Chapter 15: "Bringing to Light"
“That concludes your review. You’ll be assigned a date to meet with General Impa and continue your inquiry with her. In the interim, you’re being placed on administrative leave. Look for a messenger in two to three days’ time for further updates.”
The lamplight guttered atop the writing table, throwing Captain Garyll’s face into sharp relief. Several more lines creased his young face since the last time Warriors had seen him many months ago. Dark stubble covered his jaw, and his cropped grizzled hair was longer than usual. His gray eyes drilled into Warriors, holding nothing but the utmost revulsion.
“That it, then?” droned Garyll, his hands clamped onto the armrests of his straight-backed chair. “That all you got for me?”
“It is if that’s all you’re going to give me,” said Warriors. Drained, he stood leaning against the edge of the writing table, his arms crossed.
Garyll scoffed, shaking his head. It was well past midnight, and aside from this poky command office, the castle barracks were as quiet as an abandoned burial ground. On the wall, the casements were cracked open, letting in a surge of frigid air that choked the life from the room.

Thou Shall Find Thyself: The Journey Home - Chapter 20
Fic Summary: The Hero of Warriors just wanted to reunite with his brothers, but after stepping through a portal that should have led him back home, he ended up finding another Hero of Warriors. After battling several infected monsters, the pair are still on their journey to Castletown, where they hope to find a way to finally get home. Written by myself and @catreginae
Chapter Preview:
At first, Warriors was confused as to what time he woke up. When he looked out the window, he couldn’t see the sun, but after watching for a couple of minutes, he realized that it was just a partly cloudy day and the sun became visible when the clouds moved. It was a cloudy day but he wasn't entirely sure if it was cloudy enough to avoid using his mask. However, he was pleasantly surprised to find that the sun wasn’t at its highest point yet so somehow, he woke up pretty early.
He quickly got ready for the day, putting the lotion on his face to see if he could get away with it. He was going to keep his mask on him, just in case, but Warriors still wanted to try going without it anyway. As he was putting his boots on, he found a note from War, simply stating that he was outside.
Warriors ate a couple of pieces of jerky from his bag, then went outside, pulling the hood of his cloak up as he did so.
He found War on the beach, comfortably asleep with a little sand in his dark curls and Sky sitting near him. The other hero waved when he saw Warriors approaching.
“Hi!”
“Good morning,” he mumbled with a nod before sitting down beside him. “It looks kind of cloudy today? Sort of?”
“It’s getting to be, yeah,” Sky nodded. “It was really sunny earlier. War was enjoying it.”

Warriors: *exaggerated fake crying*
I said the boys weren't;t talking to me and then they promptly decided to make me a liar, so I guess you guys should know
Time and Wars have a shared hatred of mouth breathers, it's emphatic and they show no mercy
Twilight, by nature of working around animals a lot, mouth breathes (I used to do this a lot in the barnyard because unless you got some huge ass nostrils, your nose gets clogged by dust and everything pretty quick on a workday)
Twilight faked it until he made it with his accent, he actually used to have a really posh accent before he moved to Ordon, but he already stuck out like a sore thumb as the only hylian, so he started trying his best to be more like the Ordonians around him, and now it just kinda is habit. He can post it up though still, he very much can (but he would startle himself if his voice reverted for some reason)
Warriors scolds his kids primarily in the fiary language because Time used to pretend he couldn't understand hylian to get out of a scolding, so Wars just started scolding him in his "mother's tongue" instead, out of spite
Wind speaks enough fairy to understand a scolding, but he can't say hello, goodbye, or "my name is ____", just things like "I'm not mad, just dissappointed" and "what were you thinking, you brat?" Hyrule finds this greatly confusing
Less a HC and more a realization: Legend gravitates to the brunettes of the Chain, and only the brunettes. Sky, Twlight, and Hyrule are the only ones who seem to be able to get the softer side out of him
and that's all they've been chattering about, but it's something, no?
