russian fandoms are something to be avoided at any cost. and p much any sort of russian internet community by extension. it is impossibly to have any reasonable conversation, be it poetry self-pulishing thing or porn community.

YOU KNOW NEITHER HAVE I!! i’ve got used to less-bigoted fandom peeps & was foolish enough to think there are some outside of my dash lol)) (one of the first comments in that goddamn discussion was along the lines of ‘oh this one’s got tumblr-syndrome’ (it’s not like i didn’t appreciate the wordplay, for the term this person used to depict me/things i do consisted of the parts of the words ‘tumblr’ + ‘tolerance’ + ‘sodomy’, russian language works good for tricks like this)) & i was like WELL YEAH

Not in your current fandom so no fic suggestions, but sometimes a break from fandom is the best thing to do. :-(

ahh idk, it kinda feels like my country’s got the worst part of it & i LITERALLY had never seen a negativity of this sort on tumblr. sounds funny i know, but in my experience this forsaken blue site naver had been so toxic, no matter what i’ve heard from others. maaaybe it was my mistake to even coming there or trying to have a logical discussion afterwards.. maybe it’d be wiser to reply on every nasty shit comment with a stock photo of mayonnaise.. it was simply surreal to be pointed out what my headfanon depictions are “oh so against canon” by people who do MANY THINGS against canon. i mean none of them gives a damn what would tolkien say about their ships, but suddenly they KNOW what he’d say about the color of characters’ skin ffs. i mean it’s kinda hypocritical, isn’t it? any work of art can be changed & adapted to the viewer/fan’s needs/beliefs/hcs, that’s the point of fandom & the point of creating fanworks, right?? *siiigh* w/e why do i even bother 

idk i want i really want to play in this fandom for a bit longer but rn any though about making anything for it makes me nauseous, maybe you’re right & i need a break

what would you want to talk to tolkien about? or ask him?

- ask him why culture/industry/scientific lvl of middle-earth so little progressed through the eras (wasit all morgoth’s doing (or sau’s in case of numenor) or the civilizations were spontaneously having a lil dark age once in a while). like i may be wrong but ????

- female characters (thank him really for luthien & eowyn; ask what he thinks about pj’s additions)

- ask about his opinion of the fan-base (i know it’s a dick move but i’m always curious about it)

or idk. i’d be completely alright if i’d just listen to him talk about mythology & languages cause tolkien was a huge nerd & anyway it’d be a great experience
