Diana was born in 2018, a year that was memorable for more than one reason. It was also the year Murdoc got himself arrested, classic Murdoc. With him suddenly out of the picture, things felt different. The band was quieter, and 2D, who usually floated through life with a dazed smile, fell into a quiet sadness. He missed Murdoc, in his own strange way.
Wanting to cheer him up, Russel invited 2D out to a local bar. Nothing fancy, just a night out to lift his spirits. And, to both of their surprise, it worked. A few drinks turned into many, and somewhere between the jukebox and the walk home, they ended up laughing, leaning on each other… and eventually kissing.
One thing led to another.
The next morning, they both woke up in a bit of a panic. After an awkward silence, they agreed not to talk about what happened. Ever. Just a one-time, unexpected moment. No big deal… right?
Weeks turned into months, and 2D started feeling a little tired, queasy, and constantly craving strawberries at 3 a.m. A doctor’s visit later, and surprise! He was pregnant.
Naturally, 2D panicked. He knew exactly whose baby it was, but had no idea how to bring it up. How do you tell your bandmate, “Hey, so… we’re having a baby”?
He finally confided in Noodle. She listened quietly, then gave him a supportive smile and said, “You have to tell him. He deserves to know.”
With Noodle’s encouragement, 2D went to talk to Russel. After some nervous pacing and awkward small talk, the words finally came out: “I’m pregnant. And it’s yours.”
Russel was stunned, but only for a moment. Then, to 2D’s surprise, he smiled. “Well… guess we’re doing this,” he said, warmly. “We’re gonna raise a kid together. And we’re going to do it right.”
Months later, their daughter, Diana, was born. She had Russel’s calm presence and 2D’s bright blue hair (well, eventually). The whole band quickly fell in love with her, even if they weren’t quite sure how this new chapter came to be.
And just when things started to feel like a new normal… Murdoc got out of jail.

The cruel words followed her everywhere, slowly sinking into her heart. What started as teasing turned into something much darker, and before long, Diana began to believe the lies she was told.
She struggled quietly with depression, hiding her pain behind forced smiles and gentle laughter so her parents wouldn’t worry. At home, she was still their sweet, happy girl, but inside, she hated her reflection and wished she could disappear or become someone else entirely.
Eventually, with the help of therapy and the unwavering love of her family, Diana began the long process of healing. 2D and Russel stood by her side every step of the way, reminding her daily that she was loved, valued, and never alone. Slowly, she started to see herself through their eyes.
As the years passed, acceptance turned into confidence. Diana learned not only to tolerate her appearance, but to embrace it. What once made her stand out became something she took pride in.
