Aubrey Dameron, 25, went missing from her home near Grove, part of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, in 2019 and hasn't been seen since
Friends, i bring sad news. At some point ill learn how to post silly. Tw for death, specifically the discovery of a missing indigenous trans woman.
Aubrey Dameron was a two-spirit trans woman, who disappeared in 2019 at the age of 25. She was last seen alive by her mother in Grove, Oklahoma when she went out to meet somebody. According to those who knew her, she radiated love and kindness. She was a citizen of Cherokee nation and the US, and it seems like she was living her life peacefully and happily.
Aubrey disappeared in March of 2019 from Grove, Oklahoma. She was found in 2025 in Picher.
Picher, Oklahoma is uniquely deserted, as the federal government literally paid all of the previous residents to move because of how lead-infused the water was, and the frequent sinkholes appearing randomly in the town. Any building still standing is abandoned, and Aubrey had likely been there undisturbed since she disappeared. She was found January 31st, 2025 and identified a few days later. Picher is less than an hour from Grove, and right next to the border of Kansas.
I want to know where her phone is and pay a professional to comb through the data. She had to coordinate the meeting with someone, and they are a person of interest. Her case deserves attention and respect.
A local police department will respond to national attention with the knowledge that the nation is watching them.
Her name was Aubrey Dameron. She was 25. She is supposed to be 31. May she rest in peace and know that her family has finally found her, and will fight for her justice.
