Penny ships, huh ? Naturally I'm going to think polystar shipping (it's how people call Team Star as a polycule right. or did I just made it up?)

That's many different dynamic at once, tho. If only a few inspire you, that's totally fine! Not like polycule has to mean dating everyone involved anyway.

Okay, so this is gonna be a big one. This took AGES. I won't go over every interaction between all six members just because that might actually be too long, but I will cover how I think they could get together, their interactions with Penny and their interactions as a group.

So I like to imagine a Team Star polycule is just one of those things that happen, y'know? Like they didn't mean to all get together, but it sorta just happened anyway. They kept spending more and more time together, either in batches or one-on-one, and gradually the gang started to get closer. Casual touches, spending nights together when possible, always wondering what the others were up to. And it's ultimately Ortega who's like "Okay, I'm just gonna come out and ask, what are we exactly? Because if I have to deal with one more minute of people in this group pining across the room, I'm gonna lose it."

And thus began the long, difficult task of poly negotiations. They ultimately settle on something pretty open, with everyone involved dating and being allowed to date outside of the polycule should they choose to do so. They also made it clear not everyone had to date everyone... But they all kinda did anyway.

Anyway, let's tackle each member and Penny one by one, shall we?

Giacomo

Giacomo and Penny are pretty opposite people as far as volume goes. When the two are out and about, you wouldn't be mistaken for assuming that Momo does all the talking in the relationship, because it can be comparatively way harder to hear Penny. But don't worry, because Giacomo is super attentive when it comes to the boss' needs. He's always checking in with her, making sure she's okay, and paying extra attention to her.

Likewise, Penny is very much content to let Momo be the mouthpiece for her. She likes hearing him talk about his music and just basking in his passion for being a DJ. Plus, his jacket? Super cozy to steal. She loves making up situations for snagging it. She's thankful he finds her wearing it cute, so he doesn't really argue against her. However, she also makes sure to check in with him frequently, since she wants to make sure he doesn't take too much on at once, something he's always thankful for.

Their favourite activity together is going to the arcade, where Momo is shocked to find Penny is a monster on any dancing and rhythm based game. She's normally too shy to dance, but the moment there's a platform and a screen, girlie loses herself to the groove. It's Giacomo's dream to one day create a song that Penny can't help but dance to, shyness be damned.

Mela

If there's anyone who struggled with the whole relationship, it's probably Mela. Girl absolutely struggles with the whole emotional honesty and communication thing, which led to her pretty early on doubting the whole thing. But hey, she's not the only one who sucks at communicating, because Penny is right there with her. One day Penny comes to Mela and her fierce, protective instincts come in and have her pull Penny's communication frustrations out, the two lamenting how hard this whole talking thing is.

I think that while Penny sometimes struggles to read Mela's intentions, the two very much get one another whenever they're talking. Like they might be a bit awkward, but once the ball is rolling, they totally understand with very little effort, just able to sit there and share their struggles easier than with anyone else. Mela inspires Penny to be more outwardly affectionate since she doesn't want one of her partners to doubt themselves, so the tiny hacker will throw herself into hugs with the fiery girl in order to try and communicate how much she loves her.

Mela has little bits of art that signify how she feels with each member of the gang, and for Penny, it's something far more cutesy with splashes of soft colours everywhere. It's pretty different from Mela's usual artistic stylings, but it's not hard to imagine how the piece signifies something special and calming for her.

Atticus

If there's anyone who loves to make grand, sweeping gestures of love, it's totally this ham. Atticus loves to write poems, pitch outfit ideas for them all and, Penny's absolute favourite - Hand. Made. Plushies. Atticus loves to sneak into places and leave plushies for Penny to take home, whether it be in her office at the league, at her seat in class or even in her dorm, he leaves lil' cute plushies for her everywhere. It makes him overjoyed to see her light up as she adds a new friend to the collection.

Penny, on the other hand, sometimes struggles with Atticus' grand nature. Don't get her wrong, she appreciates how loved she is, but she is a very private person, so she much appreciates the grand gestures in more quiet places like her room and office as opposed to in the classroom. Nevertheless, she loves and cherishes all of the gifts, and her drawers are filled with poems and her shelves lined with plushies.

And deep in Atticus' sketch books, lies something special... A full prom getup for the entire polycule. There's several revisions of each, all attempting to capture different parts of them...

Ortega

The prickliest member of the polycule, Ortega will act all nonchalant until he thinks anyone is judging him or his partners, and you better believe he gets uppity. This, however, is not the way around Penny, because she's quick to defuse him whenever he gets annoyed with people. Though he'd love to go off, he doesn't really fancy the idea of upsetting the boss...

On the flipside, there was exactly one time Penny got legitimately angry enough to be the fierce one between them, and she wound up standing up for Ortega when someone was accusing him of being the instigating troublemaker when he wasn't even doing anything. His heart actually skips a beat when Penny threatens to reduce someone to stardust if they don't leave... And then the person leaves and Penny deflates into a tired husk because that took all of her energy, something Ortega can't help but laugh about.

Ortega totally has schematics for a "Grand Starmobile" just in case they ever need it, with it clearly being designed with Penny in mind... And he will completely deny the fact that he sits there imagining her on it, acting as fierce and cool as she did on the day she stood up for him... Y'know, like a liar.

Eri

Behold, the polycule's biggest romantic! Eri absolutely love, love, loves the idea of, excuse me for the fourth repeat, love! She is the biggest cuddler, is constantly looking for an excuse to hold hands and can't help but sit there and sigh if she's not with any of the polycule. She tries her absolute best to not overwhelm Penny with affection, buuut... She's just so huggable looking.

Penny wishes she could be annoyed over it, but Eri's love is so pure... And she's so unfairly pretty and tall. It's a bit of a challenge to get kisses truth be told. Although she can't quite match the same fervor that Eri has, she does her best to be a good partner regardless, and will make sure to do some nice, romantic stuff for her... Which always leaves the wrestler overjoyed and wrapping Penny into hugs.

Eri is currently the only one dating outside of the group, as she's also dating Carmen! Said Team Star member is flattered to be metamours with everone else and is on good terms with them.
