there is a jedi prophecy regarding him, but it doesn't name him directly, yet when he joins the order it becomes clear that the prophecy was about him.

paul is a jedi during the high republic era. he came to the order older than most, but still fairly young.

before joining the order, his mother had trained him in the ways of the nightsisters, which provided him with a skillset different from his peers.

as a youngling, paul displays abilities that are above average for his status. his connection with the force and his fighting are unmatched by his peers.

paul eventually becomes the padawan of dagan gera (@d4gangera) and trains under him.

similar to d.une canon, paul still experiences visions of the future, but they are tied to the cosmic force and these visions are precise which makes him both feared and respected in the order.

however, even with his connection to his master, paul still feels extremely isolated from those around him due to visions and the ability to see multiple timelines.

galactic republic / empire

one outcome: paul is force-sensitive, but instead of joining the jedi order, he is trained by his mother in the ways of the nightsisters.

second outcome: paul is still trained by his mother in the ways of the nightsisters, but joins the jedi order.

if paul doesn't join the jedi order, he becomes a senator representing his home planet.

one outcome: if paul joins the jedi order, he leaves it before anakin starts killing younglings and escapes to either tatooine, or arrakis.

second outcome: paul falls to the dark side and either surpasses anakin with his abilities or is second to him.

outcome one: if paul is a senator, when the empire falls, he ends up a rebel leader and fights against the empire.

second outcome: as a senator, paul shifts his loyalties to the new order and is part of the imperial ruling council.

regardless of what he does, paul still has connections with the force and as a result, he still has visions.

keep in mind, these ideas are just ideas and i will not limit myself to these things. also i haven't seen the movies in years, so i'm playing off what i remember and pushing my way through with the rest.

paul comes from a powerful bloodline of jedi on the atreides side and the descendants of the nightsisters on his mother's side.

paul made the choice to join the first order both as a political move and a chance to rise in power. as a result, he respects snoke, but also believes he has the power to be stronger than him.

he never directly sided with the light or the dark side, but before joining the first order, he was more inclined to be on the light side. however, after joining the first order, he shifted his loyalty toward the dark side because it seemed to be the only way forward.

he rose through the ranks in the first order with ease and eventually took on the title of supreme leader by taking the title from snoke through questionable means.

i'll find a way to work in some core elements of paul's character, such as his prophetic dreams. right now, these are concepts and keep in mind that i am not limiting myself to these ideas alone. i am mostly focusing on the show, both seasons, but i might tie in some league lore here and there.

paul was born and raised in piltover and is the oldest child from house atreides.

his mother, jessica, is from zaun. she made a life for herself in piltover only through her marriage to leto, but she is still not openly accepted by the people of piltover.

his father, leto, is/was a member of the council and the patriarch of house atreides. similar to house kiramnman, house atreides is one of the oldest houses and is well-respected throughout piltover.

the atreides built their legacy through generations of hard work, successful trade, strong leadership, and extensive dedication to making the city a better place for all. they are also known for providing aid to the citizens of zaun, which earns them additional respect, but also causes tension with others.

paul is a student at the university of piltover. he is drawn to both the scientific and magic sides of things and wants to find a way to work with both.

paul comes from district 1, he was born into a well-off family. his father was from district 1 before it was district 1, but his mother was from somewhere else. she doesn't talk about where she is from and has made many believe she is from district 1.

they left district 1 and moved to the capitol as his father gained more popularity and in good graces with the higher-ups in the capitol.

paul was trained by duncan and gurney, both peacekeepers who also work alongside paul's father. continuing on this idea, paul doesn't know much about what work his father does within the capitol, but he knows his father has a small following that sometimes puts his family in the spotlight.

paul has a vast knowledge of various subject matters, which he puts to use as a gamemaker. he is known for being brutal with the concepts he puts into his games, but his brutality isn't meant to be viewed as cruelty. paul simply believes he is doing well by making the games more enjoyable for the viewers.

it is important to note for this verse that paul was not alive when the bombs dropped in 2077. however, timelines can be shifted to fit both the show and the games. take the years i post with a grain of salt and just know they are points of reference, but don't have to be used.

paul was born in vault 15. he only lived there for the first 18 years of his life before the vault opened in 2097.

when the vault opened, paul, like many other dwellers, left to explore the new world.

in his exploration, paul almost joins the brotherhood, but finds their lifestyle too restrictive for his liking though he does follow them for a while as a means to be safe until he feels comfortable enough to go on his own again.

keep in mind, i am pulling from show and comic canon to put into this verse. i will be flexible with this verse in terms of his parents and sister being alive or not.

his full name in this verse is paul adrian atreides, not the middle name matters all that much, but it is critical to include since he goes by paul muad'dib in canon. this change is more for me than anyone else.

he around his mid-20s during the outbreak.

background: he was born into a wealthy, yet strict military family from new mexico. he was raised in a survivalist-like home and often was mentally and physically trained for the worst outcomes long before the outbreak.

when the outbreak first hit, paul's family compound tried to ride out the collapse. his father died in a raid, which forced he and his mother to flee and eventually the two would join a nomadic group of survivors. these survivors came to revere the mother and son for their leadership and ability to endure the worst of the worst.

as time went on, the group began to view paul as a symbol and a savior to them. he was a leader who could showcase the ways of the old world, while adapting seamlessly to the new. he was a vision of hope that they would survive, and much to his dismay, the people treated him like a god in addition to a great leader.

in this verse, paul is not psychic, but it can appear like he is.

he can read microexpressions, which allows him to predict emotional reactions.

he can strategize for multiple outcomes at once, due to his upbringing in a military home.

he has learned to anticipate ambushes from outsiders of his group and tracked heard movements and patterns.

some basic ideas for my fantasy verse:

paul, who is a half-elf, was the heir to the noble house atreides, ruling over the land of caladan. he was born under a rare celestial alignment and he possesses unique abilities, including heightened perception as well as an affinity for the elemental forces of nature.

in addition to his heightened perception and affinity for elemental forces of nature, paul also has prophetic visions and uses a voice technic which allows him to have influence over other's minds. it is not mind control, it is an influence based on the pitch of his voice he will either be successful or not.

eventually, his land faces a great conflict which forces paul to leave and seek asylum elsewhere. as a result, paul spends the better half of his young adult life on the run. in his time of running, paul ends up at a temple where he becomes a cleric with a modest group of followers, all of whom believe him to be a god for his prophetic visions.

eventually, a day comes when paul leaves his followers to seek out a different life, but somewhere along the way he is injured and blinded. this event is what triggers paul to become known as the preacher. by this point, he is between the ages of 30 – 40.

as previously stated, the preacher is blind, but more than that, he has no eyes, just hollow eye sockets. yet, even without eyes, he can still "see" but has a younger boy, named assan tariq, who occasionally serves as his guide.

the preacher often visits or is found near temples. true to his namesake, he does preach, but his preaching can be called blasphemy as he preaches against his younger self and the god he was made out to be.

the preacher is not a tav, though his abilities may look similar to the illithid powers.

he is originally from baldur's gate and he's still a cleric with a following due to his abilities making him seem like a god among men.

the preacher still leaves his temple but this time around he is alone when he wanders and his wandering is to better understand the troubles in faerûn for himself.
