The day after tomorrow (that is, the 8th day of May 2026) is Sir David Attenborough's ONE HUNDREDTH BIRTHDAY.
He was there for essentially the entire career of Television as a mass medium, from it's birth, and was personally responsible for an incredibly large percentage of The Good Bits, including not only Life on Earth, but also the existence of snooker on the telly, the first long-form TV documentaries, and the Old Grey Whistle Test.

Appreciate his utter joy in the existence of everything, the incredible quality of the films, especially where he was allowed to write the script, and the way it still never occurs to him to dumb down anything he says.
