Been thinking about Zirkonian society and I think Zirkon might have multiple distinct cultures and dialects! Here’s the evidence I’ve collected

- Sparks is the only one who says “last engineer” instead of “engineer previous” so I guess he just comes from a different part of Zirkon

- Tazer says “buenas noches”. We know the aliens aren’t canonically speaking english so what does it mean when they speak spanish? another Zirkon language?

- in the prequel comic, Sparks mentions he has to use the “little Zirkonians room” which implies there’s another race they share facilities with who are at least intelligent enough to use toilets. These guys might have a different language or something

I was going to put a flower in their hat but Skip describes Earth as luscious so I thought flowers might be hard to come by and not used as decorations, so I thought I’d put a rock or something, but then I remembered Tazer describes earth as rocky in the comic so. bag of slime.

Atticposting #5: Pocket Door

I am, by nature, a bifold door disliker. Give me a pocket door any day. The attic came with a pair of shortened bifold doors for the bathroom. Those came out pretty early on in the demolition and since the wall went back in, I’ve had a sheet tacked up to cover the opening. Atticposting #4: it's floor time

But unlike floor time that fixes your back, this is floor time that makes your knees worse! When I went to start renovations in the attic, I had the (tile!) floor under the carpet tested and to my total lack of surprise it returned positive for asbestos. As it wasn’t possible to remove the tack strips for the carpet without releasing The Asbestos, I had the professionals come in and take it all out.

When I had the attic insulated, I needed to provide access hatches for the contractors to use. Originally there was one door hidden behind the wooden paneling that led to the front space. The access to the back space was a hole busted through the insulation between the studs and never really covered up. Obviously that’s not great, so for the contractors I cut and framed two new holes to hold…
