You know, for the fast food AU, in the first comic with Groose holding Link up to be eye level with Demise, it didn't look like Groose was in a uniform. And personally I love the idea that Groose doesn't actually work there, but is still VERY invested in this weird restaurant rivalry. So he's just sorta always there. Sometimes helping Link with the rivalry thing. But he's not getting paid to do so because he doesn't actually work there.

Also, the fact that SS Link and co. have ended up in fast food uniforms often enough that it's created an AU is glorious. Bonus that Link had to be split in two because it's happened to him specifically twice.

he doesn't work at McDinald's but that won't stop him from modifying every machine they have in there. Zelda doesn't really mind because they always work better afterwards but at this point he should just... apply for a job there

I have Swan Lake Warriors lore.

I'm making Warriors a prince, and Legend and Twilight were soldiers meant to protect him (this is funny to me because these two canonically do not like soldiers and knights). They are the only ones who stayed stubbornly at his side when he was cursed, and so were cursed alongside him.

(Legend likes complaining loudly about how he should have left while he could. He's lying, even if he went back he'd still stay, and they all know it.)

Minish Four and Fairy Hyrule are here, but they aren't cursed. They're just regular magic creatures who are trying their best to help.

Cia is Rothbart, and I'm stealing the motivations from the version that gives me a headache. She wants to marry the boy because she's Like That. And he's pretty. Also she wants his kingdom.

Dark Link is Odile (the person who poses as Odette for the false declaration plot point). Because who else?

Wild finds them while hunting and then panics when he realizes he nearly shot the prince. (He doesn't Twi stops him from shooting them but still.)

Don't know about how the declaration would work, that's a work in progress.

Oh! But I am stealing the bit from the version that gave me a headache were they're bound to that specific lake. He has to be on the water of that lake to get his human form back at night, though it doesn't matter where he is when the sun rises, he'll still turn back. This also means being human is optional.

Also all three boys are bound to Warriors' curse, meaning Wars gets to decide what form they take at night. This makes Legend understandably pissed off.

I'm, still working on the rest. But I have some of the lore figured out. This is what we've got so far! Enjoy!

okay i absolutely LOVE this! the roles might seem"unusual" given their characters/what you said about Leg and Twi disliking soldiers but i think it fits them perfectly - especially if their curse is linked (hah) to Warriors' (which btw, poor Legend, im on his side on that one, i'd be pissed off too if i had no control on my form. Though the idea of being bound by that lake only is REALLY cool)

of COURSE Dark Link is Odile. i don't know why i ever doubted it. and CIA'S MOTIVATIONS... they make sense but im gonna yeet some sense into her

Hyrule and Four not being related to anything going on but being there and trying to help seems really in character and also gives ample opportunity for shenanigans i think. amazing

Hey, I'm the anon from that ask you reblogged a bit ago (I lurk in the notes of headcanons I share via asks for a while after they're posted because I'm curious about what people think), and I see something about using it in a fic?

For one, I am totally cool with you stealing that headcanon, I shared it for the express purpose of letting other people use it, as is the case with all of the headcanons I share.

And also, I would love to read this fic should you write it? I have a lot of thoughts about the fairies in Hyrule Warriors and so am immediately intrigued when someone does something with them.

(Also, I'm always excited when people actually seem to like the things I came up with so thank you, I suppose. I'm glad you liked it.)

It’s a really neat idea and it makes a lot of sense, which is very helpful because I’ve been struggling with how I want them to communicate over relatively long distances. But this solves my problem!

It won’t be the main focus of the fic (that’s something else heh heh) but it’ll definitely play a role. Thanks again for the idea!

Zelda to Ace Attorney pipeline is real.

I'm never getting over how funny it is that so many of us just started getting into the same game at the same time without any sort of connection. That's the funniest coincidence I've ever encountered. We just all collectively decided the lawyer game was good and the lawyers in it were fun.

And yeah, I'm having a lot of fun with it! I'm going to be getting the trilogy for my Switch next week when I have the money, and in the meantime I've sucked in the rest of my irl friend group by streaming playing a fangame I found. (They're all very excited to play the trilogy together too because I am not planning to be sober for 2-3, and I've never been drunk before. I watched a playthrough of it sober, I'm not going to go through it like that twice.) I am glad I got my friend group into it though, because I have had some very silly thoughts/realizations about this series that I enjoy being able to share.

(This is especially amusing to me because the first of my friends to start watching me play the fangame/volunteered to be the sober one in 2-3 is also a Zelda fan. Zelda to Ace Attorney pipeline in action.)

2-3.... man. man 2-3 sure is. something. huh. funny enough UTIL did a drinking game out of it and as far as i know (because I couldn't be there that day) it ended up being a mess. like when the case was done the people who went through it got a "survived big top" role, that's how bad it was for them. wishing your group the best of luck on it

I see the Sky being Jesus thing, and it abruptly reminded me of this conversation I had with my best friend.

So, apparently when Hyrule's games first came out he was supposed to be Christian, and my best friend keeps reminding me of that. So discussion happened, and the thought of a Jesus figure came up and best friend had said: It was probably some guy who had some event when he died and everyone agreed he was sainted or something.

So, Legend is Jesus, I say, as a joke.

It stuck.

This then resulted in the hilarious mental image of Hyrule joining the Chain, meeting Legend, and promptly deciding that absolutely no one can know that Legend is a religious figure in his era, for the sake of their collective sanity.

Also, you've gotten a promotion from 'The Tortilla' to 'Bread Product'. Congrats.

NWNFNND THIS WAS ALMOST THE EXACT CONVERSATION WE HAD IN THE DISCORD THAT PROMPTED SKYSUS

Basically, since catholicism is (at least in aesthetics) a thing in both zelda 1/2 and alttp (the infamous pic of link praying comes from the alttp manual i think), we were talking about basically the same thing, and basically what @nocturnal-ending came up with in the chat was that:

1) the cross is a simplified master sword,

2) the founders of Hyrule are the main figures of this religion (tho we only really focused on Sky), and

3) his diary someone found eras later is the bible

and then we talked about how Legend and Hyrule probably prayed to Sky at one point and now in LU they're mortified about him knowing. and now the chat is chaos

On the note of Links using the triforce, I think Hyrule used it once, in his second game. He needed it to wake up Zelda.

That's the only time I can think of though, unless you want to count the boys using wishes on it, in which case Legend, Warriors and Sky all get to say they used it too.

Otherwise yeah, the Links never get to use it when they almost all have it, and I agree it's a shame. They should be allowed to use the triforce too!

RIGHT???? like, i get that maybe most Links aren't natural magic users (at least not like the Zeldas in most games, where they seem to know how to use the light magic and the alike already), but you'd think it'd show up like... naturally at least, maybe in a high tension moment. It's a divine dorito! ful of divine power!!!! it seems to boost up Ganondorf's powers, give Zelda light magic, but it doesn't seem to do anything special for Link??? this is twink hate /j

and like that's not counting the two Links who got the entire thing for themselves - like yeah we get Hyrule using it to wake up Zelda I...but that's it? and Sky uses it for the wish only, but never gets to use the power itself...

idk i just want the Links to have nice magic too lol

Okay, actually, beyond that last ask, I did ask them for name translations.

Groose is apparently named Hergo, which pleases me greatly because it sounds like himbo, which he is.

Pipit they called Kiko, and Karane is Grida, and Cawlin is Orbo. Stritch is Latruche and Fledge is Célestin. The three other favorites she found are Gondo being Dorco, Orielle being Kinaé, and Beedle being named Terry.

They didn't change any major character except for Fi, who's name is Fay in French for some reason.

Oh, and they called Demise Avatar du Néant, which means Avatar of the Void, which is badass as hell.

And then they pointed out Orielle is a French word that means ear, which I though was funny enough to share.

I find it funny that Pipit seems to have this theme in his name in other languages? Like... Cocu, Cuco, Kiko.... Something's up there

Beedle being Terry is actually like, shared in most languages EXCEPT English as far as I know? He's Terry in Spanish too, and I think he's Teri in Japanese??? makes me wonder why english decided to name him Beedle

and Fi!!! Fi's also Fay in Spanish! It's probably to help with the pronunciation, since Fi would be pronounced as "Fee" in Spanish and probably French? While Fay sounds closer to the actual pronunciation of Fi (Like the Fi in Wi-Fi. In Japanese she's Fai)
