What is particularly devistating to me about Aofie saying “Talia, I’m not good at the whole feelings bullshit, but thanks“ as she sent Talia out on the escape pod is that she planned for those to be her last words to them. She planned to go into the portal and die, and even though that plan didn’t work those still ended up kind of being her last words to her.
Because she didn’t respond to Talia’s panicked “you’re not down there! You’re not down there?” when Talia’s pod reconnected. And after when they were both on the top of the ocean and Talia got out of her pod climbed onto Aofie’s and smiled at her- she closed it, ignoring them. And then, when they all got back she went missing, without a word, without saying a goodbye.
The warrior princess, a war dog at heart lost without a purpose or a word when her final victory, her final moment, was taken from her.

Talia and Aofie have that ‘I don’t care if you hate me after I need you alive’ dynamic and it hurt me personally
Guys I am so close to writing one or several Talia and Aofie fics I have many thoughts- they’ve taken over my mind
