About your doctor who post. (Now I'm sorry if someone's said the exact same thing) 1. The whole River song thing confused me as much as it did you. 2. In the 'Doctors Daughter' episode, she wasn't his REAL daughter only a sort of clone like one, so he didn't feel the need to save her. 4. It's only if your past self touches your present self that the universe implodes. (an episode with Rose giant creatures come.) 5, The angels kept them there. 6. It'd be like saying goodby again. Oh wow, well I didn't actually write the post this is about (link here) But I agreed with all the points in it and would definitely enjoy discussing it.
Well okay maybe I'm not that confused with the River thing just because my dad and I discussed this. We both came to agreement that the Doctor and River's time lines aren't totally in reverse or else they would never understand each other. This episode was one of the points where they aren't in reverse.
I 100% disagree with you about the Doctor's daughter. The tenth doctor had the character flaw that he cared too much about nearly everything. He couldn't help it but because of it he tried to keep people away. The thing is once he let them in it would be too late and he cared about them more than he hated himself (and he hated himself a lot)). He had already lost all of his children and family and he did not want to let Jenny in but once he did she got so far into his heart. She was his real daughter and he did feel the need to save her. Because this...This is caring about his daughter...My personal issue with the Doctor using his "regeneration powers" on River's wrist is that it goes against everything we have ever learned about the regeneration process, which is that it's a biological function that only happens when a Time Lord is mortally wounded. Neither the Doctor nor River were mortally wounded in that scene.
I have no complaints with Three as well.
I just think that it doesn't make sense, having three of them in the same period. Especially in the first episode with the Silurian where we see future Amy and Rory waving to present/past Amy and Rory and how can that happen if they're stuck in the 30's.
How did the angels keep them there? If the paradox destroyed all of the angels (other than the one that sent them back to the thirties) then how would they keep them there?
Why would it have to be like saying goodbye again? He could get three vortex manipulators, one for him, one for Amy, and one for Rory and take them back to the twenty first century. Or he could land that TARDIS in New Jersey and take that train to get them and then take them back to the 21st century. I think it is very lazy writing that they got to live happily ever after but still die when there are so many ways that they could have ended up with the Doctor again.
