18: upside-down kiss

    Most of his enemies knew Xigbar could manipulate space, so a few gravity defying moves weren't special. Flipping upside down and shooting his Arrowguns was no new trick to Sora and co. However, while he usually kept it to combat...He couldn't help but use it elsewhere for fun.

    "X-Xiggy, p-please get down..." Rix frowned at him from below, watching him just sorta hover there; upside-down no less. "It's not safe."     "Acting like you're not impressed? As if." He gave a low chuckle, "C'mon, Rixxy, I'm fine. I do this all the time, and in waaay more life-threatening situations."     "B-but what's the point in doing - doing it right now? I-isn't - isn't the blood going to rush to your h-head?"     "Nah. See, since gravity isn't affectin' me, it doesn't affect my blood flow either."     Rix blinked. "T-that's amazing..."     "Yeah, yeah, see? Told you." He was just showing off, wasn't he? Rix huffed, and Xigbar laughed. "Aw, someone's getting cranky."     Apparently ignoring him now, Rix looked around the room. Xigbar blinked as he watched them walk towards a chair... "Hey, talk about being careful - don't hurt yourself."     "H-how sweet of you to care."    "Thanks." He grinned....But that grin turned down as they positioned the chair in front of where he was floating. "What are y-"    Rix reached up as they stepped onto the chair, and grabbed his wrist, pulling him down - and kissed, lips facing vertically opposite. Immediately, Xigbar shut up - and...Was he blushing? Just a little? His eye was wide, apparently having not expected them to be so forward...But...He certainly leaned to kiss back.

Headcanon: Vanica has trouble letting you go when you have to get up in the morning. :3 She clings to you and would never let you get out of bed if she could, because cuddles are just too nice.

this is just a Canon Fact! Vanica is clingy in general and she hates when either of us have to get up of a morning because that means the cuddles end!! Nooo!! Just five more minutes!!!!!

one Fact: i have done some historical research because i’m a complete nerd and the time period of some of the fairy tale revenges maer participates in is almost certainly locked into around 1525, but his own story pre-death suggests he was actually alive in the 1300s due to his being repeatedly associated with the black death (my personal theory being he was likely born in 1340 and around 9 or 10 when it picked up), given there was no major bubonic plague outbreak in the 1520s in germany to my knowledge. some of the OTHER revenges have to do with events closer to his lifetime. so did he wake up like 200 years later? does time just work differently when you’re dead? his clothing is also VERY modern (very costumey, but most remeniscent of the 1800s and the regency style in england iirc) and so are the classical music references attributed to him and the fact that he Conducts an Orchestra with a Baton despite such a thing being incredibly recent.

so tl;dr nothing in his story makes any chronological sense and i think being dead has divorced him from time a bit.

Makoto: Oh, hello! I wasn’t expecting to be addressed first, I’ll be honest...

Makoto: Well, there could be two considerations for what could be classified as our first meeting, so I’ll list both of my thoughts.

Makoto: When I just saw various flashes of her clothes from the corner of my eye, I was concerned about someone following us... but for when I actually talked with her in her house after she recovered from awakening her persona, my first thought was... she was a nervous, but refreshing person to talk to.
