As mentioned in-game, they're kinda chilly! ❄️So the sensation will probably be similar to a menthol cigarette/vape, with a hint of cinnamon or saffron. The kind of flavor that gets stuck in your throat if you inhale it wrong.

i have a slightly strange (??) question for you. what time do Mychael, Vida, and Atom usually wake up and go to sleep? (i would ask about Alma too, but since they're a ghost... i'm not sure if they even sleep at all lol) do they have like... a set schedule/routine?
I love strange questions omg don't even worry about it! Considering they all have vastly different lives (and biologies), I can try and describe their daily routines somehow! It gets long under the cut, but TLDR;
Mychael stays up from 5AM to 11PM,
Vida stays up from 9AM to 2AM, though this differs during college,
and finally Alma and Atom are sleepless beings.

🍄 Mychael 🕔
He wakes up at 5AM, sometimes earlier, and goes to bed usually by 11PM, or at most, 12AM if he's particularly invested in a project he's working on. He tries not to sleep too late since he hates waking up later than he's used to.
His daily routine would be tending to his garden and chickens, going on patrols, hunting/fishing/foraging (if needed) and when supplies are low, he goes to a random town he deems safe to 'pick up' groceries and other things he might need.
In the evenings he stays inside doing some reading or knitting to relax.
🐕 Vida 🕘
Vida has a more flexible schedule in comparison. They would (usually) be awake by 9AM and go to bed at 1-2AM.
When they don't have classes they'll usually be lounging at home, watching movies or doing personal research for fun. When the weather feels nice they take Laika out for walks during the evenings!
When they do have classes their schedule is even more sporadic, as any college student's is hahaha.
👻 Alma ⌛
They don't need to sleep, but they do have a routine they have a tendency to follow.
Their favorite times to wander around campus is during midday lunch breaks and afternoon classes, since that's when ambient chatter is at its peak. They'd stop by the library, lecture halls, offices, etc,,, lurking around and seeing what other people are up to. Just anything to occupy their attention for the day.
They used to hate the night time since that's when the building is quietest, but after the events of the game, they look forward to it since that's usually when you're free to hang out!
Otherwise, they'd linger by hallways and stairways, passing through floor to floor for any sign of trouble.
👽 Atom ⌛
Similar to Alma, Atom doesn't need sleep. In fact, they refuse to!
It wants to be awake when Luna is, and even when you're not, that's the best time to watch you sleep hahaha.
Its schedule depends on Luna's circadian rhythm, so if you're a morning person it would already be at your feet as soon as you wake up, offering breakfast and activities for the day.
If you like to sleep in, it'll keep itself busy maintaining the ship's systems, repairing anything faulty, recycling the air and overall making sure its in tiptop shape without disturbing your slumber.

I got a question about atom, how would he feel if us the player already had a pet? I am in the process of getting a pet tarantula and im curious if atom would like it or liquify it, after all he himself offers to "make" us our favorite animal, I have remained with the curiousity of what they would do if we just went "Nah, im good, I already have a pet"

TLDR; starts with jealousy at first, before Atom realizes it likes watching you dote on your pet.

If Luna had a pet, Atom would definitely have mixed feelings at first. All it wants is your full attention, and this... creature is just getting in the way.
Since your pet is obviously a source of happiness and comfort for you, they won't bring harm to it. Atom has never known animals to be malicious anyway, but how is it supposed to deal with you looking away from it any time your pet calls for your affection?
Eventually they figured out a plan to volunteer taking care of your pet rather than brood about it. Not only does it get to do something for you, it also takes care of the problem itself!
It'd automate toys if it's a dog or cat for example, and take care of feeding times for you so you wouldn't have to check in on it so often. By taking away the chore of handling your pet for you, you'd be more available to Atom!
Or so it thinks.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You can't really separate an owner from their pet and think it's easy.
I think the happy ending here is Atom realizing it gets to witness your kindness regardless of who or what it is and ends up just enjoying the sight of you cooing at your beloved pet and living vicariously through it that way.
The adoration it feels just to see you smile overpowers everything else, if that makes sense!

What would the casts be if they were an animal?
I like the interpretation of them having their own animal that sorta represents them, it would be neat to draw them as half animal that represents them sometimes (like hmm fox ears pops up when a character is being cheeky) for sillies <3
Oh, a fox fits Mychael pretty well actually! I can imagine him with pointed fox ears and a big bushy tail riddled with sticks and leaves haha! They're also kinda sneaky and skittish, aren't they?🍄
For Alma/Vida, I immediately think of a dog, but specifically a breed like a Great Dane, big ol' gentle giants with a lot of affection and loyalty for those special to them!👻
For Atom, smaller and a little chaotic, maybe a wiggly ferret! Bouncy, energetic, full of surprises and has a high chance of getting stuck in the walls /j👽
