there's always highschool michael, & every time he walks past u in the halls he finds a way to grab ur hand and twirl u round like ur dancing, but while that can be inconvenient he never once misses a chance to sing a line or two of a song at u, huge grin & eyes twinkling bc this is ridiculous & cheesy but he means it & he just wants to make u smile even if that means embarrassing himself by singing "when u smile I melt inside I'm not worthy for a minute of ur time" in the middle of the corridor

but then one day when he goes to grab your hand, you yank it back saying “im not in the mood, michael.” and he’s hurt and confused until he sees your wet cheeks and sad eyes and its like his heart breaks and his body is moving without his control and he’s wrapping you up in the tightest hug he’s ever given, his hand holding your head to his chest, trying in anyway, shape, or form to make you feel safe and not sad bc this was the first time he’d ever seen you cry and he already knew he never wanted to see it again
