So, this blog has been a little dead for a while. Sorry for the abrupt and unplanned hiatus, I just got a new job and I haven’t had the energy for much beyond it for the last little while. However! I have adjusted and I will likely be getting back in the swing of things in the next few weeks.

That being said, I was thinking that, upon my return, I’d drop something I’ve had finished for a while. So, I’m opening up a small poll on what you’d like to see first:

-Adoption AU

-WingAU

-merAU (though there will be a small surplus of this come May. Perhaps I’ll even convince myself to share some of my own art and get some visuals for characters posted beyond just that one of Warriors and the bust of Midna I’m using as a pfp. We’ll see)

-An LU one shot involving how I see magic and music in LoZ

-A general LoZ fic involving Link taking the Kokiri shopping

I’m also working on a few other things (more merAU so I have a bunch I can drop in May, a thing for the Warriors-Swan-Lake AU, a general LoZ fic for HW where Link meets all the fairies because I love those fairies, etc...) but I only have complete stuff for these. If I don’t get any responses I’ll probably just roll a d4 and pick at random.

So, I decided to finally bite the metaphorical bullet and start crossposting Surface Too Soon onto Ao3 before it becomes way more work than it even is now.

And I got thinking, are there any other stories or series of mine you’d like to see crossposted to my Ao3?

I’m going to gently poke my head back in now.

Hi. I think, things have calmed down now. And I’m feeling safe enough to return, for now at least. I’m not going to jump back to just being here the way I was, but I don’t think I need to step away anymore. It looks like things are mostly over, or at least calmed down enough for one definition of ‘over’.

So I’m back. For now, at least.

That said, I still don’t really want to discuss the recent events, as I have to remain neutral on it for my own mental and emotional health. I am however willing to talk about the past events that lead to me needing to do that, for the most part. (I still will not be talking about that trigger I mentioned, as I fear bringing it up will result in it finding me and I am not doing that to myself.)

Furthermore, I’m not going to be changing how or what I post. This fandom has made me feel comfortable and confident enough to post my writing at all, and outside of this whole thing it’s one of the nicest and safest online spaces I’ve been in ever. I’m also not going to be changing any of my pre-existing stories. Things will continue in the way I intended originally, and this will be the case for all of my works vs canon. Future works it’ll depend on what works better.

Also, thank you to everyone who offered me words of support, it actually meant a lot ot me and helped a great deal.

And that’s the end of that, all the serious stuff is now out of the way.

I am still planning on doing more for the merAU this month, as I promised before all of this. It might be a bit before that gets done/posted, but it will be happening.

Also, while I was going to post more for the WingAU before I had to step back, I think I’ve changed my mind on that. Considering the only request for a specific boy was... Four. You can understand my hesitance, I hope. Instead I think I’m going to edit that general loz fic where Link takes the Kokiri shopping and post that instead. I’ve been meaning to post that for a while yet, and that seems, safe. You know?

After that I’m going to focus on the merAU for this month, since it’s mermaid month. On that note... would anybody be interested in seeing something I drew?

So I know this is a writing blog for me and not a Zelda blog, but all my writing rn is Zelda based so this functions somewhat as a Zelda blog too so I’m going to rant about this here.

So, I’ve been playing HW recently (it’s actually my first Zelda game, amusingly), and I’ve been keeping track of all the fairies I meet in Adventure Mode. I really like the fairies in this game, so I’ve kept track of them and where they are, and what their names are, since you can only keep a limited number (a number that goes up as you defeat the final boss in each Adventure Mode map). And, something happened and I can’t get over the insane odds of this.

Each element has a set of names pre-set for them. You can change the name, but they all come with names. For Light, I have Brill, and I met a Daye and a Caydee. Water I have Presilla and have met Vie and Marie. Fire I have Viola and Milli (whom I originally met as Pona), and I met Rooke. Darkness I have Loyla and Rida (originally Chomp), and have met Mira and Rida2. So, repeat names are possible. It’s random. Whatever.

But Lightning?

Klim, Klim and Klim.

And I just can’t get over that all three Lightning fairies I’ve met so far were given the same name. I just, HOW. What are the odds of that??!?
