Voice assistants in cars aren’t new, but the Kia EV3 shows a growing trend among automakers to integrate generative AI. The Kia EV3 will feature a voice assistant based on ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI and customized by Kia. Pablo Martinez, Kia’s head of customer experience design, noted that while the large language model behind the assistant is from OpenAI, it has been significantly modified by Kia.
