Shake Off 2017, Welcome 2018

If we thought that 2016 was insane, 2017 said ‘Hold My Beer’. Shake off all the negativity and join friends in welcoming the new year! New Year’s Eve represents goodbye to the old and hello to the new. 2018 will bring new ideas, new goals, new adventures, and 12 month to have fun in our fair city. Here’s where to celebrate around town, see you next year!

Peach Drop - Woodruff Park (Downtown) 7pm. FREE! After the sale of Underground this year, the event which attracts more than 100k party goers will be relocated to Woodruff Park. Atlanta’s version of the NYC ball drop - the Peach Drop is a fun way to welcome the new year in town.

New Year’s Eve Shizzazzle at Dad’s Garage (04W). 7pm/10pm. $35+. Laugh your way into the new year with a show featuring the best sketches, songs, and improv teams of 2017. Free glass of champagne with every ticket! Tickets sell out fast - two shows to choose from!

Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics at Venkman’s (O4W) 10:30pm - 1am. $20+. Enjoy a great live music show that showcases raw funk and Stax-style Southern soul with a tasty menu. Go all out and reserve the ‘Captain’s Room’ for a VIP experience that includes champagne and eats. General admission ticket does not guarantee a seat/table. 

Michelle Malone at Eddie’s Attic (Decatur) 7:30pm/10pm. $30+. Live music show, a great alternative to hotel parties! 10pm show features special guests Christopher Alan Yates and Adelaide Tai.

Park Tavern - NYE with Yacht Rock Revue! (Midtown). 9pm - 2am. $125+.VIP $200. All-inclusive event includes drinks and food, rock into 2018 with the Kings of Smooth - Yacht Rock Revue! Ticket includes s’mores experience, midnight buffet, sushi from Hawaii, and a midnight champagne toast!

Studio 54 OM at Osteria Mattone (Roswell). 8:30pm. $59+. Boogie into 2018 with a delicious buffet dinner, groovy drinks and midnight wine toast with OM Somm Daniel Pernice. Costume contest, and more - can you dig it? 

NYE at The Mercury (Ponce City Market) - 9pm. $35+. Enjoy a Winter Wonderland party with the team behind The Pinewood for live DJ music, photo booth, food and drink specials, passed apps, and a complimentary glass of champagne. Upgrade to $75pp, which includes a 3-course dinner, along with party entrance.

NYE at Opera (Midtown) 8:30pm - 3am. $5+. With the theme of “Fire and Ice”, party with the beautiful people and enjoy a Premium open bar, gourmet dinner buffet, confetti cannons, balloon drops, champagne showers, multiple environments, a plethora of incredible DJs and jaw-dropping fire & ice elements.

NYE Ball at STK Atlanta (Midtown). 9pm. $75+. Chef’s selection of dishes, Premium Open Bar from 9pm to Midnight. Live DJ, champagne toast and NYE countdown. Dress up and party down!

NYE at Topgolf (Midtown) 9pm - 1am. $225+. All gold celebration! Reserve a bay and celebrate 2018 with friends/family and enjoy music, unlimited gameplay and party favors. Food/drinks available for purchase.

Dining Out: Not one to brave the crowds, but are looking for a great ATL experience? There are a ton of local restaurants offering up special menus for that night. You’ll see lots of prix fixe options, but there are still great a la carte menus out there as well with great dishes.
