she decide to leave her home today? Why couldn’t she have just stayed in her big house by herself and lock herself in for the storm? She was going to get something to eat around Inman park when the storm hit, and she was rushed into the Firehouse. Her fear of storms and the amount of people shoved into the smaller space was overwhelming for her, so she moved to go sit down in a corner as far away from most of the people as she could find. Her breathing fastened, and she pulled out her phone that was now on a measly fifty-percent. Her fingers flew, texting the ones she cared about to see where they were. “I-I can’t do this,”

“Dammit, where is it?” Alexandria said frustrated, digging through her bag for her phone charger. She’d come to the station after a long day at work and hadn’t had time to charge her phone. It was nearly dead already, and she needed it in case her brother tried to contact her. Alix was scared that something had happened to him, since he hadn’t replied yet. She let out a soft sigh. “As if things couldn’t get worse.”

“Honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen a storm this bad in my life...” Elliot said as he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He was stuck in Union Station with other people and he was happy that some of his friends were there too. He just wanted to be home and in bed reading a good book or watching a lame movie but the weather called for something else. “How are you doing with this storm?” He asked, looking at the person beside him.

“Ha!” Daniel said with a grin. He’d found the extra Amtrak blankets in a closet and he grabbed a stack. The man made his way back to the main part of the station with them in his arms and started to hand them out. “It’s not necessarily cold, but this might be a little more comforting.”

The last 24 hours had been an absolute roller coaster. Annabelle hadn’t had anything to eat, had run into her ex boyfriend- the only man she ever loved who hated her now, was dealing with her anxiety with the storm, and on top of all of that, she had so much anger bubbling up in her stomach at finding out Colt had cheated on her little sister. Needless to say, when the blonde stumbled upon the station’s secret stash of alcohol while walking around with Casey, it was a needed relief. “I’ve never been so happy to see a bottle of whiskey in my life.” She said with a laugh, grabbing the bottle off the shelf and opening it up. “You want a sip, darlin’? I don’t mind sharin’.”
