etsy zine review: green ghost by ellen chao
"green ghost" is a beautiful hand drawn zine about a ghost and houseplants; I admire the pleasing composition and details on every page, and I love the hand drawn texture. The zine came packaged with a plant doodle and I found it thoughtful :)

etsy zine review: Guerrilla Gardening by lastwordpress
"Guerrilla Gardening" is a complex 36 page zine about growing your own food in order to achieve freedom from large corporations. It aims to get readers to question the ethics of industrial agriculture. The zine contains a variety of articles and poems about a common theme, connected by well-selected drawings and photos. Overall, I found it insightful and well put together, and surprisingly easy to read for such a small size!
etsy zine review: Paper Garden by wormyorchidsart
this is the most gorgeous zine I’ve ever seen 😭 this isn’t shown in my photos, but “Paper Garden” is printed on both sides, one being a collage design (green) and the other being drawings (purple)! I find the contrasting color palettes and designs very appealing :)
while the zine doesn’t contain any writing, it still tells a story through its playful visuals and thoughtful arrangement. I enjoyed each page’s composition and found it very calming to look at.
This was also sent with extra stickers that I really appreciated!!

etsy zine review: Trinkets by karinahagelin
“Trinkets” is an adorable mini zine containing playful designs and bright colors; it contains photos and descriptions of the author’s trinket collection. I found the topic of the zine very sweet and appreciated the author’s ability to share a charming glimpse of something meaningful to them!
the zine also arrived adorably packaged in a pink envelope, with stickers and a letter :)

some of my art inspirations right now
museum exhibit - tender loving care, MFA boston in 2023-25
https://www.mfa.org/exhibition/tender-loving-care
neon underpainting like this above painting!!!! i use it so much!
there were so many pieces in this exhibition with such unique compositions and colors. including colors, sculptures, etc. the webpage does NOT do it justice
idk I loved the attitude and overall theme of this exhibit because it was so comforting
clothing brand - UNIF
i love this brand so much when it comes to the different designs and colors and overall vibe - it is just effortlessly artsy and there are so many unique details
I'm not sure if the duality of the darker / edgier clothing and the clothing on their site with more fun colors was intentional, but i like that they cater to both
they inspired me to look to 90s brands / designs for fashion inspo
these Seventeen magazine pages
i have referenced SO many poses from these.
this is great OC inspiration i can't even explain it. so me. the personality captured in these photos is immaculate
Artist - Hannah Lock Art
this colored pencil style & the vibrant colors are just BEAUTIFULLLLLLLL
i love the messy quality to this style and it's something that i'd really love to try to do myself
the art style is very sweet but i love how it can be used for both pet portraits and to capture societal issues (like her news article drawings)????
