I'm sorry this took a bit to answer, it's been sitting in my inbox for hours, but my best friend had actually drawn it and I wanted their permission before sharing it.

And then they decided "this is not postable, hold on", and proceeded to draw him again, from scratch.

This chapter hasn't been up for even an hour, wow.

On the actual headcanon though, the thing was baking.

Which, granted, is not a weird activity. Unless you are a god of war and death. Then it's a little weird.

It was during the war, and actually it was Time's birthday, and they'd gotten out of a fight earlier and FD had figured out this was his host's birthday. (Does Time know when his birthday is? Idk. How does FD know if Time doesn't? Idk, god powers?)

So FD asks what mortals do for birthdays. Someone suggested cake.

About an hour later Warriors walks into the kitchen of the outpost they were stationed at that day to find Lana and Fi carefully talking the Termanian god of War and Death through mixing a cake together while Agitha and Ruto argued about what colour the icing should be. They hadn't gotten to the icing yet. FD is in an apron that didn't fit, nor do anything it was supposed to really because FD is huge and it was a normal sized apron, and there's flour on his face and in his hair. There's flour on the girls too.

Warriors just sort of blinked, looked it all over a few times, and then walked out and decided he'd just eat rations. He wasn't going to touch that scene.

The cake turned out pretty well, all things considered. Really messy, but it was edible and so everyone counted it as a win.

Hello there! I know it's barely crumbs of this Bugster Roommate AU but I've been just reading it all up again and again! I've recently been on a Kamen Rider/Super Sentai binge and came across this AU. Ex-Aid holds a special part of my heart and it's interesting to think of 'What if Parad was with Emu from the start?' A lot would change, and some things may not come to pass. Like Parad giving Emu the Double Mighty X Gashat, Kuroto's and Parad's partnership wouldn't exist (along with Graphite)

I love this AU to bits now, just imagining what would change and what would happen if Parad wasn't in the picture for Bugster side (This in AU, I like to think this Emu and Parad is on their own side, aside from the CR and Bugsters, trying to save both Bugsters and Patient) Okay this is a vomit of words, TY for listening and can't wait for more :D (Also, would it be okay for me to write about this AU? Write my own spin or scenarios if my creative block goes away?)

Hi! It took me forever to answer this because every time I reread it to do so I got too excited to be ables to haha.

I'm glad you're liking it! Honestly I think you managed to sum up exactly why I like butterfly-effect AUs in general. Figuring out the ripple effects, making choices around them, figuring out what changes and what stays the same.

I'm actually really excited to share some of the choices I made for the villain half of this AU, it has some very fun implications down the road, and there are some big impacts I didn't expect for the late game arcs (one of which I am very excited to get to. I have ~plans~ for that arc).

And YES! Absolutely you are allowed to write something for this AU! All I ask is proper credit for the idea, and maybe a tag so I can see it if/when it's posted.

I care so much about your hc that black is the Gerudo royal color. Like, it's something that I always assumed after seeing Riju for the first time. And I agree wholeheartedly with it! — @technicallya1manband

Okay, this actually does make me happy because I was pretty sure no one else would ever care that I put way too much thought into what colours mean in LoZ, so this definitely makes me feel better about spending two afternoons building a whole doc with this info.

And yes! Riju definitely brings up that thought, but she's not the only Gerudo ruler who wears black. Urbosa, before she gets her Champion garb, also wears black as her primary colour. Hell, most depictions of Ganondorf also have him wear black. And very few other Gerudo wear black on top of those examples, so it seems like a kinda exclusive colour. (There's also the detail that black traps heat, and so you could maybe draw something from that? Idk, I didn't put thought into that part, but you probably could.)

I would also love to share other thoughts on the Gerudo and colours, but I just checked the doc and this is all I have for them. So, there's that I guess.

You said that you’d accept asks about wild’s backstory, so if you don’t mine me asking, how did wild get his scars? And are the champions alive or dead in your au?

I don't mind at all! I'm happy to talk about it!

First things first, the Champions ARE alive. I, don't exactly know what I'm doing with them yet, but they get to live. I know Mipha is still one of Wild's childhood friends, and I'll come up with some rivalry for Revali, but otherwise I've got a lot of question marks around them still. I'll figure it out when I need to, I've decided.

As to how WIld got his scars, there's a lot more there. Wild's backstory is that before he joined the family he had a twin brother and little sister, who were staying with a friend while his parents took him to something on his own. Maybe a doctor's appointmet or something, the details aren't imortant. What is important is that they got into a car crash on the way back, both parents were killed almost instantly, and Wild suffered a lot of injuries.

Wild was taken to an underground clinic called the Shrine of Ressurection. I, want to add more to this and bring it back later but I haven't gotten those details worked out yet. Point is it's a thing that exists and I'll figure out how to bring it back eventually. Anyways, Wild is treated for his injuries there. He ended up horribly scarred by the accident and the doctors at the Shrine couldn't get them to fade further than they already had. This is also when he lost his memory. It was a result of the accident, yes, but his memories of being at the Shrine are, spotty at best. He considers them more like memories of a dream.

There was probably a sheikah working there who knew Impa and so recognized him, and that's how he knew his name. I don't know why the sheikah didn't fet him home, but that's a plot hole I'll fill when I need to. After he recovered they let him go, back on the streets close to where they found him. It was only maybe a day he was on his own when Twilight found him and brought him home. After that, Time and Malon adopted him into the family and the rest you all know.

Wild does get some of his memories back as time goes on. He encounters Flora at school and she makes it her mission to help him recover his memories. Introduces him to mutual friends, taking him to places they'd been together, etc. She didn't know much about his family, since he didn't talk about them a lot, but she helps where she can. The other Champions do too. He's still very much an amnesiac though.

Twilight Divine Beast epithet? The Ordon, the Twili, the Zonai? I just found your fic a Change in Fate and I am /very/ curious.

This took me a bit to answer because I had to find the text conversation with my friend this came from.

Originally this whole theory started with us talking about phenotypes and genotypes in the Links. This isn't relevant I just find it amusing this was the conversation happening at the time.

At some point in this conversation, my best friend almost randomly asked me "Wait are the zonai descendants of Ordon village?"

Which, made me think.

Firstly, Ordon is in the right place. The Ordona province in Twilight Princess is south of Faron, though by Breath of the Wild that entire area is considered Faron. (I don't know if this was mapmaker making mistakes at one point, or Faron moving in to engulf Ordona. Doesn't really matter either way.) And the Zonai are from Faron, so they're in the right area.

How do the Twili fit in? Well, a lot of people consider the Zonai to be Twili in some way. So, I did some thinking.

Let's assume Twilight and Dusk manage to fix the mirror, and they find a way to let any Twili return to Hyrule and live there without the need of the Twilight covering the area. This isn't a leap, all Zonai = Twili theories require this assumption.

So, with these assumptions, we can naturally assume that at some point after this Midna will have to work with Dusk to set up a small Twili colony in Hyrule. And of all the places to put this colony, I think it'd make the most sense to put it in Ordona. There are only two hylians to ever end up close to a Twili, and that's Dusk and Twilight in regards to their relationship with Midna. Meaning it'd make sense to put the colony next to the home of one of these hylians, since there's a preexisting relationship to help ease the transition. And, putting it near the capitol doesn't make as much sense. Dusk is too busy being queen to act as an ambassador of sorts in the day to day, and I don't think the people of Castle Town would be eager to welcome the Twili. Ordon village, however, was never actually attacked by Twilit monsters, since we save Ordona before her light is stolen, so there's less bad blood there to start with, and Twilight's job means he can spend more time at home building a closer relationship between the cultures.

Furthermore, the Zonai have two notable aspects about their culture revealed in BotW: they were powerful magic users, and they were considered barbarians.

The Twili have a natural talent for powerful magic, but unless they've been turned into monsters they don't seem to be fond of physical fighting. Conversely, the Ordonians are not magically inclined at all, but they are physical fighters, with both swordsman and wrestlers found among them. (Some of them, like Twilight, are both!)

I like to think the Zonai were likely the result of the Twili and Ordonians merging their cultures and intermarrying. It's not as out there as any other theory, anyways.

So, what does this have to do with Twilight's 'Divine Beast' epithet? Well, that's pretty simple.

At the end of Twilight Princess, only a small group of people know Twilight as a Divine Beast. Midna and Twilight, of course, as well as the Sages, since they were there when Midna came clean about everything. I don't know if even Dusk knows about this title. And yet, by BotW it's well known enough to have powerful animal-shaped machines named after him. So, what happened?

I think Midna would have wanted to honour the hylians who helped her save her people, even after everything they lived through. And besides, Midna said her people had a prophecy about a Divine Beast coming to save them. It'd make sense she'd let people know she fought alongside this Divine Beast, and talk about who he is. So, when they made the jump to the colony, most Twili would know the Divine Beast was a Light Dweller and Hero.

This of course would mean the epithet was used more often, and would have existed when the merge into one culture happened. With the Zonai calling the Hero of Twilight the Divine Beast, it would make sense that by the time the sheikah made the Divine Beast machines the title was well known enough that Twilight could be the namesake of the giant mech animals.

TL;DR: I think the Zonai were the result of a culture merge between the Twili and the Ordonians, and that's why enough people knew of Twilight's Divine Beast epithet for the Divine Beasts to be named for him.

Since we’re already on a fairy roll, why not keep it going? I request information regarding Adoption AU: fairies?

Oh, that's a fun one, and also features all of my girls!

So, one of the things I ended up doing while worldbuilding for the Adoption AU was developing a secret society. I called it The Order of The Lost Woods, and it's the organization Tatl works for. (They have offered Time a job there too, which he's politely declined.) And one of the things while developing it was coming up with different ways the fairies and other more magical creatures in LoZ could translate to this low-to-no magic setting.

Enter all of the fairies from HW. They happen to be part of a small project run by a Sprout (someone vying for position of leader of the Order), to try and get some of the fairies more battle ready since they won't all have a Stal with them while in the field, and the modern day is a little more hazardous than decades past. Tatl already had some combat experience (insert backstory details about how she met Time here), so she was chosen to help train the younger fairies, and so her Fountain was chosen for this.

(Side note, I really like the idea of a group of fairies in LoZ being called a fountain, for I hope obvious reasons. A fountain of fairies.)

The plot of this fic is that the people who kidnapped Twilight back in those fics have switched their sights to Warriors, under the assumption that if Twilight wasn't Time's heir it'd probably be Warriors. Heir to the MacGuffin, that is. He's rescued by the sorority he'd ended up befriending at his university, which happens to contains all the My Fairy fairies from his game, which as mentioned are members of the Order and training under Tatl. I use this opportunity to get more of how the fairies function in this AU. And also to introduce all the girls.

They look pretty much the way they do in game, with the exception of Rooke whom I had a strong desire to give an undercut and piercings to for some reason. They also dress basically they way I've got them dressed in game most of the time, except a few of them changed for the events of the fic. I mean, Presilla isn't going to be wearing a dress on a motorbike, that's just unsafe. And then I just made up Proxi's appearance altogether since she's just a glowing blue ball in canon.

Hey! You can totally ask about my headcanon on Twilight's eyes!

So, one of the weird things I noticed at one point is that Twilight's eyes are different colours in wolf and hylian form. It's very subtle, and might just be an effect of the lighting, but Twilight's human form has slightly grey-ish silvery eyes while his wolf form has much bluer looking eyes.

So, you can see what I mean here:

Wolfie's eyes are a bit more blue, while human Twi's are way more silver grey looking.

This, normally wouldn't be a big thing, especially because it might just be the lighting, but I am prone to overthinking things, and so I started overthinking.

So, I can't walk you through my thought process to get to here, because I don't remember it, but the end result is this:

Twilight isn't a Light Dweller anymore, but he's not a Shadow Being either. See, my thought is that the wolf form of his is a Shadow Being, it has to be because it follows the same rules as other Shadow Beings in his game. Light Dwellers cannot see the beasts of twilight unless they're those bugs or are actively attacking them. They also cannot see Link in his wolf form until after the twilight is lifted. Light Dwellers cannot harm Shadow Beings within the twilight, but Wolfie can. So, since the wolf form follows the same rules as other Shadow Beings, I believe that the triforce (which first created the wolf form) changed not just his physical shape, but also what Link was. He became a Shadow Being in order to do what he had to.

But what about his human form? That's still all Light Dweller. It's his original form, and so he's still very much a Light Dweller, even as a Shadow Being. And you can see that in his eyes. (See? I got back to it.)

So, my thought is that, by the end of his game, Twilight is neither fully Light Dweller nor Shadow Being, but somehow a mix of both. He possesses shadows in his soul now, and those shadows become a coat to protect him in his wolf form. (Insert wolf pun about having a fur coat here.)

How does this relate to his eyes? Eyes are said to be the window into the soul, and I took that literally.

In his wolf form his eyes are a more saturated blue, the light at his core shining through, even as he's cloaked in protective shadow.

In his human form, what you have bleeding through are those shadows, hidden in the center of his soul until he needs them, which is why his eyes are a bit more desaturated in colour, looking a more silver/grey colour.

So, uh, TL;DR - Twilight is both and neither Light Dweller or Shadow Being, and whichever one he is the other bleeds through to be seen in his eyes, which is why his eyes are different colours in his two forms.
