I suddenly craved to do some fun D. Gray-man fanart with an old OC of mine with Nea Campbell

smh, I really did love the 14th Noah when I watched the anime back in 2008 or 2009 (I was so shook when I first heard the 14th's song like dear GOD, I remember humming or singing it while doing daily things)

D. Gray-man honestly was that first series that really got me into writing, drawing, and story.

Fun OC Details

Her name used to be 'Melcandris', but I might rename her 'Mellicent'. Sort of a cross between the Melisende and Millicent??? I might just rename her either of those two, who knows!

She actually wasn't my first DGM OC. My first one actually ended up being turned into an OC for an original story.

She was a very simple OC born out of the really silly idea of 'who would sing the 14th's song?' + 'huhuhu tragic muse go brrr'

Yes, she has feelings for Nea. Do they ever get realized? Nah.

So here she is! This is an OC concept I've had for a while. I've actually drawn her before, but I won't show it because oh boy it was bad.

Anyhow, here is some info about her.

Chenghua "Archivum Unequivocal" Geo Catalyst (not sure if she'd be a four star or five star) Amphora Fabularum "Vase of Legends"

"The owner of Amber Vase Antiques and preserver of crafts. Blessed with keen eyes, she sees the beauty in all things past and present."

Combat

Skill || "Auspicious Tale" || Chenghua can set down two Ambergold Slips and embed them in the ground. They work as geo constructs. They pulse and cause small amounts of Geo damage while giving attack bonuses to teammates within the radius. When using the skill again, a string with more slips emerges between the Ambergold Slips and they roll closed towards each other causing more geo damage.

Burst || "Remnants of Sagacity" || With her burst, Chenghua surrounds her and her teammates with a shield made from the slips. When the duration of the shield ends, damage is dealt to enemies nearby those shielded.

Backstory/Character Notes

Chenghua is an antiques dealer/archivist whose main goal is to protect and promote the arts and crafts of Liyue whether it is old or new.

As a result of this task, she has made it her goal to create and maintain an archive on the different styles and forms of craftsmanship in Liyue and all active artisans.

She is on the older side and has an inquiring mind always seeking more answers and information than what is initially available.

There is a motherly and caring side to her. She often makes sure to warn travel partners to be careful of slipping when it rains and when someone has trouble falling asleep, she uses her long stories to help them fall asleep. (Yes, she knows she's long-winded, which is why she uses some of the tales she picked up as bedtime stories.)

In her antique emporium, the other prominent person is Quan, her assistant who she treats as a son. (He's also another OC of mine who I'll draw someday qvq, he's also a cool Dendro catalyst)

How did she get her vision? She found it among her great grandparents' belongings. Her great grandmother gave it up in hopes of living a normal life. She had wanted to be the documenter and observer of legends, not the subject of them. Eventually, Chenghua stumbled upon it and reactivated it when she made the struggle and effort to revitalize her great grandparents' emporium while tying it to her dreams (the Artisan Archive of Liyue).

Her name's Carmen Magente Luneta. She comes from a moon settlement called 'Kuneho-39'. She likes going on fun space adventures and also using fun anti-gravity tech either to fix things or to float around.

May her captain never find out she spilled her konpeito stash for the 352nd time.
