My boyfriend, I love him to death, cannot understand how I use up thread when I sew a new button onto pants.
I described to him how the whole thing works and went over the full process. I have even shown him how to sew a button onto pants.
He still cannot understand where all the thread goes...so...
He has decided that sewing is arcane magic and that in order to sew a button onto pants you put thread in your needle simply so that a button goblin can eat the thread and in exchange the goblin attaches the button to the pants.
