the fact that scientists took a photo of an object that literally eats light and therefore cannot be seen or photographed is astonishing.

so what if its blurry, they used amazing computers and amazing brains in order to find heat and stuff surrounding the hole and used that to indirectly see the invisible object.

Computational Modelling of Star/Disk Systems

Star/Disk systems are typical mechanisms for star formation in the universe. The general understanding of protostellar formation is evolving. Previous research models a typical system as a rotating disk around a central point mass, in which the evolution becomes dependent on instabilities that arise in the density configuration of the disk. Our project refines this research by replacing the central point mass with a resolved star. We remotely access the ACISS supercomputing cluster at the University of Oregon to run models with varying non-spherical, differentially rotating central objects. We then consider how the internal structure of the star gravitationally couples to the density structure of the of the disk and affects its evolution.

This older guy who had lost most of his eyesight came to my work today.

He was so awesome. Somehow we got on the subject of school. I told him that I was going to be leaving next fall to study astrophysics.  He had gone to school for quantum physics for 8 years. And then he quizzed me and I kicked ass. It was awesome. And he was sad that I'm leaving since he was thinking about buying the place.
