who: chance & open (for @austintxfm)
where: the big austin fair
fortunately for chance, he had his fair share of tinder matches. unfortunately for chance, sometimes, they didn't take his bio of just looking for casual seriously. he'd been in line for the coaster when someone vaguely familiar had caught his eye. he'd shot them his trademark smirk and went back to talking to his buddies...until he felt the telltale feeling of eyes on his back. when he looked over his shoulder, chance found that the once stranger was still watching him, smiling, waving, and moving through the line towards him.
"fuck," he'd said by way of explanation, ducking under the chain making the queue and darting off into the crowd. it was times like these he cursed himself for wearing his boots rather than practical sneakers, which would make running away easier. he scanned the crowd for an escape route and ended up rushing up through a ride line with no riders. right before the single rider on the ferris wheel got buckled in, he slid into the bench beside them, offering a sheepish laugh and wiping his forehead with the back of his hand. a low whistle escaped his lips as the ride started and he draped his arms over the thin bar keeping him and his companion in the seat.
"sorry 'bout that, pal." he huffed out a laugh. "ran into an ex...something. hope ya don't mind company."
