Looking for Contributors

I am looking for people who want to contribute ATLA and Korra posts to this blog.  I’m the only person maintaining it now and I feel like a miss a lot of stuff like news and shipping week events.

Our mission is to promote the Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra fandom and bring attention to its content creators.

What do we reblog (but don’t repost) to @atlafans ? ATLA / Korra news Cast & crew interviews Fic/art reblogs. Meta/Discussion reblogs ATLA / Korra meta reblogs (No reposts) Posts about upcoming ATLA/Korra fandom related events such as con meetups or panels Posts regarding ATLA/Korra related fan projects and events like comics, podcasts, shipping weeks, etc... ATLA/Korra cosplay?  Reblog! Funny ATLA/Korra meme?  Reblog! Badass ATLA/Korra HeadCanon? Reblog! ATLA/Korra related gif sets, moodboards, and image dumps? Reblog!

You get the idea.

What we do not reblog on @atlafans Wank & Discourse of any kind, including wank relating to ATLA and Korra.  There are too many good things happening for the blog to become bogged down in negativity about how “problematic” someone’s fandom likes are. Political/social posts Personal posts Reblogs asking for money Reblogs of content relating to ANY other fandom, crossovers with ATLA/Korra being the exception

Ya know...anything that isn’t related to ATLA or Korra.

When reblogging, please check the first few posts to make sure your reblog hasn’t been recently posted.

Tagging: Please tag responsibly so people can find things when searching the blog.  If you’re reblogging fic, make sure to throw in a ‘fic’ tag.  If you’re reblogging Azula art, tag with her name and so on...  I personally hate tagging and there are a lot of posts I reblog to my own blog that I don’t bother to tag because I don’t care.  But we’re trying to build a sort-of database for ATLA and Korra fandom and the only good way to do that is via the tagging system.

I don’t remember what the cutoff number is for when Tumblr’s indexing algorithm stops paying attention.  But let’s just say it’s 5 because that’s a nice round number.  So, when tagging your reblog on @atlafans , please make the first 5 tags count so we can get some visibility in Tumblr’s dumb search.  Then, if you want to use the tagging system to write a ten-page essay about the post you’re about to reblog, be my guest.
